I agree! She seemed kind of over it.

Everyone else was playing games and up and about chatting, while Lucy just bummed around on the couch most of the time. She probably knew it was kind of getting boring for viewers.

I thought for sure though that when the kids had their party, that she would turn the live stream back on. But then again 2 out of the 3 children were hurt so maybe that's why? There were a lot of comments about people being surprised she even went ahead with the party when they knew Kacen had got hurt...let alone Jacelynn had too! I wonder why she never mentioned her injury at the beginning?

Probably because people were already asking about Kacen and she already knew she was being judged for having the party despite that. Adding another injured child? She would've never have heard the end of it.

I know Lucy and her family have been through a lot yesterday, but I think she's starting to lose it.

All she had to do was put a link for the "Let's Chat" video in her description box or put in a short update on Kacen, but since many viewers are asking questions about Kacen or the shower, she's basically spamming her own comments section with the same sentence to anyone posting a question. Besides that, she's back to arguing and chastising anyone who isn't agreeing with her about shutting down the live feed.

I don't remember exactly but it was phrased as a question. Something like, "Does anyone else notice that the only time Lucy's friends are shown on YouTube is if they're less attractive than her?"

The woman (I presume) who posted the insulting comment has her own family YouTube channel. IMO she's jealous of Lucy's success, number of subscribers and is probably trying to attract attention to her own site.

I don't normally defend Lucy but I understand what is going on.
1) Her kids got hurt
2) The party was boring
3) People were being rude about her friends that agreed to be in the video

I would not be in a good mood after that and being pregnant and being 1-3 weeks away from labor hormones are blaring. Sure it was 1 comment but the whole day wasn't good and that was the last straw.

Yeah, I'm 28 weeks pregnant ATM and I have to keep my hormones in check regardless of what situation I'm facing. It's part of being an adult.

I understand that she took the live feed down because she didn't want to keep it live and letting her friends be made fun of like they were. Plus.. has anyone looked up the girl on Youtube that said that comment? She is not the prettiest painting in the art gallery by any means. plus.. in one of her older videos, it looks like she is trying to look like lucy.. pathetic.
However, I think she could have handled it a little nicer and instead of saying "THIS IS WHAT YOU GET", She could have just said, "because of that one mean comment, I will not be continuing and will update later. "

So, can I just check I've picked up the story from bits and pieces you've all said?

They were having a triple party to celebrate K and P's upcoming birthdays and a shower for the new baby. I don't actually have a problem with this, parties are expensive and it makes sense to only expect your friends to make the trip once.

Early on in the party, Kacen was injured on a water slide (I'm assuming its an inflatable climbing thing) and was taken to ER for a suspected broken arm. It wasn't broken but on her way home, she calls Joel who tells her Jacelyn has now been injured on the same slide and has a mouth full of blood. She hit her face on the back of some other kid's head and has knocked teeth out. (Side note, was any adult actually supervising the obviously dangerous slide and behaviour of young children?)

So she arrives home and instead of racing Jacelyn to the dental hospital, starts the live video feed and continues with the party. Then one of her friends is insulted and only then she decides to end it. The party ends and Lucy starts up yet another video feed explaining why the video feed was stopped. She still hasn't taken Jacelyn to be seen.

Um, Ive always thought Lucy was screwed up but this takes the cake. Jacelyn had teeth knocked out of her head. From what I can see, it looks like 4 or 5 teeth are missing. This is pretty major trauma to a kid's mouth. A lot of you have commented that baby teeth don't have roots...well that attitude kind of horrifies me. A knock that hard to a kid's mouth can seriously damage the adult teeth waiting to come through. The poor girl would have been pouring blood out of her mouth and would have been in pain. And Lucy's priority was to make a video titled Lets Chat.

Maybe it's just me but if my poor daughter's mouth looked like that and she had been through that, I wouldn't be all chatty and laughing on a frigging YouTube video.

I really hope I am mistaken and I have misunderstood what happened. Wow, just wow.

They were getting ready to leave to take J to get her teeth looked at. I don't know how dental hospitals work but maybe they had to wait for an emergency appointment or till walk in hours, or what but they were getting ready to take her.

She had the live feed for attention to her channel. Her friends were there to celebrate with her. They weren't there to put themselves out there. Im sure they would be just as happy had the video not been going. She said there were a lot of people outside playing and having fun. Maybe there were too many people to just shut down the party. Im sure she passed what judgement she thought she needed to as far as injured children goes. If the ER drs allowed her to come home and do the party, then Im sure it was ok to go ahead with the party. Obviously the kids were in good enough spirits come the video yesterday evening explaining everything. They weren't dying or in serious pain. Im sure they enjoyed their party. They were leaving after the video to go be looked at. It all clearly wasn't emergencies. There certainly weren't any crying children in her lap during the shower or anything. Im not one to defend Lucy but in this instance, this is just how I see things.

She also mentioned sometime recently Jacelyn had a few loose teeth, perhaps the ones that came out were already loose? And I know most dental hospitals where I am you have to wait for an oncall dentist to get to the office to meet you. They aren't just hanging out there like an ER

I agree! Lucy had every right to shut down the live feed, if I were her I'd do same. She just wanted to enjoy the party and has every right to do so without having ppl judge her friends. They were there for Lucy & the kids not to put themselves out there for everyone to judge. I'm sure Lucy will do a seperate video to thank those who sent her gifts. Agree totally that if her kids were in need for urgent attention that they would have postponed the party but they obviously felt that it could wait till after & for all we know the kids probably didn't want to wait for the party.

Yeah.....okay. Maybe you're right. Jacelyn wasn't crying in the video but she almost certainly had been not long before. Her eyes were all red and puffy.

My first priority probably wouldn't have been to make another video after all that though. I think that's kind of crazy. But maybe it's just me. I am shocked about the whole thing, can't believe Lucy would be laughing and smiling after the trauma her children had been through that day. I thought all mothers felt devastated at their children being injured. Obviously not.
