Bless you for doing being a NICU nurse. My nephew was a NICU baby for 17 days (he’s a perfectly healthy crazy 7 year old now). He was a tiny baby, but absolutely massive in comparison to the other babies. I don’t know how you guys have the strength to do your job but I’m so thankful you do.
Nicu nurses are amazing and very special people. 12 years ago I had twins at 27 weeks, they were in the nicu for 3 & 4 months. Their primary nurses have a very special place in my heart, as they took care of them like their own. I love them both dearly.
Jess always seems to make everything bigger than it is. Yes almost losing a child is painful but when it is because of your lack of common sense it's different than watching your child fight just to live from birth, or because of some illness that no one can control those are traumatic and no parent should have to go through that.

She was diagnosed with central sleep apnea. That's an immaturity in her brain. How she sleeps and whether she has a blanket or not isn't going to affect that.
She might've been diagnosed with central sleep apnea, but jess did nothing to help make her sleep safer. We constantly saw addie covered in blankets, sleeping on her stomach on jesss and chrisss' giant bed, even after the incident they didnt try to keep her safe. Most babies have central sleep apnea, which is part of why they're at risk for SIDS and need to be kept in a safe sleeping environment. "Central sleep apnea" was the doctors nice way of telling jess she failed to keep addie safe IMO

After knowing she had apnea and not keeping her on the monitor and in a safe place, drinking and breastfeeding and giggling about how it makes the baby tired, co-sleeping after drinking...they didn't keep her safe when they knew better. Addie is alive today because of dumb luck her parents did little to keep her safe and often worked against her.

I totally understand where you're coming from. Some parents are extra careful and caring, do everything right yet they get handed cancer or a rare condition while other parents are just plain lazy.
However the pain of losing a child is probably the same... I'm torn on this. Look what happened to Brittani Leach's son... they were making him nap on adult beds with blankets and he died. We don't know for sure but it's probably due to unsafe sleeping practices. At the end of the day it's the same: a baby lost his life and I'm sure his family will never be the same.
Natalie posted a picture that i guess arabellas step mom sent her. its so good to see that they get along what seems to be very well. Mess needs to get it together and stop having issues with anyone her ex dates.....

FAMILY UPDATE- The family is slowly healing, they are helping move them into their new house today so they can get the aunt and uncle out of the hotel they are in and hoping their hospital beds will actually be delivered to the house this time like they were supposed to be. It's all been a mess. Funeral for the Grandma will be in March so all the family out of state can plan a flight here and so the Aunt and Uncle can heal a bit more.

Why is the funeral in march? isn't that in a very long time? I know funerals are culturals and varies from country from country but how are they going to keep the body intact until then?
A lot of the family lives outside of California and the two injured are still recovering. So they made it for March so all the family can attend.

Even Jess admited it, if Addie had not made it through, it would have been considered SIDS because you cannot do a sleep study on a deceased baby...
I am pretty sure all babies have it to some extend and that having a safe sleeping environnement decrease the risk of death.

Sleep apnea is super common in babies. So they forget to breathe and their heart rate and oxygen levels fall. Most babies will self resolve. When they tested addie is what she was doing. Having blankets around makes it harder as it can suffocate her as well creating more dangers.

Having a couple drinks and breastfeeding is perfectly fine. If you can find your baby, you can feed your baby. Very little alcohol goes into your milk.

Being in a crib isn't magically going to make a baby's brain remember to breathe. if your baby does have central sleep apnea, it isn't going to matter what you do. The only way to catch an episode is to use the monitor. They don't call it crib death for no reason...
No, being in a crib wont keep them safe, but it helps decrease the chances. A more firm mattress so their necks arent bent and airways arent obstructed, no big blankets and pillows around them. Theres no way to 100% avoid it, and maybe it would've happened to addie even if she had always been in an empty crib following perfect safe sleep habits. But jess could have done a lot more to decrease the chances of it happening.
are you guys serious? are you forgetting that literally 1 hour BEFORE she found Aladdin not breathing she posted a pic of her sleeping in her gross bed on thick flannel blankets??? not to mention days earlier in a video she verbatim said "when you have so many kids, it's hard to break them"

Theres this guy on Youtube Iamjaystation that makes content for kids where exploits the deaths of starts and other YouTubers. jay does wugi board challenges, pretending to talk to those dead one, recently he pretended his girlfriend ws dead and tried to talk to her via the ouja borad thing. I found from him through som random youtube relating to fake youtube stories. People got made and started a petion to ban him bc he kept exploiting small kids.
It hasn’t been called crib death for many years. It’s SIDS. Being in a cot or crib is not what causes it. So it technically is called crib death for no reason. What a moronic thing to say.
Edited to add - back when they didn’t understand SIDS and babies didn’t co-sleep near as much as they do now it was called CD. Simply because the baby was found in their crib/cot/bassinet. The fact the crib itself (not counting bedding or mattress or toys - I could go on) was not the cause is why they changed it to SIDS.
