He makes buying a house sound so complicated and stressful. I don't know how buying a house works at all and he's putting me off from ever wanting to buy one. Idk what escrow is but when he said they can lose their freaken money? Is that for reals? People can just lose their down payment they worked so hard for and saved if the seller just doesn't fucken pick you?

Obviously each country is different so I'll explain how it happens here in Australia.
If the owners accept your offer, you put a deposit down I forgot what it is but I think it's 0.25% of the house. Eg if the house is $500,000 the holding deposit is $1250 (damn I wish I could buy a house that cheap again).
Then the cooling off period begins which is usually 5-10 working days depending if it needs to be extended.
In that time you do your pest inspections and building inspections to check for structural damage, termites efc.
This is also the time the banks sort their finances. Now most people look at houses with a conditional home loan which lasts 3 months. More children you have the less borrowing power you have. Hence how you know where to look for in your price range. Now if you're not happy with the report or if the banks reject you, you can pull out in the cooling off period however the holding deposit isn't returned.
If all is ok then you need to have 10% (so total $50,000) paid at the end of the cooling off period then there is a total of 6 weeks from the initial holding deposit to "close" on the house, pay the rest and move in. This can be made quicker or or later and this is arranged through solicitors.
Sorry for the long spill but it's not as simple as a buying a car and paying and driving away so to speak. There is so much more to it.

They are waiting on paperwork to be done that is why they needed the extension. She also said the house is a 7 bedroom with 5 bath! My goodness!! Idk how she's going to keep that house clean lol.

omg, more than 2 bedrooms on Long Island is 500k+ EASILY. and forget about the city or further east on the island. a 7bd 5bth is 1.5mil+. if you get 3+ bathrooms in a house in brooklyn without paying over 700k you're a rarity, like a unicorn, or O&K uploading on time.

Kyra and Oscar are not in an interracial relationship, they are both white. Mexican/latino is not a race, it's a nationality/ethnicity.

Glad somebody somebody else brought this up, reminds me of how the bug buddies were trying to defend their Native American costume by saying that Oscar was Mexican therefore he was Native American. Guess they never heard of the Spanish colonisers lmao oscar's obviously white. It's just an intercultural relationship.

I mean, Corina is brown, so I'm guessing there IS some native there, Oscar just takes after his dad. His own sister is on the tanner side too

Lol! Yes I'm dying to see it! I've only found one house in salt lake area that is 7 bed, 5 bath but it has a pool and I know Kyra said there's no pool so it can't be that one.

ofc they havent. oscar doesnt care at all..he said he wont be teaching levi and alaya spanish bc he cant speak it that well himself...that's pretty sad considering he grew up in mexico for a while and in a spanish speaking household. i never understood why parents wouldnt WANT their kids to be bilingual. i am so happy my parents taught me 2 other languages. It has helped tremendously with my cognition and the way i learn/think.

That isn't even a good excuse. He could still teach them simple words like hello and bye and how to count in Spanish. No point in trying to understand these two. Half the stuff they do makes no sense.

I agree so much! I think it was yesterday's vlog where Kyra was telling Levi to say "si" and oscar kept ignoring her and telling Levi to say "Yaaasss".
It's pretty sad how he's not even making an effort, and the non mexican one is trying more than he is.

Why does Oscar have to teach his children about a culture that obviously is not a big part of his personal identity? That seems kind of tokenistic. He isn't "Oscar the Mexican" he is his own person with hos own family background, beliefs, interests and strengths.

If he regularly spoke fluent Spanish and felt extremely connected to his culture and left the kids out of it that would be wrong. He obviously identifies pretty strongly to the Western culture he was brought up in and that doesn't make him a bad person

Wow oscar left Levi in the bathtub by himself with at least five inches of water. I honestly don't know if I can watch these two idiots between risking your child drowning to the flashbacks of oscar hiking with Levi in a carrier in front of him when he was really little and not even wearing hiking boots, one slip and Levi would have been critically injured!

They might not need it right now, but when you buy a house you need to plan ahead for the future. They want more kids, so I don't see why they shouldn't buy a big house if they can afford it.
