I don't think they would go for the party without the kids. The only time they have ever left the kids home for a DBEJ trip was the adult pool party at Missy and Bryan's. I would surely think if they are going to the party they would have brought the kids. I'm thinking maybe the costa rica trip or maybe something for work? Actually....... in Cullen's IG story he shows a gate at the airport and it has Amsterdam on the flight info, not sure if that is their gate or not, but aren't all the international gates together, separate from the domestic flights? I'm thinking Costa Rica.
ETA: At the Atlanta airport (which is where they looked to be) all international flights are in a totally different building from domestic, so yeah i'm really thinking it's Costa rica! Good for them! It will be a fun trip!

Surely Kelly just put them on the bike for a picture and is not letting Bennett ride them around on that thing (which i wouldnt trust him with both the kids on there even if they did have helmets!!!). Bennett seems like such a sweet boy, Brooks really loves him and he's so sweet to that baby.
If it is Costa Rica, I guess that’s good they are getting away to focus on their relationship, but I don’t exactly think it’s wise to flake out on more vlogs (no vlog today) when they are already arguably living outside of their means.
C&K are far flakier than other YTers but somehow people are always willing to give them a pass. Is it because they are older? Or because they didn’t go from rags to riches like everyone else?
I enjoy travel as well so I’m not one to judge that, but you do need to plan your work and shit out. They just don’t seem to have any organization or set with ethic at all.
*yes I realize it’s a free trip, but there are often still costs in free. Especially if it means you aren’t working. Other YTers at least pre/film in preparation to be away.
Didn’t they say they would be taking the kids to Costa Rica when Brooks was a little older? If there’s no vlog today explaining the trip, then I don’t think it’s Costa Rica. Maybe I’m giving them too much credit, but I feel like if it was CR, they’d warn everyone that there wouldn’t be vlogs because I doubt they’d take the time to edit while they’re away on that kind of trip.

I agree. Whatever this trip is, it feels like it’s short and more spontaneous. There doesn’t seem to be the expected amount of pre-planning for a trip like CR.

Yikes, I think that if her parents were involved in their financial situation in any way, there's no way they would have encouraged them to get a purchase money mortgage and the higher interest rate associated with that. They would have loaned them the money or co-signed. I think they're on their own, and failing spectacularly because they feel the need to live up to a certain lifestyle. If you can't qualify for a traditional mortgage, maybe it's not such a good idea after all.

I think they would of qualified just fine for a traditional mortgage. Just not for the amount of that house. Basically they are renting this until the principle gets down far enough where they can go get a mortgage for it. They did not stay within their means. They could of bought a beautiful house in AL for half of what they bought. housing in Alabama is low.
The gate they were sitting at said Amsterdam, but I highly doubt that's where they are going. But that does mean they are at the ATL airport, so it could be something international. In fact, a lot of airports have specific international departure/arrival terminals. I'm thinking it's Costa Rica. Katie was dressed for a beach vacation in the airport. I wouldn't fly to Europe in flip-flops and gym shorts.
Although, I live in a warmer climate than they do and I never wear that stuff even around the house.
He most likely wants us to think they're going to Amsterdam but probably not. I think wherever they're going, it's a sponsorship deal. Usually with a vacation by themselves, they would be talking more about it and show more preparation. I'm sure we would have heard from Katie about needing a break desperately. He also didn't mention not vlogging the duration of the trip. If it's something exciting, he's going to vlog especially when it's something new to bring in the views.
Katie just posted an Instastory from their hotel room saying that they are on a weekend trip without the kids. So I doubt they'd go all the way to CR just for the weekend. She talked about getting ready to go on an excursion today, so maybe they're somewhere in the Caribbean? Whatever it is, I bet it's a sponsored trip.

I’m sure they didn’t get to pick the destination or the excursions they are doing. I assume the hotel contacted them and said hey, wanna go to Seattle for the weekend? We have cool stuff planned for you! They are currently kayaking on Lake Union, that’s not exactly something I could see them choosing to do on their own. Lol
