I don't know if anyone noticed this but in their most recent video titled "I Nearly Lost 8 Passengers!" Ruby was showing us the retrieved files on her laptop and if you look closely there is a folder titled "Lawsuit Defamation" which I'm assuming has to do with all the controversy from last year. I know I can't be the only one who paused the video and noticed this.

Ruby was showing us the retrieved files on her laptop and if you look closely there is a folder titled "Lawsuit Defamation" which I'm assuming has to do with all the controversy from last year. I know I can't be the only one who paused the video and noticed this.

She probably made sure it was deliberately visible to scare away everyone spoofing her right now on youtube!

Just that thumbnail with Kevin in it is a HUGE turn off from clicking on that video. I can't watch anything with him in it. I cannot handle his arrogant, superior attitude about everything and the way he talks down to the audience. They are the last people I want marriage (or any) advice from. No sorry I don’t but I vividly remember watching it and being gut wrenched shocked she did that! I also think shari stepped in and said to her ....don’t say that to her she is a baby! It was definitely disgusting! She also threw out Eve’s favourite kitty soft toy! She is sadistic!!!!

I don't like how ruby punishes the kids just so she can teach them a lesson. I didn't feel good when I saw ruby threaten to cut eves stuffed animal, refused to give eve a lunch when she forgot it as well send Chad to a prison camp and make him sleep on a beanbag because or playing a prank on his younger brother. My mom would never do that to me or my sisters. I hope she gets in trouble for the way she treats her kids as this behavior really disgusts me. It's not fair that Shari can basically do whatever she wanted and not get in trouble for it but the other kids get in trouble because she wants to teach them a lesson. Making your child starve won't magically make remember to pack their lunch every day.

I also love how she has a folder called "Homeschool". Like, you're educating children of how many different ages and that little folder is all you have?

They seem so unhappy in their marriage. No genuine affection. Kevin is an in-and-out kind of husband...and I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'd be upset if my husband kept putting me down as much as Kevin puts Ruby down. The McDonald's wedding comment makes him sound so up himself. Wouldn't that be one of the happiest days of his life? Or what about their children being born? Or their first Christmases and birthdays? In 20 years, his best memory is his 2019 East Coast trip? Where they had to put down their dog and rushed Chad away as soon as they got home. I feel like it's the time frame that made them happy...at that time their house had been renovated, they could talk down to viewers as unlicensed therapists, go on lots of trips...then 2020 came, they moved into a house that still seems unpacked, the rooms look empty, like there's no money to furnish and decorate. They got triggered when viewers clapped back at their parenting, or in Kevin's case lack of parenting. Ruby's depressed, I'm sure. Family drama and your only comfort of a husband only wants her for his physical needs. This is why you don't marry someone without falling in love - genuine love. Not a checklist, rushing down the aisle to appear more holier-than-thou. If it wasn't for their belief of eternal marriage, maybe, just maybe, they'd go their separate ways and find genuine love and happiness.

Listening to Kevin rambling off all the opportunities the kids now have to learn. What about reading, writing and arithmetic? The skills he listed are all things the kids could have been learning all along, in addition to school. Unfortunately, neither himself nor his wife can put the effort into giving their children opportunity to learn outside of school. According to Kevin and Ruby, you have to be in school to learn how to bake/cook, sketch, paint, act, learn a language, or to skateboard, or swim? If a child has an interest, get them books regardless of whether it is for school or not, a trip to the library is not just to research a book report, and paint brushes and paper are not only for art projects. We now have confirmation these kids have never been exposed to freelance arts at home until this year (Shari getting a painting set for Christmas....) Parents are at the head of the line to usher their children through the doors of learning.

I disagree with this comment. I come from a farming family and the men in general hardly ever show any form of emotion and for me this is normal. My dad doesn't like giving hugs or touchy feely so from the outside looking in it looks like my parents don't love each other very much but since I grew up there I've seen both of their love languages and I dont think its wrong one way or the other. The problem is we simply don't understand it. So yeah if you'd ask him something special he wouldn't talk about the day my parents got married or the day we were born...he is more in the present. Doesnt mean he loves us any less. I didnt mean to talk about me, but I also wanted to share that not all men talk about emotional things they are more direct and like to be in the present. As far as their family I will stay out of it because I dont know

Kevin takes every opportunity to be away from his family and hardly knows anything about his own kids as was very obvious at Christmas. He's a pathetic excuse for a father, and especially shocking coming from a culture who puts so much stock in family values. He seems to see his role as father to procreate and then let the women deal with the family. I think he's too self-centered to be a very good husband or father, he'd rather look at his muscles in the mirror.

That 20 years of marriage Q&A was hard to watch. Did they really say that the first 19 years of the marriage worked by controlling each other? Sounded to me like their marriage is a matter of "He controls me, I control him, we don't care as long as we give each other what we want". The word 'control' should never be used when describing a relationship. They rambled on so much, but were they hinting at having relationship problems with the topic of divorce? What made me sad was when Ruby said there was no abuse in the relationship, so divorce wasn't an option for them. I guess that's the standard in religious partnerships. Doesn't matter if they cheat, lie, manipulate, treat you like crap, control you, or if you're 100% unhappy and miserable. As long as they ain't abusing you, you're stuck with them. I also found it significant that she only said 'abuse' was a reason for divorce, didn't mention cheating or having an affair. Maybe she was hinting that she wouldn't be able to leave Kevin even if he is cheating on her.

Also, if Ruby wasn't an awful human being I probably would feel a tiny bit bad for her. Kevin is such a jackass. The jabs to her cooking with the blender discussion, the East Coast trip being his favorite memory with her (Ruby's was pretty dumb, too, but at least it was something cute with just the two of them), and the 'McDonald's wedding' comment. He is so full himself, it's painful to watch and he seems completely emotionally removed from his wife and entire family. Their son got sent away for months after that trip and had an 'emergency therapy session' during it, but Kevin thinks it's a great memory. I think that's always how it is, that he lives in his own little world and is not affected or moved at all by anything that happens within the family. As long as Kevin enjoyed the trip, the rest doesn't matter.
