Yes, and if I remember correctly, Katie seemed a little pissed at Cullen because he stuck her with most of the kid duty while he ran arpu d with his buddies. If I was Katie, my hubby and I would have had a serious conversation about that when we got back home. Lol

I 100% agree (we agree! Yay!) I don't think it's good for those little kids to have all those strangers pawing at them or screaming when they walk in like they're Justin Bieber. And the adults usually say stupid things like "These people are all our friends". But they're not. It's creepy that these YouTube celebrities, most without a particular talent, have people screaming for them and trying to touch them.

It's so weird and i know lots of people have compared it to animals on display at the zoo and its exactly what it's like. Also parents calling a million random fans their "friends" in front of the kids is so dangerous. All it would take is one lunatic telling a child "oh I'm your friend!" to lure him/her away. When the term is thrown around like that they don't know the real meaning. It's dangerous for them to think everyone is a friend.

And the snakes on DB were mostly rattlesnakes. They did kill one that wasn't venomous, and people did comment.

And two other things: water moccasins and cottonmouths are the same thing. And just because everyone in your area says poisonous instead of venomous, doesn't make it correct. Katie was still wrong in saying it might be "poisonous".

I have a feeling DB killed a lot more than what they showed. Missy was not ok with those snakes.

I do, myself know that cottonmouths and water moccasins are the same thing, i think i had listed them separately before, but it's was just a mind slip, naming them off in my brain i called them by both names. I think the other poster wasn't saying that poisonous was right, just that thats why she said that, ive always called them poisonous as well and never thought about the fact that venomous and poisonous meant such different things. ( i do get it though, snakes and bees have venom, ant killer and sumac are poison...)

That is exactly what I was saying. I was just explaining that it's the way we speak in the south. I get so tired of people stereotyping southerners as a bunch of "unlearned hillbillies". All regions have different terminology for different things, it doesn't make them unlearned for using them.
I am sure there are words/ phrases that ALL of y'all use that I would think as wrong or improper.

They have had some serious bad weather today there and i've seen video on twitter of tornadoes just south of Bham which is pretty concerning for them. I hope they are ok and I'm buckling down here, we are expected to get that same weather later tonight. I hope it fizzles out.

Did he have Gaines with him? He posted a picture of her in a Walmart cart on Instagram not too long ago. Why would they even be out of the house? They had to have known they would be getting bad weather from the tropical storm. Katie just had groceries delivered, and Cullen has been in Sam's Club at least twice in the past week. I live in "tornado alley." You don't fuck around with tornados.

That's what I meant. I am sorry for sounding like a snob, but it's just wrong to call them "poisonous". It's not that _I_ personally think it's wrong, it is wrong. It's not like a local thing like "I'm fixing to" (Texas) or "outen the lights" (Pennsylvania Dutch). They don't have poison. They have venom. People all over the country use the wrong term, not just Southerners. No matter how many people in the area call it that, it's still wrong.
I've lived all over-- Navy brat, traveling nurse and then Navy wife- and have heard lots of different sayings and idioms, but this is just being imprecise with language.
Rant over. I'll shut up now.

Yeah nothing happened in the city they live in. It happened way north of there. My sister lives where it hit and thankfully nothing happened to them. But it did all around them. You know if you live in the south to keep your butt at home during this type of weather. Because like James Spann says it's like playing whack a moles with tropical tornadoes. I live just south of Birmingham.

I was in Tuscaloosa for the big tornado in 2012, so James Spann will always have a special place in my heart! I'm glad he's still keeping people safe and reminding us all to "respect the polygon."

I feel for Cullen. I've had eye ulcers before and it was absolutely miserable. I could barely open my eyes, especially if there was any light.

I've definitely been much more diligent about taking care of my contacts since then. I never want that again.

I don't understand. Does their area not typically get tornado warnings? Cullen was out of the house knowing about the tropical storm, and Katie said the sirens were going off in their neighborhood, but she was in her bedroom and not the basement. Surely returning some mats and buying a beanbag chair could have waited until the severe weather was past them.

Yeah not sure why he was out. We knew about this yesterday and even the day before. We get tornado warnings all the time here. He should know better. He is one of those people that James Spann fusses at.
