I can't get over how close the houses are around there. Like, can you even walk in between them lol? Also, I can't believe she opted for no pool. With the weather there, and the entire summer to keep 7 kids busy, packing up and going to Mimi's everyday is going to be a pain in the ass. They used the pool like everyday last summer. I honestly like their current rental house better.. they totally jumped the gun and took the first house they could.

I would legit lose my damn mind if I had Jess's tribe of kids every day to look after. Not to mention the extra two when T&C visit. So many that close in age. I would go insane. I love my kids, but they kinda drive me nuts sometimes and mine are spaced out pretty decent. If she has another baby, shes fucking crazy.

I watch a ton of youtubers who have told stories of people leaving things on their doorstep, sending them take-out pizzas, or waiting outside until they come out

Ya, it sucks for all you tubers. This one youtuber I watch has a FISH left at his house. And i think i read an article about zoella and alfie and how people would wait at their house and try and like jump the fence to see them and get a picture. Honestly I don't think there is anything a youtuber can really do about it, which sucks. And the more popular they get the easier it is to find their address. Roman Atwood's address (he has like 20 million followers between 2 channels) can be fond with just a google search!

Holy hell I found his address within ONE MINUTE... he lives a little over an hour from me.

But as I was looking on Zillow for homes in Modesto, I found a new development called Rose Park and the houses are gorgeous! They're making affordable homes from the low $300,000's to the low $400,000's. THEY EVEN MAKE A 6 BEDROOM HOME FOR $419,990. I guess they know that the people in Modesto are baby breeders Seriously, I think this would have been a perfect choice for Jessica. She's a stay at home mom, so the building process would be perfect for her because the meetings to decide on things are usually held during the hours that the kids are in school. And she could customize the house to fit her needs with their 7 children. She said that the house they just bought is going to be their "forever home". It was built in 1989. I'm not trying to say anything bad about fixer uppers at all, but there is no way Jessica could handle a fixer upper. And Chris doesn't seem like the type either. They need something where all the work is already done for them. That house is 28 years old and it hasn't been upgraded at all. Fixer uppers are wonderful if you can take on the challenge and you're committed, Jess and Chris are the right people. No shade to anyone that lives in California / Modesto... maybe it's just the houses Jessica picks... but damn... They all have zero curb appeal. They genuinely look like drug houses to me and about as ghetto as you get. I never see houses like that where I live except in the extremely low income areas / halfway houses....

Thank you, I was thinking the same. Renting, yeah maybe, until you have saved up enough to actually buy a nicer house, but if this really is the house they've bought, dude! Her current house looks a lot better than that thing with the metal fence around it! Gonna be fun when the children get there to see it and they'll bump against that thing! I see a lot of ER trips in the future.No, I can't warm up to the idea of her being a home "owner", especially to this ugly thing! Sorry to anybody who lives like that, don't be offended, it's just...she could do better than that, especially if she would not act so rash all the time! Even if she managed to pay off every little bit, so the house really is hers/theirs, how much could she ever sell this for, doesn't look like it would be sold easily? The one with the fence is not their new house. I was looking for houses for sale in Modesto and saw one that I thought was Jess and Drakes old house that they were renting (that she tried to imply that they brought at the time) and was having a laugh about if she brought the house she lived in with with her ex husband.

However the house wasn't the house I thought it was, and the poster above gave a pic of what Jess and Drakes old house really looked like for clarification.

Oh, I was an Idiot there. I didn't browse through all the pictures and missed the one where you could see the front of the house and thought this was the link to it. I'll take it back, it looks ok, but I'm still uncomfortable with the entire idea. For the kids sake I hope it works out for them finally and no other moving is needed, unless something broken ect.

I'm hoping Jess focus on paying her house off in at least 5 years, and invest in a bigger one later, the kids will need their own space, if she puts 300k down, it'll be easier to pay the next one, considering YouTube isn't paying anymore, or her channel doesn't make a living, she could rely on Chris, or God knows, her next husband.

What's the point of paying off a house, if you don't plan on staying there longer then the payment lasts? You could stay in a rented house just as well then...I don't get it.

Equity. When you own your house and are paying a mortgage you are paying the house off, so when you sell the house you get that money back. So if you buy a house for $200,000 and sell it when you have $100,000 left you will get that $100,000 back from the sale of the house (Usually though you can sell a house for more than you paid for it especially if you have done work so if you sold it for $250,000 you would walk away with $150,000 (of course you have to pay lawyers/real estate fees) so you could put that money towards a bigger/more expensive house or if Chris and Jess were to get divorced they could sell/split the money and each walk away with a huge chunk of change (or if god forbid they needed the money for a medical emergency or something.) when you are renting for 10 years and then decide to move... you have nothing.We sold our first home after 5 years and had enough for a decent down payment on a bigger home as well as extra to put away for home repairs.

Oh, I see, I thought this was only possible when you've paid everything off and not just a portion. I live in central Europe, the prices you usually have to pay for even decent and rather small houses (3 bedroom) are absurd here, this logic wouldn't necessarily work, since you could afford it only if you have a well payed job, meaning you'd probably select very careful what house you buy, instead of using it as a "start" if you will, so this whole scenerio seems a bit foreign to me
I'm with you on the renovating thing, that coud get them more money, should they decide to move again, but I'm not so sure about a divorce. At least here I know of a case where the money was fought over with lawyers, because one of them had put more money into the renovating process than the other and was demanding more as a result, really weird, but with a lawyer you can sue anybody about anything.

Houses within the "city" are right next to each other. There is no space to walk between your home and your neighbors.
The farm land houses actually come with at least a little bit of land. But yea if your in city limits here it's house on top of house. It's crazy that we "need" that many houses for how many people are here. [img]//uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201703 ... 91f1de.jpg[/img]


The sad thing is I'm about 30 min north have almost 100,000 more people on population. lol My town isn't the greatest but I sure as shit would rather live here then there.

I have to say something about the kids sharing rooms. The kids don't all need their own rooms. Millions of kids share rooms with siblings. Arguably, sharing can even be a positive experience.. I have a good friend who is a physician. He has a decent sized house on two acres of property. He has 3 boys and a girl. Boys' ages are 17, 11, 7. ( He had his first son when he was 17).Even though he could easily provide a bedroom for each of them, the all share one room. It is a pretty small room with a bunk bed and twin bed. They are all well adjusted kids. The eldest is very smart with aspirations of going into medicine. The middle child is athletically gifted like his dad, and the youngest boy as great musical abilities for his age, also like dad. Despite the age gaps, they are super close and I attribute that to sharing a room. If they want time alone, there are other rooms in the house they can go to. They have a living room, one very large family room, a smalleer one, and a study.. So maybe that makes things a bit different than Jesssssss' house. I doubt her house will have all those extra rooms. But people here keep saying things like saying things like "she can't cram the boys in one room... each kid needs to have his own bedroom etc...". If you are strictly speaking about sleeping arrangements, I say each kid does not NEED his own room.
Ok. That is as close I get to defending Jessica, because really, I can't stand her and am only here because her life is a train wreck lol.
