It's SO annoying!!!! Just because a child cries or whines DOESNT automatically mean they're sleepy! Omfg. Kudos to Kyra for being honest that sometimes Levi just isn't in the mood and if he cries, it's not always because he needs to go to sleep. Kyra is a little better but overall they can't read that child AT ALL. And seriously they should find more age appropriate ways for Levi to enjoy the snow. Sledding is not one of them. It's WAY too fast and it freaks him out. He's just too little! They are so clueless it actually scares me.

A couple of interesting websites regarding sledding w/your little ones:

https://www.families.com/blog/taking-your-baby-sledding

..."If your toddler is climbing up onto furniture, she’s probably old enough to handle sledding. If not, she might be a little too scared. It really depends on your child’s personality. My son is a little daredevil and his phrase of choice during our sledding adventure was “again!” He could just not get enough. Both times we have gone, we stopped because we were getting too cold or too winded to keep climbing back up the hill.

Always ride on the sled with your toddler and sit in the back so you can hold them with both arms. We bought a long toboggan style sled with handles on each side. We have a small hill in our back yard that is perfect for taking a little one sledding. It is steep enough to give us a little speed, but short enough that we don’t go too fast and we stop before reaching the house. (That’s always a good thing.) Keep a close eye on their cheeks to make sure they are not getting too cold. We bundled up our son so much that he could barely move, but we noticed that his nose was getting pretty cold so that is when we brought him in. Baby skin is extra sensitive and your child will probably not tell you when she is getting too cold.

You don’t need a hill to take your child sledding..."

http://community.babycenter.com/post/a3 ... r_sledding

Interesting comments, above at this parenting board, about taking toddlers sledding for the first time. Most of the parents there state their little ones were approx. 9 months old.

I would say, just from what reading I've done on this topic, that it all depends on your kid. The biggest thing for me would be SAFETY FIRST. Apparently, you can buy sleds that have belts, which obviously would be ideal, especially for a child as young as Levi. Of course, the parent/adult should ride w/the child, keeping a firm grip on the child all the way.

And finally, you don't need to go down a hill for the first time! You can drag the child around on the sled initially, to get the child used to the idea of sledding. WHEN THE CHILD IS READY, then perhaps try going down a smaller hill first, and see how they react. Clearly, Levi was not at all impressed w/his first sledding experience. As usual, Oscar didn't consider certain safety issues, nor how Levi may react to his first time going down a hill. I can remember my first experience sledding. I went w/my dad and my sister. I was around 5. The hills we went down were huge, but we were ready for it. We loved it, but at the same time I cannot imagine being as little as Levi and going down those hills for the very first time.

Kudos to Kyra (as KKK mentioned above) for telling Oscar that Levi was simply expressing his dislike w/what he'd just been through. Crying or fussing doesn't always equal 'tired' and needs to go to bed. Oscar needs to quit treating Levi like his best little buddy and realize he's just a baby and needs time to adjust to new experiences.

The sad thing is though is that Kyra doesn't really have any true friends. Keren used to her to get subscribers and more viewers which is so obvious. Also she's left all her friends in LA and she had no one in Billings. So since she moved to Billings which was nearly a year and a half ago she became depressed. I get depressed being away from friends for even a week. So it doesn't surprise me if she just wants a friend. I feel like that's why she reaches out to Ellie and Jared on social media hoping that Oscar and Jared could be friends and she could be friends with Ellie so she has someone there for her.

They should move back to California even if it isn't to LA but to a town out of LA

I love how when they got home from sledding Levi was opening up the food and feeding himself because he's starving and he's parents don't feed him how sad . Oh and they didn't wash the fruit .. they were just laughing at him .. ummmm wash the fruit before he eats it

Oscar sleds down the big hill with the huge expensive camera instead of the go pro. It gets wet and covered in ice. Amazing it didn't break. He is so irresponsible with such an expensive camera.

I think it's bullshit that they spend soooo much time editing. Their videos are seriously boring and short, it can't take that long. I've edited videos before, long videos. It doesn't take so long or for them to be so off schedule. I think they edit a minute or two then shoot the shit for hours and that's why it takes so long.

Amanda-L wrote:Just caught up with the rest of the vlog because I skipped it earlier to see Levi's "first steps"

Oscar doesn't act like a father. He's like an older brother to Levi or a "fun" uncle. He doesn't take his sons safety into consideration at all. If my daughters father was around and I saw him acting like that there's no way I'd stand there and laugh about it. He'd get an earful for being reckless. Then again, I wouldn't let anyone take my kid on a sled if they were holding them in one arm while clinging to a camera with the other hand. Especially someone like Oscar who doesn't drop the camera when something bad does happen. When he's crying he thinks it's because Levi fell. No shit, Sherlock. Levi was miserable from the get go, regardless of Kyra telling him he had fun, you could see on his face he wasn't happy at all and Oscar dropping him and letting him fall like the negligent, overgrown child that he is didn't help matters. Them he says Levi might be sleepy. Bollocks! I'm sick of hearing them say he's tired as soon as he so much as whines. At least Kyra disagreed with him that time.

I can't even image the type of stuff Oscar will be forcing Levi to do once he is standing and walking around on his own.
right! neither of them are particularly maternal or paternal. Oscar 110% treats levi like his little brother. He is soo irresponsible and un-empathetic it's ridiculous. He honestly is so beyond immature, how can he watch the clips back and not see how much levi hates the sledding? He looks terrified but oscar doesnt care bc it makes great footage for the vlogs/getting view and the bug buddies think it's SOO cute and goalz. Also i cant believe he kept falling on top of levi and just laughing...that isnt funny! Poor levi faceplanted in the snow and dirt/grass everytime with oscar's full weight on top of him. He could get seriously injured or not be able to breathe! But ofc oscar doesnt care. -_-

i wish oscar respected the signs levi gives him when he is scared and doesnt want/like something instead of pushing him to do it anyway. that poor kid looks so anxious all the time :/

Oscar has zero social skills and is unable to read any social cues. He doesn't get it when he's inconveniencing everybody, can't read Kyra and literally doesn't have a clue how to read Levi. Slightest whine - oh he must be sleepy! Kyra is hinting to get the F on the road and stop screwing around with the drone - oh she's so negative.. just kidding (NOT). Not supposed to film here.... films anyway. He's incredibly narcissistic! It's all about him. Not what it's in the best interest of anyone around him. As their popularity has grown, his ego is only getting bigger and bigger.

O and K YouTube career won't last long.. The bug buddies will grow older and will get bored of them and will realise how silly their parenting is, how obnoxious and annoying it is to have late Vlogs when in reality it should only take an hour or two to edit

I was so so so so freaking surprised when Kyra said that. And kkkk, you are 100% correct on Oscar's lack of social skills or recognizing cues.

Is it just me or does Oscar get MORE immature? I think he's going backwards.

YouTube 'fame' and the fast money seems to have a Benjamin Button effect on certain male vloggers I've noticed.

I love that kyra is apparently so into planning yet they can't even plan to upload a vlog before their 12 year old fans have to go to bed. But heaven forbid you bring that up to her on Twitter, cuz she's said "we don't have an uploading schedule" *THE BIGGEST OF EYEROLLS"
