Re: xxxJoelPolexxx (Lucy Eades) Part 6
lucy always censors her comments on everything and even deleted her facebook because she couldn't control the negative comments quickly enough and all the people posting links to this website, it is obvious it really pushes her buttons when she gets any sort of negative comment.

Re: xxxJoelPolexxx (Lucy Eades) Part 6
I did a little. :/ Although, I couldn't help but wonder why the shower/ bday party went on when right before it started her son had a broken nose and her daughter knocked out teeth. :/ She said they were taking her to the dentist on the live feed after the shower. And you could see her mouth was swollen. Maybe it's just me, but after all that I probably would have postponed the party.

Can someone fill me in, what in hell happened to Jacelyn?
Please tell me she didn't make that 21 minute video before taking Jacelyn to the dental hospital. That poor little girl, that is horrific.

You have completely misunderstood what I said.OhReallyNow wrote:That's totally different than a child with a huge imagination and no limits for gender roles.
I honestly think the whole idea of gender roles in children is very misunderstood. A psychological theory by Albert Bandura is pretty interesting, and it suggests that children will learn earlier with punishment and reward (pretty given). Obviously, her son is not being punished for feminine behaviors, but it doesn't mean the child will "turn gay" or produce a feminine boy.
If anything, it just means he will learn his gender roles at a later age (closer to the age of 5-6) on his own. If more mothers chimed in on this debate, you would realize just how many children play the role of the other gender all the time.
Until he is 5-6, there is no reason to be that concerned.
And while you don't want your child to be the object of ridicule, I would hate to hear about someone condoning or punishing a child for following or not following gender roles, only for that child to grow up realizing he or she is gay or has a gender identity "disorder" (now redefined in the recently published 5 edition of psychological disorders) and they felt like they were shamed by their parents for feeling that way. Punishing your child for experimenting in the opposite gender role is breaking down the line of communication later down the road and possibly feeding a fear that will develop as a result of being ashamed of being different.
I did say that make believe and dress ups were fine. I did state that I was talking about cross dressing being a constant preference, not just for fun.
I wasn't fussed about what my kids did when they were little, but then I sent them out to kindergarten and school in order to be able to behave like boys and girls, what is and isn't normal, to behave in a socially acceptable way. I never punished either one of them for dressing up or making believe or having imaginations.
The problem with Kacen is that he will not be going out to school. His mother doesn't care what he does or wears and he is not going to learn that cross dressing is...well...a little awkward socially. I agree that its not a concern yet, but I also think he should be made aware that its for play only. I think the way she is handling will be way more confusing in the long run, it's okay to wear dresses at home but not out in public. Oh so it something to be ashamed of then...? No one else can know?
I will state again because you seem fixated on it, I am not talking about Kacen being gay. I am talking about cross dressing. Entirely different thing. I know plenty of gay men and women and not one of them is a cross dresser. Cross dressing is not socially acceptable whereas being gay is becoming more and more so every day.
Not wanting to start this up again but I think you have judged my comments unfairly simply because you misunderstood them or read too much into what I was saying. I am entitled to defend myself.
Re: xxxJoelPolexxx (Lucy Eades) Part 6
Last I checked, unless I missed something, I don't see him going out in public in a dress, and I am positive Lucy and Joel would reinforce the opposite behavior if he were to want to go out in public that way, lol.
Re: xxxJoelPolexxx (Lucy Eades) Part 6
Cross dressing is not socially acceptable? I don't know where you come from but in my area, it happens all the damn time. There's a guy at my school that comes to school wearing lipstick, mascara and girl's pants. He's gay but that doesn't matter. There's 0 wrong with cross dressing. If Kacen wanted to dress like that in public, that's perfectly okay. BUT I do not think that it is his choice, I think it's just Lucy being lazy with the laundry and those were the only clean pair. Perfectly fine. Just so long as it's not forced upon him.

There are many places where cross dressing is NOT accepted, being gay still isnt accepted every where. Where i live cross dressing would get you stares, name calling and probably even harassment.
But anyway about the baby shower, i am so upset that i missed it I can see why she turned off the feed but why not share the video? If it was in the comment section i am thinking it will not be shown on the video(besides her melt down of course). She can always share the video and just disable the comment section.
And her kids seem very accident prone?! Is that normal? I dont have any kids but i have never seen a group kids who are always going to the ER for something. I was a sickly kid but i have only went to the ER once, from cracking my head open on a table while playing but thats it .

Completely agreed. I am sure she is also lazy with separating their outfits, but she does seem free spirited (or maybe it is just lazy) with letting them dress themselves; a lot of parents are that way though. Thanks for chiming in though, because while thegooseiscooked thinks I am totally fixated or stuck on this, I see nothing wrong with the issue and believe and felt the need to respond with my differing view.

Definitely not acceptable where I come from. I think people are still arrested for it.TaylorKnows wrote:Cross dressing is not socially acceptable? Obviously we all have different perceptions of it and levels of acceptance. That's fine. It's become obvious to me that we are all on different pages where that is concerned so we won't come to an agreement. I won't say another word.

Now lets get back to this. Can someone give an overview please?
Re: xxxJoelPolexxx (Lucy Eades) Part 6
Jacelyn's teeth were baby teeth and ready to fall out anyway. I think she even had something in her mouth keeping them from falling out for the past year. Baby teeth don't have roots, so I don't see this incident as traumatic at all. If they were permanent teeth, then yes.
Re: xxxJoelPolexxx (Lucy Eades) Part 6
She was on the water slide and came down while the kid before her was still at the bottom. She hit her mouth on their head and knocked out her 2 upper front teeth. Lucy thought there may have been some root still up in there somewhere, so they were taking her to the emergency dentist to have them take a look at it. I'm not sure why she thought there would be roots up there, baby teeth dont have roots like permanent teeth do.thegooseiscooked wrote:thegooseiscooked wrote:Can someone fill me in, what in hell happened to Jacelyn?

I totally understand! I feel the same about my friends and would probably have the same reaction. I completely respect her for that.

Ouch poor thing!!
Being a auntie is the best gift in the world and when I become a mother my life would be perfect
Re: xxxJoelPolexxx (Lucy Eades) Part 6
She's being way too dramatic. I would've been pissed if someone said that about my friends but would not have ended the live viewing, there had to have been a bigger reason than what she's giving. I feel bad for that girl that planned the whole thing. She was so excited and I wonder if she even got to appreciate it. I responded to someone's comment telling them what was said and she told me that it did not need to be repeated. You end the chat abruptly, people were concerned and worried and she wasn't saying anything.
