Last year those kids got thousands of dollars of gifts and madi got 3 matching swimsuits they got for free from RAD swim, free random RAD swim garbage (bag tank top towel) and $100 like sure I guess the trip to Hawaii was part of her gift but it was a gift for the other children too and they still got thousands of dollars of gifts...

I don’t know I just think Madi gets the shaft.

Agreed. Madi wanted cash last year. But that $100 is nowhere near comparable to the other kids. If they give her $100 this year I will go off. One present for each of the other kids was almost $200. Flying her to see them isn’t a present either and you’re right that the Hawaii trip doesn’t count since the other kids went too.

Curious how child support is calculated when the parent is a Youtuber? Also curious if they’ve adjusted it in the last year at all when his income skyrocketed?

I would hope mindys parents got something for madi, but we must also take into consideration that they don’t really see Madi all that much. Don’t get me wrong, I think Madi is a sweet girl with her head on straight and she’s not a brat whatsoever. But she does live in another state. She comes into town 2 maybe 3 times a year. I don’t think either of them hate each other or anything. I just don’t blame them for not being close considering the situation.
They may get her a gift card or something that’s not really worthy of opening on camera (not quite the thrilling vlog content Branden strives for).

I do wonder if Madi might have larger/more expensive gifts shipped to her. That would make more sense than opening them in Utah, then having to either haul them home on a plane or ship them afterward. I hope that is the case.

I don’t disagree that he’s far from humble. The whole family is far from humble, as a matter of fact. However, I’m going to give them the benefit of the doubt (for some reason) because I just don’t quite believe that they bought Maddie so significantly much less than the other kids. I’m sure she got something sent to her or maybe got a lot of money. My sister is 10 years younger than me, and when I was a teenager I always had far fewer gifts than she did… Even though my parents spent just as much, if not more, on my gifts.

Finally sat down and watched the videos and all I can say is wow! Gosh forbid they fall from "Youtube" and actually have to make a real living. The kids are going to have a hard time adjusting to that!! I was very thankful for my new hoodie and slippers from my mom!! It's what I wanted.

20-25 minutes on the vlog just for the scavenger hunt! Had to skip through it because Megan being overbearing sometimes . Did you notice how excited Eve was about her “Barbie” RV? The BIG surprise trip was a huge success! NOT!!! I think this Christmas was a bust for Megan! She sure did sound disappointed when she said it was her best Christmas so far! Better luck next year Megan....

Finally got around to checking out the Hazy beat down during the live video. Yikes. Definitely doesn’t look like a sweet child to me.

I acknowledge the point that they only see Madi a few times a year. But it's been FOURTEEN years, and we don't know when she moved to California, do we? If someone else does, I'd be interested to know.
Sorry, but with the way Mindy's parents throw cash at their blood grandchildren, a little of that should go towards Madi. Mindy likes to make like she's just like a real daughter, when she's not gushing over how having Hazy "completed" her, so they can't have it both ways. Either she's really a part of the family, like they like to say she is, or she's very much a stepchild, with the emphasis on "step". I could be more forgiving if they hadn't known her 14 years. And maybe I'm projecting, because although my ex-husband's wife's family treats my daughter well, she herself is evil stepmother incarnate. All she needs is a poison apple. So I know how much it can hurt. And it's not even about the presents themselves, really. Because Madi isn't a spoiled girl (neither is my daughter-- she refers to her step siblings as brothers and sister, without adding "step"). But Mindy and Branden have called Madi a stepsister, when she isn't. She is their kids half sister.

The waste irks me. She goes bananas every year buying all new crap, but leaves it up for a month. Not even the whole 12 Days of Christmas (which she probably thinks starts December 13, not the 25th). Then she takes it all down the day after Christmas, and next year gets a different bug up her butt, and has to buy more NEW crap, because the old stuff doesn't go with the way she wants to decorate this year. Remember last year with the "big ornaments"? And how they had to have a tree just for all the junk viewers sent them?
This woman needs a hobby. She's casting around for meaning, because church and all, her days are empty. With Hazy in school, and no more manicure business, she's probably going out of her mind. I start to twitch just listening to her yammering about stupid stuff to the camera!

Ugh i cannot stand Hazy at all, she is completely hogging all their sister's attention and snatched the sibling gift of Krew and was the only one who needed to he reminded to give a hug and say thank you for tbeir gift. I think Madi has always lived in California. I think Branden moved to CA, got married, had Madi, got arrested/divorced, then moved home to Utah with his parents to get his act together again.
Like I said before, I don’t think anyone hates anyone. I’d just wager to guess her parents got Madi a gift card or something small, and since Madi isn’t there when the grandparents are, the gift is just not shown on camera. Although I’d also guess it’s not as much as all the other kids gifts, but I’m sure it’s something. I’m also guessing B&M probably just give Madi gift cards or cash so that she doesn’t have to stuff her suitcase with gifts. Or they just ship directly to her. Let’s hope at least!

Branden did mention in a q&a or something that he never heard of the term “half-sister” before because I guess people were telling him he was wrong in comments when he had mentioned Madi as a step-sister. I think he’s just uneducated in that sense, perhaps.

We would always ship their gifts to them and vise versa so that they didn't have to be taken on the airplane. If that is what they do then that of course isn't going to be shown on camera being that Madi does not vlog when she is with her Mom. They could also give her gift cards which a lot of teenagers prefer so that they can pick out specifically what they want. I'm going to have to give them a pass on this one.
