Oh, wow, that's crazy. I've never noticed that before. I went to his Dem White Boys days where I thought he'd be editing his photos less.

I suppose it depends on the reason why. My goddaughter tries so hard at school but is just not academic, whereas my niece's reading ability is 2 years above her age group and it comes easy to her. Both are 6 years old.asdfghjkl2 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 22, 2019 9:06 am Just to add to my last post, what do you guys think of Everleigh barely being able to read at age 6? I don’t know much about kids etc but both me and my sister were able to read fluently from a young age.
If it is due to their lifestyle or the amount of time she is at dance practice then that's disgraceful of her parents.
Most of our kids (including cousins and close friends) started to read at a basic level around 4-5 years old.
Our kids started school full time at 4 years old. I'm not sure if that differs where you are from.
I have also notice that a lot of these youtube kids aren't potty trained either until they are 3-4 years old which I think is quite late. I know you get exceptions and some kids struggle but where I'm from most kids are fully trained by 2.5 years old but they also have to be because nursery won't except them in nappies/ diapers!

Re: Cole&Sav - Welcome Baby Paycheck! | Part 2
the parents have the attitude that school will teach them all they need to know. i had to know how to read BEFORE i went to school and that was a school requirement. guess times have changed

Is she like 4 months old?strikeaposie wrote: ↑Mon Apr 22, 2019 7:41 am Is anyone else concerned that they keep trying to make it seem like Posie can stand? They had Everleigh hold her up in their Easter photo and that's just weird to me, Posie doesn't have control over her body yet and Everleigh shouldn't be tasked with catching her if she falls.

School and education is important, but it’s not the be all end all. I hate that when I was in school they shamed college and praised university. They didn’t even mention trades!
Everleigh is youtube famous and I’m sure she’ll have her own channel when she’s old enough to create content and edit (excluding Everleighs toy channel.)
If she’s good at dance, which I think she will be, especially hip hop, she could become a dance teacher at a renowned dance company.
She might be behind some, but she’s definitely average for her age group. She’ll be fine.

I think. She was born between Christmas and New Years. In the latest video they recreate Everleigh’s photos and Savannah holds her up and she’s super wiggly and unpredictable. I get that she needs to learn her legs, but not while Everleigh is holding her.Pina wrote: ↑Mon Apr 22, 2019 3:24 pmIs she like 4 months old?strikeaposie wrote: ↑Mon Apr 22, 2019 7:41 am Is anyone else concerned that they keep trying to make it seem like Posie can stand? I’m in school to be a teacher, and have recently completed a dyslexia endorsement which focuses on delving into phonics and helping struggling readers and Ev seems to be right on mark with where she should be. If she is a struggling reader, she shows no signs when reading aloud (just from what Sav posts on insta, which is pretty frequent) 6 is still only first grade. If she couldn’t read in about 3rd grade, that’s when it’s time to start looking at things that could be wrong. Tbh I’m shocked that Savannah nurtures her learning like that, good for them.

Re: Cole&Sav - Welcome Baby Paycheck! | Part 2
I don’t see how parents can’t prepare their kids for the real world. It’s fine if Everleigh wants to be a YouTuber and follow in their footsteps, but she should be equipped with the proper education to choose any path she likes. Sadly, I don’t see education pushed in the house. I see Everleigh has just getting by and maybe them encouraging her to go for her GED once she’s 16.Mspenny wrote: ↑Mon Apr 22, 2019 4:23 pmPina wrote:I suppose it depends on the reason why. Anything can happen from a torn ACL sidelining her dancing, to her wanting a more private life ( didn’t Savannah recently say that Everleigh hates Disney due to the number of people who approach her), to YouTube and carriers like it tanking.
Cole and Savannah should look into alternate carriers too, they won’t be able to farm out their kids forever. What will they do for a paycheck when they don’t have kids to exploit?

She just turned six and is in Kindergarten. She's actually right where she should be.flyergirl7 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 22, 2019 4:50 pm I’m in school to be a teacher, and have recently completed a dyslexia endorsement which focuses on delving into phonics and helping struggling readers and Ev seems to be right on mark with where she should be. Idk if someone already said this I don’t feel like reading 900+ posts but it really pisses me off when Cole is like “Posie be quiet we’re vlogging!” Like dude she’s a baby she doesn’t care about your stupid video so put the damn camera down and she what she needs! Babies don’t cry for no reason. It makes me sad for her every time. Poor baby her dad cares more about his content than her needs....

And YouTube isn't something that you should depend on for long term income. Audiences are notoriously fickle. YouTube is big now, but it could change. Family vlogging is already less lucrative. And nobody knows what the long term effects of the "fame" is on these kids that have been plastered all over the internet from a young age. As has been said, Ev already hates Disneyland, which used to be one of her favorite places to go. And finding out that your parents posted embarrassing moments from your childhood so that they could have a nicer life than they could likely have on their own skills and education is going to sting.strikeaposie wrote:I don’t see how parents can’t prepare their kids for the real world. It's a little early to say "Everleigh will be fine"
Is she even that talented a dancer? Hard to tell at this point when all they have her doing is crumping and making faces and throwing her arms around.

If it isn’t youtube, there will be something else. I seriously doubt we will ever see a time again where there is no social media. Everleigh loves attention! She loves making her own videos. Preteens and teenagers love posting on social media. There is no doubt in my mind she will have a channel and be famous.lmmomSD wrote:And YouTube isn't something that you should depend on for long term income. Audiences are notoriously fickle. I agree, we have no idea the emotional trauma family vlogging has caused her. Her parents make questionable choices every day and they still act like kids themselves. I’m sure she’ll grow into a little narcissist, just like her mom and step dad.
Will she be as mentally healthy as she could be? Probably not. Will she be homeless and incapable of finding work? Probably not.

Re: Cole&Sav - Welcome Baby Paycheck! | Part 2
Macauley Culkin was physically and mentally abused by his father. He’s done all kinds of drugs and had a heroin addiction, and that stuff changes your mind and can bring out psychosis, schizophrenia, and all sorts of mental illness. He also used to hang out with Michael Jackson privately. Who knows what happened there. I would not at all compare his life to Everleighs.Pina wrote:I mean look at the child star macaulay culkin.... The sexualised and provocative dancing/pictures accompanied by her self worth being built on subscribes and likes is pretty shitty parenting to me. Never mind the challenges and pranks they pull on her which is nothing short of bullying. These parents are actual idiots. And that's what we see on camera.Mspenny wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2019 1:51 amMacauley Culkin was physically and mentally abused by his father. Re: Cole&Sav - Welcome Baby Paycheck! | Part 2
I did agree with you that they are emotionally abusive towards Everleigh. My original opinion was that she isn’t doomed for life because she can’t read well. I think she has serious potential, despite the trauma she undoubtedly suffers. But by all means, expect the worst from her. . Ten years from now, send me a message if she’s hit rock bottom.Pina wrote:The sexualised and provocative dancing/pictures accompanied by her self worth being built on subscribes and likes is pretty shitty parenting to me.
