I don't really remember. I was six and I was excited about having a new baby brother in two weeks ( he came in Oct in the end) I remember seeing a picture on the TV with the towers having smoke billowing out but that was days later. I have no memory of that day.
In the name of the moon, I shall gossip about you.

I Need some advice from all of you. What is something that I could carry on me that's fairly small incase I ever needed to defend myself. I was thinking pepper spray.

Depending on what state you're from, you could carry a small knife on you. I personally always have pepper spray on my keyring, a stun gun in my purse, a fixed blade on my hip and a small knife in my pocket. Just make sure if you do carry a knife that it abids by your state laws. In California you can carry a nonfixed knife concealed and a fixed blade under 2 inches concealed.

I was 7, in my second grade class. I went to a Christian private school and they didn't announce anything specific as it was the parents choice to tell the child whatever details they wanted. They asked us to have a moment of prayer but being 7 years old - I didn't understand why.

I don't remember what I felt other than fear. I was terrified for years.
I live in a city with a huge navy base and one of the most obnoxious girls in my class told me that her parents believed our city was next to be attacked.

I may be the only one, but I find it ironic in the worst way that Obama just announced a "never ending war" and an air attack against the middle east yesterday, on the eve of what was possibly the worst thing to happen to America.
Saddening.

I feel so weird because most people my age or at least people that were in elementary say their school didn't announce it. Looking back, I wonder if it was so smart. I mean, what if an older kid had a parent that worked there? They would know that was it. I don't think that was the case for any student but still. I guess they didn't want to hide Anthony from us.

Watching Barney feeding my daughter breakfast.
I looked out the window and said "It's a beautiful day sweety. Let's see what is going on in the world."
Changed the channel to the news.

@madhatter42 I'm canadian so I have nooo idea what the restrictions are here. Just remembered a family member of mine is a cop and I can ask him. He's helped me with this stuff before I don't know why I didn't think about him before. Thanks for the website whatshername I had no idea those key rings existed I'm definitely going to get one!

This day 13 years ago (can't believe it's been that long) I was at elementary school but it wasn't announced or anything either at least not that I can remember, but when I got home I remember being outside and my mom calling me in to tell me something bad just happened and a lot of people were hurt and we should say a prayer. When I get the money I really want to go to the museum. I would love to take my son one day when he's older.

Cakewalked and whatsername, I had figured I was about the same age as you girls (from being a lurker- I always pay attention to who is posting) and your 9/11 posts confirmed that.

I was also in second grade. My teacher was reading out of a chapter book to us when the teacher from the classroom attached to ours walked over and whispered in my teacher's ear. She turned the TV on for a moment but said it was too gory.

Please tell me one of you ladies has any tips on how to deal with tooth pain. This one wisdom tooth I have is coming in wrong I think it's impacted I can't remember but anyways the others didn't cause me any pain just this one and to the point I can't eat. Soup was even hard to do. Advil and Tylenol don't do anything. Orajel isn't working now either. I had to get my mom to help with my son today because this damn tooth is now making me sick. I've tried everything it seems :( sorry rant over..

I've got nothing. My wisdom tooth came through awhile and I didn't realise it was there til I ran my tongue over it. Which is weird.

^^^^^has the tooth already pierced through the gum?

If so, smear some peanut butter over it, trust me it actually helps! !

& even if it has or hasn't pierced through, using a heat pack or water bottle rapped in a tea towel & place it on the affected side! Hope it helps :-(

I have one wisdom tooth that popped through a long time ago. It never bothered me now it is. Getting it pulled this week. I got the others pulled way back. I am so nervous. They said the root is huge and they are putting me under. WHAAA! Trying to pull through till after my daughter's birthday this weekend.

Clove oil... Ground cloves will work too in a pinch. Raw garlic (you can press a small piece with the side of a knife) and placed on the sore part of the gum... Liquid anbesol or orajel... There's also a severe pain form of the gel that helps. Mouthwash helped me but I had an abscess.
