Re: Samika? Part 1
wow
well, that just proved how shitty and pompous tyler and haylee are. i assume this happened after the whole mess with trixin? dang, no wonder samika (mostly sam) was in such a slump.
but now they got rid of people who didn't really seem true to their friendship also, that took guts to do! if it were other vloggers, they would have thrown a fit already.

Who else loves that he realizes having people gossip goes along with the choice to do YT?
He sounds like such a great guy.
T&H's loss.

Just the tone of that message tells you what kind of guy Sam is.

Oh wow. Poor Sam and Jenn. He does seem very hurt by the accusations, but also approached you in such a nice and humble way. He apologized for even bringing you into. He really is such a good guy with good intentions. I kinda of hate Tyler and Haylee even more now. They're like two lame attention seeking high schoolers who got married and are playing house and get off on being pretentious wannabe hipsters. I'm just so mad that they hurt Sam and Jenn.Lovethesnark wrote:I blocked the username he used here because the account is still active, but here's your proof. Re: Samika? Part 1
Holy moly! How paranoid are Tyler and Haylee to do something like that to friends like Sam and Jenn??? That is VERY high school of them...but they actually don't seem very mature - especially Haylee.
Sam and Jenn are better off without people like that in their lives.
I wonder where unemployed T&H are living back in Cincy-tucky? Probably one of their parents' houses. Karma.

Re: Samika? Part 1
An "aggressive" way?? This is absolutely ridiculous. SUCH assholes. Sam is such a loyal guy and after reading those messages, you can tell how sincere he is with everything he does. He really went to some measure to mend this friendship and I have so much respect for him. Those are the kind of people you'd wanna be friends with. I feel so bad for them!
Again, Lovethesnark, thanks for sharing this with us. It really reaffirms all of our feelings on everyone.

I am flabbergasted, T and H are worse than I ever imagined. Poor Sam and Jen, it truly shows what kind of character they have.

Re: Samika? Part 1
I'm not actually surprised about Tyler and Haylee. They always seemed like special snowflakes to me. I feel bad for Sam because this friendship was obviously really important to him.
Just shows that who Sam and Jenn put forth in the vlogs is who they really are. What a nice couple. And they're the ones Shay let go first and he kept T& H on longer. They're so much better off away from that whole Trixin crowd.

Re: Samika? Part 1
Wow at the message from Sam. Tyler and Haylee do not sound like good friends to have anyway if they thought Sam would trash talk them and end the friendship without even letting him prove he didn't bash them first. I used to watch Tyler's vlogs because he really does do a lovely job of filming and editing but I'm with the others who never cared for his (or Haylee's) personality.
Re: Samika? Part 1
I don't follow Samika channel, but occasionally watch their vlogs. This might be a sign two college graduate adults might want to look for occupation(s) beyond YouTube in the future. This entertainment industry doesn't seem sustainable for some nor part of the grown up world.

Re: Samika? Part 1
It's interesting that you mention that they are college graduates because it makes me realize that they only family vloggers I like are college graduates. Must be a maturity thing. But I do agree overall. YouTube is a very risky business. My mom is a fourth grade teacher and over the last few years many of her students have said they want to be YouTubers "when they grow up." It's sad because these kids see all the successful vloggers and see it as a real career choice for the future even though it's practically impossible to make any money at all let alone a decent living from ittratra58 wrote:I don't follow Samika channel, but occasionally watch their vlogs. Yup I teach 11/12 year olds, several kids in my class have channels where they upload videos of them playing games and stuff, and want to be youtubers when they're oldermadi_b_123 wrote:It's interesting that you mention that they are college graduates because it makes me realize that they only family vloggers I like are college graduates. Re: Samika? Part 1
I think the reason Samika stands out to a lot of us is because they seem "different". When you try to explore what that actually means, it all comes down to the fact that they're not necessarily money hungry, irresponsible and self absorbed. Which is sad because that basically means the very high majority of YTers are like that. That's what they seem to all have in commonmadi_b_123 wrote:It's interesting that you mention that they are college graduates because it makes me realize that they only family vloggers I like are college graduates. Re: Samika? Part 1
Sure when you look at T and H you can see it in their facial expression that they have, they are stuck up, makes it like the world owes them, entitled people. Sam and Jen don't need them in their lives bringing around that negative we are better than anyone else attitude around them and their kids. I'm sorta worried about Daehan, if he feels the same or is stuck in the middle of it all.nutbagmcgee wrote:I am flabbergasted, T and H are worse than I ever imagined. Re: Samika? Part 1
Cullen and Katie even were asked to speak at a "Career Day" because a bunch of kids want to be YouTubers. They have no clue how few really make it like Daily Bumps, etc. It just looks like a fun, "easy" way to make a whole bunch of money and not really have to work.madi_b_123 wrote:It's interesting that you mention that they are college graduates because it makes me realize that they only family vloggers I like are college graduates. Re: Samika? Part 1
I wonder this as well. We all know he was distant for a while which made us think they were no longer friends. But I feel like now that he's back, they seem to have put everything aside between them. You can tell he really loves Noah and PJ. Of course, he loves all kids (I've noticed he's a little obsessive over them... haha) but you can tell he has a special bond with Noah. So I feel like he doesn't want to lose that as well. With Tyler & Haylee leaving he wouldn't have much down there in UT (ignoring the fact that Samika may be leaving soon too).Strawberry26 wrote:Sure when you look at T and H you can see it in their facial expression that they have, they are stuck up, makes it like the world owes them, entitled people. Re: Samika? Part 1
Could you imagine if it was a completely honest speech on how to make a career on YT like the "big" channels (DB, E+J)? "So, don't forget to use ridiculous click bait titles to drag in your views, have a new child to keep the viewers happy, exploit them for all of the world to see..and you should be good!'lmmomSD wrote:Cullen and Katie even were asked to speak at a "Career Day" because a bunch of kids want to be YouTubers. Am I the only one who can only pay attention to how beautiful Sam looks in that photo? Yes? I will see myself out.
