No you are not supposed to use pacifiers for more than a few months, let alone for another baby...

I always figured they should just keep the diapers for night time. Or is she already night trained?

I figured they kept them just in case she regressed. Crying a few minutes at naptime is one thing, but if she'd been unable to cope, I don't think C&K would put themselves in the position of being unable to soothe her. These are huge strides for having just turned 2.

Even some adults in the YT comments definitely thought the mailman was taking that stuff. I thought about correcting them, but my husband's acct was logged in and I am too lazy to bother with switching accts just to correct dingbats.

ETA: I think they are/were using pull-ups at night.

Just now watching Monday's vlog... The "date night" comment was funny.

I don't think it's malicious, but IMO there's no way these little comments and actions aren't oblique references to other YTers, intended to fly right over the heads of kid viewers and only register with adult viewers like us.

I was on the fence about this until just now, lol.

I was gonna say I've never heard of reusing pacis, but if that's something people do then I just never knew. At night time she wears pull ups.

I can't be the only one who really wants them to retire Ganies' sandals right? This is so nitpicky, I just wish they would toss them. They are clearly not supposed to be yellow in the bottom, and I'm almost positive Grand Dolly made a comment about them too. Some cute sneakers, or little flats would do wonders for her outfits!

I think they are supposed to be brown on the bottom like that, my daughter had some like those when she was little. And actually i remember the comment you are talking about and it was about the shoes she had before the silver sandals, Grandolly and Katie went and bought the ones she wears now the day she made the comment. I think they are just getting as much wear out of them as possible before it gets too cold to wear them, not that it seems like it's going to be anytime soon, it's still in the high 80's here every single freaking day!!! UGHHHHH She wore those cute little boots in the vlog before that and Katie made the comment that its really not boot weather yet. It's still summer here. lol

You aren't supposed to reuse a lot of stuff. I've always known people to reuse pacis if in good shape. She had a ton, most which were probably hardly used.

I get that the outfits are a southern thing, but they're also just so huge on her! They make her head look too small. Would still be not my style, but could be improved by a smaller size...

Im from alabama and i think those outfits are hideous! I dont know anyone who wears them anymore. The smocked stuff is ugly but especially when you add those pants!

I actually adore her outfits, yeah they could be smaller. (My daughter is two months older then Gaines and is finally fitting in 18 month clothing. Good part is, she doesn't need a new coat, bad part is, I'm very apprehensive about buy 18 month clothing because while some run large others run small). I'm not in the south but I just love a grand majority of the outfits! Personal taste.

I like the smocked stuff, partly because my mom used to make them, but the oversized dress with the pants that if memory serves were striped, was awful. But I hate those bell bottom leggings anyway. They should have had her in something a little more rough and tumble for the pumpkin patch.

I was cringing just watching it. Katie didn't panic or freak out, heck she didn't even tell her to stop. I just don't get why her outfit matters that much! She's a kid, allowed to get filthy and looks darling while doing so!

Bingo! I love it too. I -probably- would have put her in a darker color to visit the pumpkin patch, but I am not a vlogger. I think they put her in the white outfit for contrast on camera with pumpkins/surroundings, and were fine with the possible consequence of getting ruinously dirty. I'm willing to bet she has a whole October wardrobe of Halloween outfits. And I LOVE the way they dress her.

Folks here will go nuts over Brooks' clothes as he gets bigger. I might too. I don't love those classic looks for boys quite so much.

It's a shame Katie can't give Ellie a children's wardrobe tutorial! Step 1: Buy them some clothes...

I was looking around C&K fb page today and reading posts from viewers and saw this one. No idea how old this girl is, but her fb profile says she went to middle school. That's grades 6-8. What the what? I can only hope it's a younger kid using their older sister's fb page.



Today's vlog... was Cullen making fun of how DB give Ollie lines to say? Sure seemed like it. And it was hilarious.

I lived in Kentucky for almost 5 years (back in the 90's), so kind of the south, but never saw the type of stuff that Gaines wears. I think it's kind of adorable on her, but possibly because that's what I've always known her to wear.

I love the smocked dresses and Bishops, I love the monograms and little seasonal outfits they dress her in... Except i cannot stand those ruffled pants.. Couldn't stand them when my girl was small and i cant stand them now. We had a ton of smocked, classic southern dresses ect but i always just used regular pants or leggins or tights under that stuff. I can overlook it in a smaller child but i really cant stand it on girls 6 and up.. idk why... i just hate those ruffled pants!!!!
