Lora idolizes her boys. Anything to make them more special is a win for Lora.

She needs a reality check.

What's with the hate boner for Lora?

She doesn't seem all that bad to me. I have been watching for awhile too.

Why would someone NOT idolize their kids?!

I guess it depends on your sense of humour.

I don't find it funny at all, I find it obnoxious and rude. But I accept that that is probably just my perception. I don't find rude humour funny at all.

I was just correcting whoever it was said that she doesn't say in public that her kids are better than everyone else's. She does, even if it is supposed to be a joke.

She is already getting asked if they will have a fourth, which I think is absurd! She seems to be quite overwhelmed with the idea of having 3 and if she didn't have help, she would be even more overwhelmed (as stated in her video). Three seems to be the best for them because Layton's job does not seem to be stable, but I can see her having baby fever and trying for a fourth once Everett is in preschool and she's bored at home again. I think the fact that hear doula and birth photographer didn't arrive in time irks her and she will still be searching for that "perfect" birth. I just hope she doesn't give her baby stuff away again, because it would be ridiculous for her to make another registry for a fourth child, whether it were a girl or not.

Just adding my two cents on the whole gender "debate"

As a mother of two boys, I can kind of understand why she maybe plays up wanting a boy.
We are trying for our third child and we just want healthy, but everyone else believes that we MUST want a daughter, and OMG OUR LIFE'S WILL END IF WE HAVE A THIRD BOY! *gasp*.
So I am guilty of over playing it, I always respond with things like,
"I wouldn't know what to do with a girl, I am a boy mum"
"We are hoping for a boy"
" I like being the only female!"

My answers have gotten stronger, and might seem "anti girl" as time has gone by, due to the comments from people implying, or out right saying, we NEED a girl, we will be disappointed with another boy etc etc.
And I have seen some of her fans say some of those comments, so maybe, like me, she feels like people are implying her boys aren't "enough" or she can't be happy with only having boys, so she over plays her want for only having boys.

If that makes any sense! I could be wrong, but I thought I'd throw another view in there.

I think you're totally right! But, I do remember her first pregnancy vlogs with this pregnancy and she seemed to like the idea of having a girl! I remember her doing a product review for a boutique or something and she said something like "This totally makes me want a girl!" I think she secretly wanted one, but didn't want to give the impression that she was disappointed, hence the reason why she acted overly excited at the ultrasound and with her outrageous comments regarding wanting all boys. Although she plays up the whole "my life is perfect" thing, I believe that even she doesn't think that it is because people tell her that it's not because she does not have a girl. I know this may sound mean, but I seriously hope that they are done having children because I would hate for her to have a girl and for her to have to see all of her mother's gender preference comments and statements on videos. I know that if I were the fourth Ellis baby, and a girl, I would feel totally out of place!

I think that makes a lot of sense and you could be very right. My sister in law gets the same thing, she has 2 girls and is pregnant again and people are always saying to her "oh I hope you get your boy" or "I hope it's a boy for you" and she's perfectly fine if she has 3 girls, she already has clothes and toys for girls and they can all be close sisters and she knows what to do with girls etc. she's having a boy but it's a secret lol. But there's nothing wrong with being ok with only having boys or only having girls

Yes I have a shunt :) The first one was placed when I was a year old and lasted me until I was 15. I then went on to have multiple shunt revisions because of complications but I am doing well now. I do have occasional headaches but I learn to live with it :)

I wonder what changed so much since this video? She was so steadfast about not having another baby, and conceived a year after this. This is why I don't believe that they are done with only 3 children...she tends to eat her words a lot and I think that when things are looking up for them financially, she plans more children. They were living in Texas during this time and the house that they were in wasn't the most favorable, especially compared to the one they are in now. Plus, she recently said that all of her children were planned, yet she called Tripp a surprise?

Hello from lurkingland ;)

It's an incredibly small world, because I too have hydrocephalus and am 24. I haven't had a shunt revision though, and have been doing really well - very few headaches/migraines (headache about once a month or every other month, migraine maybe twice a year), at least that aren't cured by a hot shower or a nap.

My only worry now is where I'm getting married in October and my fiancé wants kids pretty much immediately afterwards (long story short we've been living together for a year and a half almost so we're past the whole "time to ourselves" thing LOL). Through Google (which I know isn't super reliable for research :P), I've seen some moms with hydrocephalus deliver perfectly healthy kids, but it still worries me. We'll be seeing a specialist about the whole thing before we get married though.

And to stay on topic of Lora - I wonder if she did secretly want a girl, because the "oh my gosh" she let out when the US tech said it looked like another little boy sounded almost frustrated...or was that just me?

Granted I know now that Everett's here, she's happy regardless because he seems healthy and thriving, but I thought that long before I started lurking here xD
RIP Dad - 09/30/2017

I may be nitpicking, but I am a stickler for grammar and punctuation. I had to unlike her Facebook page because I am so irritated with her improper use of commas! She is the self-proclaimed grammar queen, but her latest status had me wanting to pull my hair out!

"Headed to the midwife, with the family! Check-up time for Momma and Everett. Then, possibly attempting going out to lunch, for the first time, with all three boys! Wish us luck."

I cannot take it anymore! Who on Earth uses that many commas in one sentence? She only needed one! It should read...

"Headed to the midwife with the family! Check-up time for Momma and Everett. Then, possibly attempting going out to lunch for the first time with all three boys! Wish us luck."

Ok, I'm done nitpicking!

If you read it in her voice, then all the commas make sense. Read it like a normal human and it's all kinds of fucked up!

When I was in a private FB group with a lot of YT mommas, there was a time when nearly all of them got preggo. She got reeeeeally clucky, and ever since then she planned for a 3rd. She knew she wanted another one (the third) for quite a while before she got pregnant.

That makes sense! I always thought that she tended to get pregnant because other girls around her were doing it. She was all about not getting pregnant again and as soon as she realized that she wasn't making as much on YouTube and other girls would be more popular due to their pregnancies, she announced that they were going to ttc. That alone keeps people interested and keeps money in your pockets. I don't see her page getting much bigger because if she is truly done with having kids, people are not interested in seeing them raise another boy. It's just like JPSUESS having her 5th boy and no one seeming to care. In two years when she is able to send Everett to preschool, she will say "We thought we were done!" just like she did this time and plan for a fourth. At least be honest about the fact that you probably want more kids. She said that she won't get her tubes tied because she is so young, but says no more children. If you are so sure, get Layton snipped! If the family business that Layton works for gets off the ground, she will conceive again. Once again, she will eat her words for the 200th time. Also, has anyone mentioned that Layton has been home for two weeks? She brags about how much of a help he is, but her mother in law is also there. So, she probably has tons of help, too. With Layton only working two days a week when she was pregnant, I would hope that he was doing just as much as he is now back then and I do not see the need to brag about what your husband should be doing if he is at home with you postpartum!

Has anyone seen her latest Instagram post about her nursing necklace? She tells people that it can be used for teething babies to chew, which is untrue and dangerous, and one of her subscribers tries to tell her otherwise. She responds with "I know. I have lots from when I nursed my other boys :o)" She only nursed Declan for 6 months and Tripp for two weeks. Why would she say that she nursed Tripp and used one with him when she didn't? I smell a Lying Lucy (pun intended). Why would you need a nursing or teething necklace if you stopped breastfeeding at two weeks? I'm confused.

And on Facebook she is complaining about getting unwanted advice. She says because she has three kids and knows what she is doing. I understand getting annoyed because people do that but it is far too arrogant to claim it's because she knows all that she needs to

Maybe she needs to take someones advice on breast feeding, since she couldn't make it past 6 months.
