This is a brand new construction house in my city. It’s listed for 624k. It has five bedrooms and 3000 square feet plus 1572 basement and 1100 sq ft garage. I can’t imagine paying that much for that small of a house.

I agree, it’s all so shady and there’s no way all the renovations will get done besides the bathtub because they “have to have a tub for Emma”. I would never buy a house for that much to put MORE work into it. $640,000 house where I live! New construction, 5 bedroom, 4 bath and 4,924sqft! I just don’t understand their thought process. Nothing about this house makes sense. Well, that is until this whole “church theory” was brought up. IF it’s true that they were able to pay $200,000 up front with a bank loan, that they would have definitely qualified for with little to no money down, then they would pay the owners in a ‘rent to own’ situation- it would make sense. I mean, that kind of offer would make anyone jump, right? They get to “own” their own house, it’s not at all what they wanted, but better than being in their “dated” rental. Plus it would free up money for all the furnishing they plan on doing. Idk? Nothing about that house matches anything they claim to have wanted. If I’m going to pay $600k on a house, I would want it to be turn-key.

Also, I was wondering if there could be “allowances” for paying full price and that’s why they’re talking about all of these grand plans? Like a $100k for backyard remodel? Nope, huh? Doesn’t make sense either! Ughhh ffs, why do they have to be so secretive! This is the ONE topic that can pretty much interest anyone. If Rash, wasn’t so worried about looking “rich” all the time, and she had a little humility, they could have gotten so many views/subs during this whole process! What a waste!

Hmm, I wonder if they’re going to change that bitchen’ drone shot now that they moved??

I don't believe the "church house" theory, because, like someone else previously said, the timeline doesn't match up. I checked myself and this house was previously sold in July of 2016.

I do, however, believe that 1000% they received help from someone. I don't think her mom made/makes tons of money though. I know Justin's family has money, but why would they give them a grand and take them to Ireland just to turn around and buy them a house? Talk about generous.

I don't understand anything about it. None of it adds up or makes sense. I can kind of jump on the theory of it is someone else's future home and they are just letting them live there but why would she have all these plans.. I don't know. Honestly. I am stumped.

Justin’s dad, the cop, knows the situation and got them a deal cause it’s a murder house.

But, they payed full price
Trying to guess the weird and wonderfully screwed up reasons why they settled on this house is quite fun. We will probably never find out.

The house could have been “sold” to one of the siblings in 2016 to enable them to get a bank loan to borrow the money to do the refurb. How else would they have borrowed or had the money to complete the work. That means rash and justin only had to get a loan to cover that cost - while paying the owners back the rest of the cost.

Actually I live in the San Gabriel valley area in CA about 40 -60 miles from where these people live husband & I just bought a house for $650k
California is sooo dam expensive that if you want a brand new house will cost a 800-1m
The house we bought is only 3bed & 3bath
It was lonely for 10years didn’t even have AC nor heater .... we still got it & we’re fixing tons of things still.
I do believe that’s their cost of this house because here in California a little tiny place will cost you more than 200k anywhere you go.

I also find it odd she went with this house, she looked disgusted at the whole thing throughout the tour, how could they want to pay 640k for an old ass house and a shitty backyard? The amount that house is worth isn’t 640, there’s no way. Doesn’t the bank send someone to get an appraisal on the house and property to be able to give the buyers the proper loan amount? I’m so confused.

Somethings not adding up. I fee the house has bandaids holding it together and got painted and “remodeled” “nicely” for the look. The step down to the “living room” is dumb. To try and make the ceiling higher for that area? The rooms look way small. NO GARDEN TUB EITHER?! How is this shit hole 640k? And the sq ft doesn’t add up, but of course they added that little hut in the backyard as a sq ft and the garage to make it sound like it’s bigger than it is. For 640k she could’ve gotten a newer and much nicer home.

What they paid for for their old house is ridiculous even for CA standards.

Look up houses in Temecula and there are nicer ones, newer ones with pools already for less than what “she’s” gonna pay.

Why would you put yourself in a home that will need a ton of work done? How much longer is the plumbing situation going to last before a pipe bursts? Is the AC new? Are the ducts new or need to be cleaned out? Was there a newly installed roof? The rooms are so tiny. The house has no charm other than the OK kitchen, they’re already talking about putting in grass for the backyard? For the price they paid there should’ve been better stuff done. I mean come on, no tubs in the house? They have to pay and get a tub installed. There’s not a lot of lighting there either, it looks rather bland and dull. The garage is another work to be done, more money going there to fix it. I feel they got cheated or something else is going on. Not to mention yearly property taxes. Gotta use up a ton of water to get that backyard growing and keep nice and green. Then they want to build a “casita”? It’s just a Spanish word for tiny house. Like why build something else that’ll end up eating up resources and utilities.

I know this house in the link doesn’t have the biggest back yard, but I’d think twice before buying a much older house that will probably need more repairs down the line. You'd rather live outside and spend all the money to maintain a decent sized backyard and to live in a poorly refurbished old shack than have a newer home with a ok backyard that actually already has a pool? These people don’t even spend the day outside as it is.

Her face said it all in the vlog, she didn’t look all crazy excited about it like other families that I’ve seen.

What if someone they knew from church bought the house in hopes of fixing up the backyard and turning a profit and in turn are renting it out to Roachelle and Justine for a lower rent cost and they foot the price of backyard renovations? They could have throw out a sob story about spending all their money on trying to build a family which tHeY aRe SuPpOsEd To Be AbLe To Do BuT mAlE fAcToR??? That way she gets to look rich but really they’re just renting (or renting to own) and doing renovations?

I really dont know how she's managing to afford over a half a mill of a house on a YT channel when even Justin is out of work.
Socialblade is an estimate system and it says that she gets a max of 4k a month. And her subs and views are doooown.

I found the house on Google and it looks actually quite nice but rachelles vid made it look like trash. (yikes)

Also, why the heck have they got a huge garden when they couldn't even be bothered to care for the old one????

Most of the time. She started doing it when they brought Emma home because Emma "doesn't like" riding in the back seat alone. I imagine Emma is so used to it that she fusses whenever Rach isn't back there.

So I think I know why they rushed IVF. Big change coming in January for targeted ads with a large kid focus. Focusing on IVF at this time likely helps to ensure that get keep it out of that category. I hadn’t heard about the change until today, might not be news to anyone else but me.

Ok Justine and Rash. I can truly say, with 100% honesty, I am in NO way jealous of that house of yours. I'm laughing my ass off actually. You think that's worth $640k???? I'll say this, the house is average. Decent kitchen (with a weird hole in the cabinets....lazy reno), and everything else is mediocre. I would never want to be THAT deep in debt for that house. That photographer was a miracle worker, because the pictures made me slightly wish I had that house.

MAAAAYBE it'd be worth that price tag after all your dream plans. If it had a pool, a granny flat, a bathtub, and no hole in the cabinets, then sure. I'd pay $640. Or if the current house was closer to the tune of $400-450k. But you're nuts if this is the house you picked at that price.
