I agree, it's pretty hypocritical to throw shade about kids playing alone outside when you've admitted to letting a three year old do it. You just didn't remember saying that.
You also tend to go easier on Ellie and Jared who let their kids play out in the front all the time because their backyard is such disaster of hill and rock. Unlike the older Hoellein kids, those kids are both 2/3.

What the fuck no I don't go easy on Ellie and Jared. I hate them and the only one I go easy on is Calvin because I could never hate on a child. Yes I did let a 3 year old play outside by himself, I checked him every couple minutes and we have a wooden privacy fence, there aren't even any trees to climb and get hurt on.
My only concern was bonnies children out FRONT or unsupervised for longer than a few minutes. I would never do that. Maybe when my kids are much older. And Boston was 3 at the time or maybe even two when he was out front by himself. Just because Olivia is older doesn't mean she can supervise 3 younger siblings. Everyone knows Bonnie doesn't give a shit about safety. Her kids weren't even in proper car seats or boosters for an entire month in Hawaii. They also wear no helmets on bikes or even four wheelers. It's going to take one of these kids getting seriously hurt before you people realize Bonnie isn't the amazing parent everyone thinks she is. You people don't know me or see me in vlogs so please stop attacking my parenting. I can watch bonnies vlogs and what she puts out there and judge her. She is a crappy parent when it comes to safety issues.

The kids had been playing in the backyard daily since the end of school. Your comment implied that was somehow not ok.
There are pro DB posters that I find annoying, but I just eyeroll and ignore their posts. I don't need to try and prove each one wrong, or accuse posters of just loving a vlogger because I feel they are being held to a ridiculously high standard. No one on that board defends the poor safety choices of B&J (E&J)! There are just a few people that also think, safety aside, they do a lot of things right.
This is starting to happen with the C&K board as well. Are they perfect? No. Maybe they do feed their kids a crap diet, but that doesn't mean they aren't fantastic parents in a lot of respects. You win some, you lose some as a parent.... and you learn.
None of us here are perfect parents, and if people can't see that and truly think they are doing everything right, they are probably doing a lot more wrong due to a lack of self-awareness.

The whole thing started with me saying Lincoln probably got hurt being in the back yard alone. Do I think a child his age should be alone even with an older sibling watching them? No. People jumped down my throat saying I let a 3 year old play alone, it's different than a 1 year old... do I let my 1 year old play alone? No. I never called myself a perfect parent. I do the best I can. I honestly don't think Bonnie does the best she can she is lazy in a lot of ways. Especially when it comes to safety. And yes I used the front yard as an example. How do we know she no longer does that, she might not film it anymore.

If a vlogger is going to show you the worst of their parenting mistakes and not even seem to realize it's a bad idea, they probably aren't hiding much. It's the ones trying to create a certain image that make me question what might be left on the editing floor.

Not unless it really heats me up anyway. When I do speak up though, it's usually because I feel expectations on that You Tuber have reached an unrealistic level. Just offering the perspective that it doesn't, and that I shouldn't feel dismissed every time I post because my opinion is a threat to the firestorm.

We can only see what you write. So if you agree with a lot of posts but dont vocalise it by writing a post, all we see is the ones defending them. Does that make sense? To avoid it you should occasionally join a topic about something you agree with, even if you are only adding a little bit to the conversation.

IP checks, feels like it's sometimes used for people's entertainment because they have nothing to contribute to the topic. (And I'm not talking about the mods performing the checks, I'm talking about people requesting them)

Posting people's addresses is also against the rules.
Yes youtubers should exercise more caution with the information they put in videos, but a website full of mostly adults shouldn't be handing out links/posting them on a public website anyone can see.

Not ignorant at all actually, just responsible enough to know that sometimes safety comes before convenience. Yes people shouldn't be harassed or threatened, but the world won't always protect you.... sometimes you need to guard yourself. Privacy is definitely one way to do it.
I have been the victim of stalking and harassment that wasn't my fault as well. I didn't ask for it, but at the same time, I took measures to protect myself and my children. YTers could be more careful as well. There are a lot more dangers out there than people posting on a gossip site.
And NOWHERE in my post did I say they deserve it. Just saying that if its happened before, they certainly knew the potential for more crazy was there.
I've seen it happen Before. Like when jess got her new house someone found it based on the blue carpet. To me that's creepy and obsessed. Why do you need to know how much she paid for the house or where it's at. I believe there was people asking for the link to the realtor listing and someone actually PMed it to people. I get it's a gossiping site but that's too much.
