Re: DailyNewSameOldScriptedBumps - Part
Actually I think the person shoving religion down someone else's throat the asshole. That's just me though. It's something that pisses me off to no end when someone does that. My religion is my own and I don't force it on anyone else so don't force yours on me so to speak. I know I would have had the same reaction as Bryan. Actually I probably would have handled it worse then he did. I had a cousin who was a Jehovah's witness who was always trying to force her religious beliefs on my parents and us their children when I was growing up so someone preaching to me about religion is a very sore spot for me.

I agree. For once, and perhaps only once, I think he responded completely appropriately.

So do and I feel dirty for defending him, but in this case I can't fault him for his response and how he handled the situation.natalka81 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 14, 2019 7:07 pmPirateWench8 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 14, 2019 5:55 pmActually I think the person shoving religion down someone else's throat the asshole. Bryan pretends to be a Christian though if I'm not mistaken so what does he have to be offended about?PirateWench8 wrote:Actually I think the person shoving religion down someone else's throat the asshole. I’ll never forget when Bryan was the pushy one and yelled at me years ago on Twitter because I told him how many things were once Pagan beliefs, it was my first post I ever made (on a different site). So no sympathy from me!!!

Exactly, he likes to flash his religion in our faces when it suits his purpose so I don’t see what’s wrong with someone pointing out he may be straying from the path and should go rediscover the teachings of Jesus. Love the sinner, but hate the sin. This boy is definitely in the position to do some real good for the world and yet he sins (as do we all) with greed, gluttony, etc. Maybe the person who sent that was gently trying to remind him where his heart used to lie. Or maybe it was just meant to troll Brian (yes I deliberately spelt it wrong) to get a reaction and one from this group.honeybear wrote:Bryan pretends to be a Christian though if I'm not mistaken so what does he have to be offended about?PirateWench8 wrote:Actually I think the person shoving religion down someone else's throat the asshole. I don't care if Bryan is the world's most devout Christian. When someone says, "You need Jesus back in your life" in a way that almost definitely has a tone of judgment to it, he has the right to respond the way he did- even if he's behaved poorly in the past. I identify as Christian and I would be most offended by that comment.

Re: DailyNewSameOldScriptedBumps - Part
Exactly my point. I'm Christian as well, but I don't preach to anyone else how to live their life and I would appreciate the same respect. I would have responded in the same way he did. I'm sure I've said things in the past that has offended others, but that does not give people the right to disrespect me in the here and now. None of us are perfect and we've all said and done things in the past we regret, but that doesn't give others a right to judge someone else.natalka81 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 14, 2019 8:11 pm I don't care if Bryan is the world's most devout Christian. OMG, she _is_ wearing a sweater under that dress! Ick! That's even worse than the "modest" wearing a white t-shirt under a spaghetti strap dress.scojacar wrote:jmoysa wrote:
What the heck was she wearing? This came from a fans IG and Bryan reposted it...not flattering of her at all!!
So Bryan has talked to Karl and his producer about a new direction for his life and now he’s perfectly clear. ????? Maybe VidCon was an awakening to them that 1. His music isn’t going anywhere and it’s a money pit 2. YouTube is changing and they just aren’t as relevant (never were) anymore. 3 they were the only ones of their group that were there and it just wasn’t the same, 4. They’re getting old!

Is she wearing a cardigan UNDER a dress?? She loves those midi-length dresses and none of them ever look good on her. She’s just too short and stocky. That length only looks good on tall people.

Re: DailyNewSameOldScriptedBumps - Part
But we don't know if his pediatrician is concerned or not. When people mentioned Ollie's _obvious_ speech delay, Missy went on a rant on Snapchat about how he spoke in perfect sentences all day long and they just didn't catch it on camera. And how other mothers were always telling her how advance he was. He is still hard to understand, although he's better. They could be telling his pediatrician that he is fine but "shy" to explain why he's not talking at his checkups. They don't have to "throw him in 10 different speech classes". But getting him evaluated wouldn't hurt a thing. I wouldn't be surprised knowing Missy, if the school is pushing to get Finn evaluated and that's one of the reasons they're switching schools.TellAll wrote:My younger brother had trouble speaking when he was 3-4ish. Literally nobody could understand him except me and my other siblings. We always had to tell our parents what our little brother was saying. Looking back now maybe he was a little behind but now at 21 he talks fine and honestly is better spoken than most adults his age. I dont think it’s wrong if children have their own language. As long as they grow out of it by kindergarten I wouldn’t be concerned. Of course id notice it and keep an eye on it, but I wouldn’t freak out and throw him in 10 different speech classes. Especially if his pediatrician isn’t concerned. There’s a huge gap when it comes to everything child related. Your child doesn’t have speak exactly like another child their age. I also find it slightly amusing when people on here clearly have children who are advance in speech but act as if that’s normal. Get a grip! No child is the same!louiselawless01 wrote:I think they're in denial about how behind their boys are. In one of their most recent vlogs, Bryan was talking about how Finn had "has his own language that only him and ollie can understand" and saying how cute it was. Your kid is almost FOUR Bryan that's not cute at all that no one can understand him! (Although Finn is adorable in every other aspect lol)TellAll wrote: On their insta story last night or the night before Finn was talking. Bryan commented “great job at speaking buddy”
It seems as though they know Finn is behind but we haven’t seen them do anything. Of course that doesn’t mean they ARENT doin anything but I feel like if they were they would definitely brag about it. Same goes for Ollie. If they spent 30 minutes helping him on his reading each day they’d definitely brag about it but we’ve seen nothing

Everyone has those stories about someone they know who didn't talk for years and suddenly spoke eloquently.
Personal but with a point: my daughter spoke 2 words at 18 months. I knew she should have a bigger vocabulary. Turned out that although she had met all of her other milestones, she was special needs. And we found that out because we got her evaluated. And we got her in early intervention. A lot of people had told me their stories about their brother's wife's cousin who didn't talk for years. But I got her evaluated anyway.
Yes, all kids grow differently. But there are generally accepted milestones. And if a child isn't hitting them, maybe there's nothing wrong. But it's better to get them evaluated and find out there's nothing wrong, than let it go. The longer it takes to get him help, the harder it's going to be for him. And their snarky, defensive attitude towards people who express concern (even in a nice way) doesn't lead me to believe they're getting him any help.
He is almost 4. He should be able to be understood by someone besides Ollie.
Sorry for the rant. But this is something I feel strongly about.
TLDR: Maybe there is nothing wrong with Finn's speech. But it is better to get him evaluated and find out, than let a possible issue go on untreated.

I'm torn on this one. He has used religion to make himself look better in the past-- the trip to Cambodia that supposedly "changed" him, sending a bunch of money and CD's of his "music" to the mission in Cambodia, posting pictures of themselves going to church-- when he wants to. But he's a walking talking example of the 7 Deadly Sins. Certainly Pride, Greed, and Gluttony at least. They almost never mention Jesus at Christmas.PirateWench8 wrote:So do and I feel dirty for defending him, but in this case I can't fault him for his response and how he handled the situation.natalka81 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 14, 2019 7:07 pmPirateWench8 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 14, 2019 5:55 pm Actually I think the person shoving religion down someone else's throat the asshole. I would be annoyed with someone saying that to me too though. So I get it. But I don't put my life on a public platform and then get pissy when someone disagrees with my choices.

She looks like she is wearing something that my late grandmother who was born in 1914 would have called a housecoat. Now mind you my grandmother who was always dressed to the nine wouldn’t have been caught dead wearing such a thing. She was 80 when she passed away and she would wear my bright pink lipstick dark sunglasses and she listened too Hard Rock. What a character she was! She was one cool and interesting Mom-Mom to say the least. I still miss her!lmmomSD wrote:OMG, she _is_ wearing a sweater under that dress! Ick! I wonder if his “moment of clarity” was him realizing that his last shot at music is Christian pop? It’s about the only genre that he stands half a chance in.
Except maybe kids music. But his ego is still too big to stoop that low.

It could be. If it’s taken him this long to have a moment of clarity then boy is he slow. We’ve been saying for years that he could actually do ok with Christian music. Worked for David Archuletta. We thought he was headed in that direction at one point too, but then I think his ego took over....Theirmom wrote:I wonder if his “moment of clarity” was him realizing that his last shot at music is Christian pop? He used to have Christian influences in his songs. He has a line about grace in This is Home. I don’t think he’s going Christian rock though. I think he still believes he’s Justin Bieber and if he works hard and writes/sings his truth, he’ll get there. He’s surrounded by yes people. No one is going to tell him that his music success is tied to their channel success. Their subscriber numbers are climbing, but views are a lot lower than they used to be. Their super fans have moved on.
Re: DailyNewSameOldScriptedBumps - Part
Maybe he realizes he’s just getting too old. Sure, there are some musical artists who make it later in life, but the vast, vast majority of them are in their teens or early twenties when it happens. And, as harsh as it is, when it comes to mainstream music, being attractive and having “the look” plays a very large part in whether someone will make it or not.

I don't know how Bryan can keep getting more unlikable but he manages it. Bryan pulls out the Christian card when it suits him. And Christian music has come a long way. He would still stink.
