Re: This Is How We Buy Stuff, Baby | This Is How We Bingham | Part 5
I don't have to watch today's video to loathe it. They might as well title it "Celebration of Gluttony and Greed!"
Those are 2 of the 7 Deadly Sins. They've become walking talking examples of those: greed, pride, envy (or at least trying to inspire envy)lust (doesn't have to be sexual, but they do invite pedophiles to photoshop their thumbnails with the kids all doing that stupid open-mouthed "I am so surprised/excited I want to catch insects" look)
Maybe not wrath, but they inspire it in me. People are dying from a virus. Hospitals are running short on beds. The moratorium on evictions is about to expire, and extended unemployment ends tomorrow. But let's post "Insane Gift Haul!" So bloody tone deaf. But nobody will say anything in the comments because their rabid fans (who donate more for a shout out than they do when the super chats are going to charity) will defend them to the bitter end. What about last year when they went to the expensive restaurant to talk about "the reason for the season"? Throw a few grand at a charity or two, and it's ok to spoil your kids and give them so much crap that they get overwhelmed opening it, and most of it never gets played with.
Sorry for the rant. They just make me so angry. They make a ton of money and contribute f*ck all to society at large. Meanwhile respiratory therapists, doctors, nurses, grocery store clerks, and restaurant workers are risking their lives. A doctor friend is in ICU fighting for his life right now. He could have retired when the virus hit, but he stayed on, to help people.
There is something really, really wrong that these people are admired.

Seeing how many gifts Mindy's parents continually give-for every single holiday really-I can see how Mindy got the way she is. They probably spoiled her to no end. They seem like really nice people, but it looks like they created that monster. It's nice that they include Maddie as part of the family though.

Does anyone find it odd that Madi has never actually spent Christmas with them?

Is Mindy the only daughter in her family? And yes, it is nice that her parents treat Madi as one of their own. My ex-husband's current in-laws do that for my kids, and it means so much, especially since their stepmom doesn't treat them as her own. Her parents are so good to my kids, and since my parents are gone and my ex-husband's parents live far away, I appreciate it so much.itsame wrote:Seeing how many gifts Mindy's parents continually give-for every single holiday really-I can see how Mindy got the way she is. Re: This Is How We Buy Stuff, Baby | This Is How We Bingham | Part 5
Double post, sorry-- all these YouTubers put out their Christmas vlogs today. That means that after the celebration of gluttony and opening more presents than any family can possibly need, they all rushed to edit them to get them on YT first, so they can get more views and make more money to buy more crap.
And most of them make their faith and their families a big part of their brand. So on one of the two most important days of the church calendar, they spent it trying to beat the other YouTube families to getting their Christmas videos published. And instead of spending every moment they can with their families, they spent the day editing the videos.
How is it that people don't see through them?

Well I guess the Binghams lucked out that they got a massive gift opening the day before Christmas that they could post today so they didn’t have to do that. And then tomorrow they’ll post the next glutton fest also known as Christmas Day.lmmomSD wrote:Double post, sorry-- all these YouTubers put out their Christmas vlogs today. As usual, I feel bad for Madi. She seemed to just be sitting around watching present opening in most of the Christmas Eve vlog as well as IG stories today. She was just watching as her siblings opened their stockings. Was she being polite and waiting for them to finish? Did she not get anything? She really gets hosed. She got a case of cup of noodles when others were getting expensive shoes or gifts.

Oh, she got matching pajamas with Mindy!
She looked so bored in yesterday's video. I wonder if she rethinking her choice of college.

Poor Madi. It's one thing being an occassional visitor with your dad and his family, but I can imagine that it's a totally other thing being forced to be part of the rad, epic, savage, hyped up life that they love to lead.
Re: This Is How We Buy Stuff, Baby | This Is How We Bingham | Part 5
Did anyone catch how Madi got a hair waver from Mindys mom? It’s the same one that Mindy said she would be getting Madi in the sibling gift exchange. Did she give it to her mom to then gift to Madi?

I was very confused by that! She's NEVER spent a Christmas with her dad until this year? How/why? I grew up with an older half-sibling (we're about the age difference of Krew and Madi), we lived in a different COUNTRY from her dad and she still spent every other Christmas with him and his family.plv23 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 25, 2020 2:34 pmVery well said.lmmomSD wrote: ↑Fri Dec 25, 2020 11:16 am I don't have to watch today's video to loathe it. I've always wondered if Brandon's past arrests made it so Madi's mom actually has full custody and she allows for visits. It doesn't seem like they ever have an actual cycle for her visits. The fact that she's never spent a Christmas Eve-Morning with them until now, when she's 18, makes me think that's very likely.
Small irk: On the instagram story when Hazy is playing switch it's because she 'wants to be like her brothers' god forbid princess Hazy actually enjoys playing video games!

My guess is that she wanted to spend Christmas with her mom so they planned her Christmas break trips out to Utah to visit every year so that she would travel the day after or soon afterwards. I can see why she would rather be with her mom. She looks like Cinderella watching her evil step sisters opening their gifts.lurkerthatposts wrote:I was very confused by that! I think she is the only girl. I've never heard her mention a sister, only her brother- but she doesn't talk about him often at all, which is odd. Maybe they can't stand each other, lol. And wow, that's really awesome about your ex-husband's in laws. There still are decent people out there!lmmomSD wrote: ↑Fri Dec 25, 2020 2:40 pmIs Mindy the only daughter in her family? Wow so princess/brat opened her switch in another room while nobody was looking suprise suprise the greediness with this family is gross never taught that little girl anything it will only get worse..she couldn’t even wait.i feel bad for her teachers too that have to deal with her..she’s probably so unruly at school..seriously though she needs to stop screaming at 5 it’s not a cute look..Brandon and mindy have some entitled kids on their hands and it’s their fault..and mindy we don’t care about your stupid insta stories ugh so annoying.

I probably never wanted full custody anyways. Was Madi born in Utah and mom moved her, or was she born in California, and Brandon moved away?JD386 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 26, 2020 5:54 amMy guess is that she wanted to spend Christmas with her mom so they planned her Christmas break trips out to Utah to visit every year so that she would travel the day after or soon afterwards. Yes she usually comes after, which makes sense, spending Christmas with her mom and grandparents, sometimes she would fly to Utah on the same flight as her grandparents too). Her mom was staying at her aunt's house so this year it worked out that she could open gifts with Brandon in the morning, and then she went back to her aunt's house to see her mom's family later in the day.
All the 'super fans' think Madi's other side of the family is invisible - so many comments when she went to school here how 'she won't have to fly in for winter break'... I'm sure Madi is excited to go to Mammoth with her mom and not make an epic video about it.

I really loved their vlog of the donation of $5000 of goods from Costco to the women's shelter, but the more that you see of the excess in their lives, the more that you realise what a small token that $5000 was for them. Apart from Madi, their kids are spoilt, over indulged brats - they aren't being shown how to live their lives being grateful for what they have, and also caring for other people at the same time - they are shown that living your life is about want and take, but if you throw in the occassional token "service" to other people that's all that you need to do not to feel guilty about your excess and to feel good about yourself.

They probably made more than $5000 on the views on that vlog anyway. That whole filming our donations is crappy and gross. People at the grocery store checkout obviously have the money to purchase whatever is at the register with them. i dont know about you, but i tend to be able to afford whatever is in my trolleyHyacinth wrote:I really loved their vlog of the donation of $5000 of goods from Costco to the women's shelter, but the more that you see of the excess in their lives, the more that you realise what a small token that $5000 was for them. Seriously. It bugs me when they find someone with an overflowing cart and pay for their groceries. Those people can clearly afford those groceries. Maybe go to a dollar store and find someone buying groceries there on a budget. Not someone buying a turkey and other things they can clearly afford. Sure they could use the money that they didn’t spend on groceries on other things. But maybe instead seek out someone who can’t afford more than the couple of dollars worth of groceries they’re purchasing and help them to buy more.Haulnarse wrote:They probably made more than $5000 on the views on that vlog anyway. Sounds the Binghams are going to the quads birthday party. Mindy said on IG stories they have a birthday to go to tomorrow afternoon. I was actually happy to hear/see that it seemed they weren’t associating with greedners anymore. Now I’m sad and discussed

I just watched the Christmas morning vlog, and Madi got a hat that said “do your best” does that mean Mindy is going to come out with mindy’s best merch.
