Their marriage like most YouTube marriages are dead. They see each other 24/7 and never do anything without one another. They don't have jobs where they can get away from one another. Honestly Katie may love her kids but regrets having them with Cullen. She feels she married beneath her and she's spiraling out of control. They are on the verge of being broke and her daughter is a complete brat that acts better then everyone.

I so agree with this. Cullen has his faults, in no way do I think he's perfect, but I do think he's under immense pressure from Katie (and possibly her family) to provide a life he just isn't capable of providing.

This is so true of many YTers. This exact discussion could be had (and has been) about Ellie and Jared.

It’s pretty arguable that the lifestyle YT brings us bad for a person’s familial relationships and overall mental health.

Cullen totally bought into the "YT IS A JOB" dream and craved all the $$$/perks that seemingly came with it...the problem is that it's almost 100% a lie. Except for about maybe the top 1-5% of family vloggers (like Shay who actually made the bulk of his money from Maker/Disney or the Lannings who somehow still have a huge fan base and have diversified into other projects), it's an unsustainable dream.

They won't be doing this in even five years. Did they really think this would last forever?

I think they are both delusional. Obviously, they are both painfully coming to terms with this new reality. Someone needs to get a job or things will just get worse.

EXACTLY! Or when he was drinking and driving the golf cart around?! Yes, he's been wasted in more vlogs than anyone can count. I can't even imagine how bad it is/was off of the vlog. We have to remember they edit the really SH%T out.

I thought it was interesting that she revealed that she started decluttering when things in their marriage got really bad and they were in a separation of sorts. The way she phrased it, I got the impression she was preparing for the possibility of divorce and selling the house (and coming to terms with no more kids), so she was occupying herself with the practical task of downsizing. Now that they're back in that same cycle of "breaking up" and reconciling I'm sure she'll ditch the KonMari method when things are "good" and only return to it when things go south. I also found it interesting in their assumptions video that Katie essentially admitted that if kids weren't involved, she wouldn't have an issue with Cullen's destructive decisions and coping mechanisms. That says a lot about how unhealthy they are individually and as a couple.

Didn't they do a post from the Mechams hot tub that looked like a swinger symbol? I can't remember exactly what the reference was, but the guys were high fiving in a triangle shape above the wives' heads.
