Not to repeat everyone else but gaudy is the perfect word for describing that ring. In my opinion a wedding ring should be timeless and classy and this is neither. And I think the wedding ring I got married with would hold way too much sentimental value for me to just replace it like that. Anything to spend money pointlessly, I guess.

Wasn’t getting married/having a ring like the most important thing to her before Frank? Why would you then take that ring and just swap it out, especially for something ugly? There’s only a few instances where I would want to get a new ring. One is weight loss or gain to a point where the original ring can no longer be resized. The other comes with a personal story alert** For my sister’s 15th wedding anniversary, her husband got her a new band with 15 diamonds (3 rows of 5.) Then for their 20th she got a right hand ring with 5 more diamonds. She wears those two rings now instead of the original wedding ring (which was probably pretty small and cheap since they were 22 and 8 months pregnant when they got married.) The new ones are clearly sentimental too, and I’m sure she has her original wedding set safe in a jewelry box.**

But why replace your ring within a year or two of getting shotgun married? Also, I feel naked without my ring on after wearing one everyday for 12 years. Does it just not bother her since she’s only had one for such a short time? Can’t remember if she wore an engagement/promise ring with Ean.

Yeah I remember she used to wear Ean's promise ring and then I think in the last year or so of their relationship he proposed and got her an engagement ring.
Honestly since Brit and Frenk had a shotgun wedding the ring he got her meant shit, it wasn't a simbol of love so "upgrading" to this one wasn't a problem. Personally I am a fan of a simple rose gold and teardrop shape, but that thing is blegh...just too much but I mean if she's happy good for her she finally got her aesthetic youtube/instagram bling.

Nothing says I love you to your husband like getting a new wedding ring (especially after you've only had it less than 2 years). I feel like that's so rude to husbands who spent time picking out a ring they wanted you to wear forever.

Personal story (sorry): My engagement and wedding ring didn't cost very much. Both together were probably under $1500. I know that may seem like a lot for some people, so I don't want to be like "My ring was cheap," because it was actually my dream ring and I loved it. But I know lots of people have much more expensive rings. I have considered replacing it over the years, partially because I feel guilty for getting diamonds in my ring because of the ethics, and if I could have done it over I wouldn't have chosen ones with diamonds. But that doesn't really matter anymore because the damage is already done. Anyway, the point of the story is, every time I've considered replacing my rings, I have decided not to because sentimentally they mean so much to me. Why would I replace something that is so hugely symbolic and that has been with me since I was engaged with something new that has very little significance?

This isn't a slight against anyone who does decide to replace their rings, but I'm also of the sentiment that replacing a ring - especially so soon - is kind of disregarding how special your original ring was. And I completely understand if people want to replace rings for other personal reasons, like putting their mother's or grandmother's stone in their new ring or something. But Britney is probably just doing it to be flashy and trendy and "because she can."

Ean proposed the Christmas after Nolan was born so she had that ring for a solid 3 years before they broke up. She probably whined to him about wanting a better one too.

I almost forgot that she didn’t get her ring from Frank it until after they were married lol so is it really an engagement ring at that point?

Wouldn't it be smarter to give Aria a necklace with the ring from Ean? If she even kept it that is...Cause I'm sure Aria would love to wear a necklace with a diamond from her stepdad over her own father.

Ugh, I remember that proposal. I think she kept unwrapping different size boxes until she got to the ring and then she was soo unimpressed. Her face said everything. She is an ungrateful bitch. Maybe she should've said no and broke up with him then...Oh that's right, she was counting on him supporting her at that time.

I have no emotional attachment to the idea of a ring. I don't think Brit does either she wants what she believes to be a status symbol. Even if she picked it out, bought it herself and gave it to Frenk to give to her.

Agreed. So inappropriate to give that diamond to Aria. It should be the one from her and Ean. Even if they are not together- it symbolizes their time together which gave them Aria.

agreed. aria also was not impressed at all when britch told her. why would she care? that just goes to show how much she tries to push frank on aria. that’s disgusting to try to make your kid wear something that belongs to her stepdad rather than her real dad. i don’t know why she wouldn’t just give it to scarlett instead since she’s the reason they needed the ring in the first place
