Love Meg - NOT her sister! Part 2
Re: Love Meg - NOT her sister! Part 2
We replaced our tree about five years ago, because we’d had ours for over twenty years, but I’ve had my ornaments since we got married. Then, each year we’d add one or two. Then baby ornaments as the kids were born, their homemade ornaments, their yearly ornaments, gifts from special people. That is what a Christmas tree is all about. You point to objects and each one is attached to a memory, not hobby lobby.

It’s weird to me when people have a different decoration them every year. Christmas is already expensive. Why make it even more expensive? My parents have been putting up the same Christmas decorations for 30 years, tree included. Some of their decorations are older than that. My mom still hangs ornaments that I made when I was 3 or 4 years old. It was always fun to go through the decorations as she was putting them up and ask about the sentimental ones.

this!!!!!!! my mom always enjoys talking about the memories we had when i brought something home from school ornament wise and then we laugh about the time i ate the popcorn on the garland that we made when i was a child........then there are people like meg who do it for the gram and not the memoriesRaginaPhalanges wrote:It’s weird to me when people have a different decoration them every year. Yes!! I’m glad everyone fees the same way I do! I loved going to my in-laws for the first time at Christmas and seeing an ornament with my hubbys 2nd grade photo in it! That is what Christmas is about. Not spending all this money and turning your home into an art piece.
Re: Love Meg - NOT her sister! Part 2
Meg is about looking rich and acting like shes a movie star and living on a movie set. not for her kids or the memories....
They have had to kneel on bar stools to eat every meal
They don't have a swing set
They have to check out their toys from her because she doesn't want a mess
The list goes on and on.... so having ornaments made by her kids would be to messy and she could care less. Just so her home looks like a show place for the gram

Re: Love Meg - NOT her sister! Part 2
Well, it doesn’t look like that, either. It’s a tacky jumble of hastily thrown together Walmart and Hobby Lobby junk. No time or thought was put into anything. Just instahouse.
Re: Love Meg - NOT her sister! Part 2
She literally will be sponsored by ANYBODY. She’s so pathetic.

Decororchid528 wrote:Shouldn’t have posted until I watched the whole video! LOL. But Meg has decided to do a “no spend” for Christmas aside from ribbon and the $400 Christmas tree. So then she goes inside and finds this tree stand thing oh well. But she is doing a “glam” theme this year so I guess she has all those decorations already. My question is, how do all these youtubers have all this money to change their “theme” every year?! I have staple items that go out every holiday and I’ll add and subtract a few things every year as well. But where the heck do they put all this stuff?! I couldn’t imagine changing up ALL of my decor every holiday. Not to mention the lack of memories associated with that. I have items around my house that I or my husband remember from growing up, especially ornaments. It seems some people have become too consumed with the “Instagram worthy Christmas”.
I was thinking this too. I understand when someone moves into a new house and they either have more space or their previous decor items don't really have a place in the new house. But, what about those staple items? I always have Disney items that are staples in our house. None are from pre kids because I didn't really decorate for any holidays pre kids. But, my oldest is now 13 and we've had certain items since her first holidays. And when we moved into our (I hate this term, but for lack of a better one) "forever home" I started buying a couple items here and there. This Fall was the biggest spend I've ever done because I just fell in love with all the Hocus Pocus anniversary stuff. So I had to change my budget (and forgo my haircut for another month, LOL) in order to buy the witchy things that I could've, but didn't want to, live without. LOL.
I will also add, that I've known some very wealthy people that will change up their theme every year and I don't really know if they have their few staples, but they donate last year's items to this place here called Hibiscus House (its for battered women and children who have no homes or money from leaving the bad situations they were in) so that those women and children will have holiday decor and stuff. But I can't imagine all these youtubers doing that....maybe I'm wrong.

That second sentence translates to: “Agree or Disagree but if you don’t kiss my ass I’ll delete and block you.”

She is so delusional. SO SO SO delusional. She wants to “keep the comments positive” and “if you post hate you will be blocked”. Meg, every comment that doesn’t say “omg I love you so much” you consider hate. You don’t take even the slightest criticism because God forbid you have a bruise to your enormous ego. If you look at her comments on Instagram or YouTube, there’s hardly any. Turns out not everyone is kissing your ass Meg. The way to stay relevant on YouTube and in the world of social media is to LISTEN to your subscribers and change for the better. Now if people are truly being hateful and hurtful, obviously those can get deleted. But why are you blocking people who are very kindly saying that you have changed and it seems to be the money. Take that opportunity to address it like a damn adult. You deleting comments and ignoring “hate” is actually you acting like a damn child. Today’s video is sponsored AGAIN by HelloFresh with multiple ads. You can’t do this on YouTube, we’ve said this multiple times in this forum but reporting on YouTube never does anything. If anyone can’t tell I am SO over this girl and her fake rich life.

Double post but someone commented on her Instagram “I’ve never had venison what does it taste like?” Megs response: it tastes like beef.
Wow super informative.

Is it just me or did she gain a lot of weight ? In her "real" nighttime routine, her thumbnail makes her look overweight

It does not taste like beef. It has a more game-y taste. I don't care for it personally.. (as I sit here staring at all my husband's supplies for his deer hunt next month ).Decororchid528 wrote:Double post but someone commented on her Instagram “I’ve never had venison what does it taste like?” Megs response: it tastes like beef.

I’m the odd one out here because I love venison. We just cooked it up roast style the other night and it was perfect.

According to insta stories her Christmas tree is up. Too early for me but that is personal preference I know. It’s a beautiful tree but again where is the sentimentality?!
Re: Love Meg - NOT her sister! Part 2
Double post but this Halloween vlog is crazy. I don’t know a single kid who can say they went trick or treating in a golf cart. And they are CLEARLY the poor kids in the neighborhood because some of the scenes these homes had up?! Holy shit. $1000 at least halloween right three!!
Re: Love Meg - NOT her sister! Part 2
I'm surprised in todays vlog she says now how much they just love their neighborhood. Now they are not moving and that HOA fees are so expensive everywhere else. With all the money Meg claims to make im surprised they aren't building their Dream Home.
We always decorate for Christmas right after thanksgiving. I didn't realize people put their Christmas décor up the day after Halloween

Re: Love Meg - NOT her sister! Part 2
They’re not moving now? Are they buying the house they’re in?
I just finished putting up my upstairs tree. I haven’t decorated it yet. To each their own, for sure, but I like decorating early. I have tons of stuff so it takes a few days to get everything up. I want to enjoy it as long as possible and I don’t want to put everything up just to have to turn around and take it all down a few weeks later. It doesn’t affect anyone’s personal lives, so I figure live and let live.
