In the newest vlog, if Jessica was so concerned about the extra caps that Landen was getting on his teeth that she thought were unnecessary, and if the dentists weren't doing what she thought they should do, why didn't she bring her concerns to them? And then she cries because she's so behind in work... give me a break. Jessica has an opportunity to get a lot done with 4/5 of her children in school and a husband that does nothing most of the time.

I’m so confused why she didn’t take him to get a second opinion. Personal: when I was younger I had a cavity in a baby tooth. My dentist tried to fill it, I was screaming and crying so they stopped. My dad then took me to his dentist for a second opinion. His dentist said it was because my body was preparing for the tooth to fall out so had cut the blood supply off and it would fall out soon anyway so didn’t bother doing anything. Low and behold a few weeks later it fell out. Never had any issues since.
If you don’t trust the dentist/doctor/health care professional. You are well within your rights of seeking a second opinion. Especially as she seemed to have such conflicting information from two people at the same office

Sorry for the double post. I hate that she left that clip of her ‘crying’ about work. She was just looking for sympathy and ass pats from her viewers. Her idea of ‘so much work’ is editing a video. If she had been in any way prepared she could have pre recorded something.
She knew landen was scheduled for surgery that day, admittedly she didn’t expect it to take up the whole day. I would want to ensure I was free and available to give my little guy extra attention, cuddles, watch movies etc etc following the surgery so ensure I had done the work prior to him going in. She’s lazy and disorganised

That kids poor mouth, several root canals on a 4 year old?! What the hell!!! I guess that is just shocking to me. Root canals are for adults that have years of wear on their teeth. Not small children, who clearly aren’t taught proper mouth hygiene !! She made this bed and now she has to lie in it

I didn't think the did a root canal on the capped teeth for kids. What I had and my kids got were plastic sealants on all the molars to help prevent decay. I wonder if they had those before the caps.

Oh but Kaden’s teeth are perfect, so it’s not their diets! It’s all 100% genetics. The crap ton of sugar she feeds them has nothing to do with it at all! *eyeroll*

So that’s 3 kids out of 4 (that has a mouth full of teeth) that have all had multiple metal crowns. She mentioned that Lilia had THIRTEEN cavity’s... and she was a toddler! Thirteen is fucking insane for a child that young. That’s not genetics. That’s poor nutrition.

Does Jess not realise that this is the product of her parenting? Cut the nesquick, cut the sugary pancakes/waffles/cereals for breakfast every day and feed your kids real food! And she was iffy about paying for the 3 extra caps. Lordy. If she fed them right, she shouldn’t have to cap any of their teeth.

jess drove an hour to get landen to his 8am appointment at a dental surgery center
they said he needed 4 caps, one on the affected tooth, one on the tooth next to it and the same thing on the other side, because "it will most likely end up having a cavity later"
surgery is postponed for hours and hours because she didnt bring his medical records about his last surgery on his spine, and they need to access it, which is a long process
landen is fasting this whole time, but is doing okay
she has a bad gut feeling about the place, but stays because landen is in pain
story time: lilias dentist said she had no cavities, then when she switched after a "bad gut feeling" and a problem with a staff member at the office, the new dentist had to fill 13 cavities
she says landens cavities are due to genetics because of drake, well jess has bad teeth too but its mostly drake ofc
landen can finally be put under, the doctor actually performing the surgery says theres absolutely no way hes getting 4 caps, capping the tooth next to a bad tooth is "not even allowed"
jess cries in the waiting room because shes behind on editing
landen wakes up fine, she takes him home, the next clip is of them in the same clothes going into a store to pick out a toy for landen, but apparently he was taken home and took a nap before that
when they get home the kids act like they just got home for the first time that day, idk
the elves are back at it, playing with ketchup and hot dog buns
living room is a dump
the end.

For the love of god mess ADVOCATE FOR YOUR CHILDREN!
What good does it do to wait til the doctor walks out of the room to bitch at the camera about how you’re so confused and it doesn’t make sense? Ask questions! If you think this dentist is sketchy, why the hell would you let them put your son under sedation when you didn’t agree with what they were doing? Shit for brains I tell you. How hard is it to ask for an explanation on the caps or rather say “I’m sorry, I’m not comfortable with this, I will take him to my dentist for a second opinion” instead of just going through with it out of convenience.

And lol at the fact that she cried tears over vlogmas videos she needed to work on. That was more believable than the fake tears she cried at Disney about missing her kids

she said she only went through with the surgery there because he was in pain...how long did landen have to be in pain for again for her to take him to a doctor? fucking ridiculous. she wanted to get it over with so she wouldnt have to sacrifice another precious day that could be spent in her bed editing.

She knew Landen was being put under prior to this day, so why didn't she take her laptop and do work while he was under instead of snarking at the camera for the time? She has plenty of opportunities to work but she would rather nap.

Also, interesting that this has been going on for six plus months and this is the first we've heard of it. I bet she would never have mentioned that Landen, whose teeth were apparently perfect before, needed treatment for cavities if she didn't need the click bait.

I only made it less than a minute in the video and she was so rude (annoyed) with the person asking questions. Yeah its a lot to answer but they have to ask those medical questions for a reason. And she's like "nope, yep, yeah, no". I'm not surprised she did the poor me because I don't think she's ever been to a Dr appt where she's been happy leaving. Be a parent Jess. Its not all unicorns and rainbows. Its not just about giving birth.

She's not confused. She thinks it's cute to be confused and cute to whine about not being able to work [looks better than whining about being bored] it also helps if people judge her later she can act like she just did what the doctor said because she didn't know any better. She probably is only showing us because she needs vlog content and people will notice his teeth.

What is sad for me is her younger followers see it and think that not advocating for your child is ok. I mean Jess asked instagram what to do instead of doing her own research. She didn't leave for a second opinion because he was in pain. But yet how long was he in pain beforehand?

I don't believe that cavaties are genetic, maybe they are. But I'll give her the benefit and say they are. If you know that then why wouldn't you be even more strict about what your kids ate (and drank)?

Why doesn't she brush her kids teeth better if she thinks they are predisposed to having cavities? Don't just say WELL I HAD BAD TEETH SO YOU WILL TOO!!!!! Actually monitor their brushing....

While I totally believe parents should "do their own research" Jess also says that when she found that blog that convinced her to delay vaccinate her kids so not all research is created equal. Getting a second opinion from another dentist, finding a pediatric specialist etc to get an educated opinion for all we know Jess would have found a blog on how to cure cavities naturally with using coconut oil like mouthwash.

Why doesn’t she say he was never admitted to hospital after he was born?

Also no one asked about the MRI. That falls under medical history. I don’t think Messss acts dumb. She is dumb.

Then she passes the buck. Who waits 6 months when the kid already has a cavity? Take them back in 2 weeks and try again. Don’t leave it until they need baby root canals.

It kind of sucks though that she’s having bad vibes about the only kids surgical dentist in the whole of California. It must rough that there aren’t any other paediatric dentists around at all*

*sarcasm.

Did Kyson or Lilia exclaim happily that they got to school on time? That’s freaking sad.

The only thing that saved that video was Landen being so cute when she kept grabbing his sore hand.

I have never on my life heard of 4 baby root canals on a 4 year old and a child with 13 cavities!!! That is unbelievable!!!! If she knows her kids are predisposed to bad teeth.....why wouldnt she just get her dentist to put sealant on their teeth and make them brush twice a day every day and after meals....I mean, its a lot to do but I would rather do that than have kids with mouths full of silver.
