I'm from the UK but I guess I'm probably basing this off of a "unique" (idek what other word to use to describe it), Job sector? My partners dad works for the NHS and gets 12 and a half weeks off per year so I suppose that many holidays are specific to that sector (he's also not worked there for an excessive amount of years so I can't imagine he's built many weeks up from loyalty). Totally didn't even think about that when I posted, it's early here my brain hasn't woken up yet

I live in the U.K. and work for the NHS (it's my first year working for them) and I get 27 days plus 8 bank holidays off each year. But I am aware this is super rare and many of my friends get around 12 days off a year

I'm not sure of the workings of it, but I know that my partners dad is able to go on holiday (like, actually leave the country) for a whole week a year because of the way his holidays work out. But then again he's also paid far too much for what he does so who knows. He's not a doctor or anything though and he doesn't have any formal education beyond high school, he just disinfects stuff.

Tommy and big Caden are arriving next week so Jess think she will struggle with the kitchen situation (nowhere to prepare meals etc)
Jess says SHE will struggle to prepare meals? :D Sure Jess, I'm certain cutting up strawberries and adding some whipped cream on the side is impossible on a table...

Do we even know what job Chris had last I know he was at Amazon for a while then left my partner Works a second job part-time with UPS and this year is his tenth year and he just earned his fourth week of paid vacation a year. As for our full-time jobs we both only get 2 weeks paid a year. If he did quit his job to live off of her YouTube check and let his job history have a gap he's incredibly stupid because one of them needs consistency if/when YouTube stops paying the big bucks

Same goes for famous people. Just because they are in movies or do concerts or whatever doesn't open up their privacy.

THIS THIS THIS!!!!
For some reason people never understand this, weather it comes to youtubers, musicians or actors!!
I agree with this too. The only annoying thing is when youtubers themselves mention they are going through something private that they can't talk about but still for some freaken reason have the need to mention that they are going through something. Why not just not mention it at all?
"Oh something happened last night but I can't say even though I'm already saying something happened last night but you know it's private I just want you guys to know something happened last night I just don't want you to know exactly what it was just that it happened so please don't ask because it was scary and it happened last night buts it's private so don't ask. We have the right to privacy but just wanted everyone to know something indeed happened last night. Thanks for the support guys and Ima ignore the haters who don't think we deserve to keep this private even though I'm mentioning it"
Hahaha! This is so true and annoying af! Like ok share don't share but what's the point in saying something is happening/going on but you're not going to talk about it? Mmmmkay just don't say anything.

If he's been at his job for at least a year he could be taking paid family leave... my boyfriend did it when our son was 8 months old. You just have to take it before the child turns one of you want to use it.

Hey as the usual recapper I appreciate it! Lol. I should be back at it by Monday though, things have just been so busy here. My husband's aunt died and we have spent time after her service reuniting with his dad's family who he hasn't seen in years, so it's been nice :) thanks for taking one for the team Image

I don't understand how YouTubers who don't make a LOT of money (Jess, IIRC, makes under $100K a year) can afford health insurance without a job. I know we've talked about the kids being covered by MediCal (not too familiar with that), but what about Jess and Chris? They'd have to pay for insurance for themselves, wouldn't they?

Not necessarily if Medicaid in California's like Medicaid in New York there's criteria and considering there a seven-person family only including the kids a full custody of they would need a very high income to not be considered low-income if that makes sense and they would still be covered

When Kaden is writing his letters starting from the bottom, that is how my son writes still to this day. Just so many little personality things that line up with ADHD traits.

It's up to Jess if she wants to share that or not, but I would hope she would. She has a huge platform to spread awareness about ADHD. It's so misunderstood, and it's not just a hyper kid, at all. It's so much more.

I'm just going to throw it out there that ADHD is over diagnosed/misdiagnosed when it could be another issue. With Kaden I see more behavioral problems than anything, but we know Jesss won't do anything because she never disciplines her kids. I'd love to see an updated video on how she disciplines.... But there won't be one because her kids have no discipline they are like animals.

(Elementary Education major here and I had to do multiple essays on ADHD... Didn't realize how many kids were diagnosed with it falsely until then)

Plenty of jobs here don't even have vacation.
But I work at a small business and all employees have a week and our few salary managers have 4-6 weeks. I don't think many jobs have 9/10 weeks. . .
The US job market sucks sometimes.

I worked at a big toy store and unless you had been there 2+ years you got 0 days off, even if you were sick. (in the US.... For Mattel)

My guess is that Chris is either taking his PFL (like someone mentioned, you're entitled to up to 6 weeks paid in California following the birth of a child, up until that child's first birthday). He also could have taken FMLA given addie's medical issues. I'm sure he would qualify. It's unpaid, but it's protected leave to care for a sick family member.

Regarding the autism debate. Kaden may or may not have ASD. If he does, it's quite mild. Much more likely speech delay and poor parenting. He is a child who probably needs more structure, which we all know jess won't provide.

However. The diagnostic process takes so long. Especially in California, and especially if you don't have good insurance (Kaiser for example can often do assessments quicker). Waiting lists of several months, minimum, just to get evaluated are common. From there, if you get a diagnosis, with the insurance jess likely carries, she then would be referred to a regional center who will facilitate getting Kaden services - speech, OT, PT, behavior therapy, whatever else he may need or qualify for. From there, the waiting game continues. Waiting lists for these types of services are months or even years long.

I am a director for an autism agency in Northern California and am sad that this is the way things are, but the reality is that there just are too many kids in need of help and not enough qualified professionals. The system is in a total log jam. (Side note, if anyone is interested in working with kids with special needs, we need you! Message me!)

I've always wanted to work with kids who have special needs but it's literally IMPOSSIBLE to find a job in New York where you can just volunteer.
