But I was an actual adult and started at 10am. It was lovely to take my time, had a peaceful lunch and still got done with I needed to do. Jessica most likely started 2 pm and went to the mall. Wtf was she going to buy the kids there? Idk about CA but our malls here don’t really have “kid” stores. She just bought stuff for herself and luggage. She could have went to Ross/TJMaxx and bought that plus stuff for other people. She purposely makes things hard on herself. She wants to be out shopping on Xmas eve so she looks like this devote mother when in actuality she is lazy.

Yeahh I'm betting she's out shopping on Christmas Eve with the excuse that the kids will watch the video

it's such a stupid excuse oh the kids may watch the video's. or oh the kids friends may watch them. well first of all Why aren't you paying attention to what your 8 year old and younger children are watching. it's called parental blocks for a reason. secondly you don't seem to care that their friends could have all seen them being breast feed or in a bath or their actual flipping births but sure Christmas presents that's where you draw the line makes sense. I mean if it's about Santa which really do we think that Lilia actually still believes or that six year olds will be trolling youtube looking for her videos. (Talking about the twins classmates) then only show the presents She "Bought" and leave out the Santa presents for another video later.
This! Schedule that video for PM on Christmas! But no she'll clickbait "SHOPPING FOR PRESENTS ON CHRISTMAS EVE?!"

It's ridiculous, imo. Again, they let the cavity sit there, because Landen wouldn't "cooperate" (no sh*t, what 4 year old does?) and now that it's become an emergency, they leave him forever without food and water (presuming he stopped the night before) and don't even know what to do exactly, on top of which they give him anesthesia in this condition. No matter where you go, that is just bad treatment. Poor Landen has been more put under in his short 4 years of life, than I have in 25 years of life. I'm sorry, for once I have to go against popular opinion on here and kind of second Jess' opinion about doctors.

Makes me wonder if we're not getting the whole story.

Why wasn't there a consult appointment with this new office - where they do the X-rays and come up with a plan? From the way she's describing it the first time she goes there, he's fasting for sedation when she doesn't even know what work will be done. Why would she not call ahead and make sure they had the medical records before driving an hour?

But that's where Jess needs to step in. If her "gut" said not to be smart enough to get a second opinion. And I get frustration, I have a kid with a medical problem. But that's why as a parent you ask questions yet right off the bat she was rude to the woman trying to get their info. Jess acts like a know it all when her kids don't get proper nutrition but then she says its genetics. If its genetics then feed them better to try and prevent. This starts at home but instead Jess blames the dentist and is pissed off. When as a mom you have to advocate for your child. Put some numbing cream on it, give him tylenol and get him to another dentist. With her money she could pay for a dentist that does emergenacy visits. Then she wouldn't have a vlog though.

Some teeth are definitely more naturally cavity prone or the opposite. I’ve never had a cavity in my life despite taking mediocre care of my teeth as a kid. My dentist said it’s because some people don’t have many crevices in the surface of their teeth, and others do which makes it easier for bacteria and sugar to get down in there and form cavities.

Right. Which is why she should try to limit sugar and prevent it as much as possible. Jess instead throws all the sugar at them and has a deal with it later attitude.

Surely saying "he is not co-operative" doesnt fly, if you don't brush your kids teeth properly then he's going to have to have something done! You cant jus take him once, ASK if he wants it done and when he says no just go ok and leave it to get worse and worse.

In the UK the kids over here get their teeth checked at school - do they in the USA?

As a medical mom I hate having to babysit doctor's offices. Having to make sure medical records actually arrived, the right forms were sent, making sure everyone knows the plan, calling to make sure prior auth is ready to go etc. It's a lot of time on the phone but since there are risks to sedation shouldn't you be fully aware of what is going to happen before you bring your kid in?

I also agree that with the money Jess has she could have paid out of pocket if she had to, to have it done at another clinic. If she was truly that uncomfortable be like nope we're going home.

Not anymore. I did as a kid but my kids don't. I had braces and they told me I didn't need them - needless to say it didn't go over well with my dad. I think it was dental school students that they had doing them anyway.

I have to do the same but I also understand as my son has several specialists so there is a lot.

Has Jess even mentioned Landen going a few months ago like she said in the vlog today? You'd think she would have filmed that over her and Chris just driving around. I thought she filmed Lilia and the twins at the dentist not long ago.

It's unacceptable to allow a child's teeth to rot because they won't comply with sitting still.

My kid's dentist will prescribe 1 tablet of an anti-anxiety medication to take 1 hour before dental work and it really helps.

And then she cries because she's so behind in work... give me a break. Jessica has an opportunity to get a lot done with 4/5 of her children in school and a husband that does nothing most of the time.
I’m so confused why she didn’t take him to get a second opinion. Personal: when I was younger I had a cavity in a baby tooth. My dentist tried to fill it, I was screaming and crying so they stopped. My dad then took me to his dentist for a second opinion. His dentist said it was because my body was preparing for the tooth to fall out so had cut the blood supply off and it would fall out soon anyway so didn’t bother doing anything. Low and behold a few weeks later it fell out. Never had any issues since.
If you don’t trust the dentist/doctor/health care professional. You are well within your rights of seeking a second opinion. Especially as she seemed to have such conflicting information from two people at the same office

I am only 8:49 in the video but Jess's dentist and this surgury place both seem so incompetent. pain or not I would have walked out.

I have never heard of a dentist sending you home if the kid won’t cooperate during a filling. According to the vlog, Landen was uncooperative twice and the dentist sent them there. I’m thinking that the truth is Jessss let it go and by the time the dentist caught it, Landen was in pain & it was in root canal territory so they had to go to the surgeon.
