That bed is $410+HST and shipping at West Coast Kids. It’s literally a frame. Seems a bit ridiculous to spend that much on a kid’s bed of that type. It has a slatted base that’s sold separately, so this bed is actually $500+++. I don’t think a frame of this type will support a bed frame and box spring when ultimately Cohen grows bigger/taller and also decides that he no longer wants to sleep on a mattress on the floor. At that point the frame is garbage, unless of course BABY GIRL gets it plus prettier decor and expensive bedding and maybe even a - gasp - slat frame so she’s not on the floor.

Absolutely nothing in that room represented Cohen. And no reveal to him either, which tells me that this makeover wasn’t really for him. Why does he need such a large dresser when he only owns three items of clothing? Oh right, because Elle is REPURPOSING. This is about GROWTH. Nevermind the $1000 she spent sucking WCK’s dick.

Also - where is Forde’s big boy room? He is the oldest and his room is by far the most juvenile of the three.

We actually asked our 5 year old about a bedroom makeover and our query was met with staunch decline. Room is loved exactly as it is, so we are leaving it for another year.

I wonder if Elle asked Cohen if he even wanted a room makeover. Maybe she would have been surprised by his answer.

I didn’t notice dan wearing his wedding ring in that video, I didn’t pay attention to be honest, but I feel like that’s a detail Elle would have pre-planned. Like told him to wear it. I honestly just couldn’t get over how cold he seemed in that conversation.

She’s being super dismissive to the commenters with valid concerns about the hazards. Saying he’s 4 and would never do anything. Literally every parent has said it won’t happen, and guess what. It does.
She didn’t even have outlet covers on the outlets THAT ARE RIGHT IN HIS BED.
Did she even ask Cohen what he would like his room to look like? He’s probably like dinosaurs or something. I don’t think he’s gives a shit where his furniture comes from.

She also commented that she would buy a new light fixture when she had the money, but she dropped at least $800 on this room. Can’t afford to buy a light fixture that actually works in the room Elle?

I also have to say, I am SHOOK that she paid what she did for that bed. I legitimately saw it and thought she had made it herself and I was actually pretty impressed... then she announced she bought it and I was horrified at the price. If she was less concerned about being up wck ass and more concerned about actually providing “valuable content” she could have done a “I saw this very expensive bed I liked and decided to make my own and you can too” video. The price she paid is fucking outrageous.

The price she paid, the install of the light, and the moving of the dresser from the loft are all things that make me think Dan May still be around... if not as a husband, at least he’s still helping her when he comes round for the kids.

A 4 year old is a perfect age to explore and get into those ropes or touch a hot light bulb. What infuriates me is Elle clearly did the makeover with only what she likes because its "Scandinavian" style. What does that even mean? I know there is a definition but as a viewer I seriously doubt she knows what it is. Seems like she never took into account safety let alone what Cohen would like for his room. It shows and I'm glad it's backfiring on her. I bet Elle thought that this video will be a hit for her new channel. But as a result of her missing the mark on caring about who is this room for, it getting more and more dislikes.

And the price she paid for WCK products is outrageous for something someone can DIY. Not going off on that since you guys already did.

At 4, Cohen is old enough to have desires for how he’d like his room to look. Obviously you don’t need to go all out Paw Patrol but at least inject SOMETHING your kid likes into their room. I follow someone else whose son was huge into space and planets. They redid his room and, imo, added a lot of ‘space elements’ without overdoing it and their son was over-joyed.

It’s absolutely insane she would leave those strangulation hazards. He’s at the perfect age to try to climb his bed. They’re still curious but with more ability at this point. Or even Brighton. What about when she’s 2, mobile, and Elle is going to the washroom (so unable to keep her eyes on her kids)? All you need is 5 minutes for something terrible to happen.

All she had to say was - you know, I hadn’t realized that. I will definitely look into proofing it or removing it. Instead, since the room was done to HER liking she’ll keep it over her children’s safety.

EVERYTHING in that house is done for Elle. It’s her house, they all just occupy it.

If she was willing to leave him gagging in a pile of puke while she went and did her morning routine what is to stop her from walking by his room, hearing him suffocating by hanging from the ropes, thinking he's puking and waiting to clean it up until after she's had her coffee and/or coloured today's activity in her Bible? Although let’s be honest, this bitch just paid $400 for him to STILL sleep on a mattress on the floor clearly we aren’t the only ones who think this is abhorrent, this video has a bunch of dislikes compared to views. So Do it on a Dime's kids room makeover video showed up on my feed. It was actually really good with lots of tips and tricks on where you can save money and how to DIY cute decor. Most of all, her kid loves it because he chose the theme and he helped out in the makeover process! Also, no dangerous dangling lights in the child's reach around!

Mentioning this because it highlighted what Elle missed out on making her video:

- failed to consider that Cohen might want to do a theme for his room, not just Scandinavian style.
-failed to consider safety for Cohen and prioritize the style instead.
- failed to involve Cohen in the decorating process of his own room.
- failed to consider offering affordable options for her viewers by only affiliate linking expensive WCK.
- failed to show the viewers if Cohen liked his new room at all.

Actually the only time I think she thought about Cohen in creating the room is making the tassels blue (we don't even know if Cohen liked the tassels at all). She also made sure to have a closed container of Cohen's treasures. In true Elle fashion, she just probably wanted those knickknacks out of sight.

There is a photo of Dan and B on her Instagram posted on Nobember 26th and there is a crib in her room then. So she's been in a crib around 6 months. I still stand by the thought that she's probably keeping the Snoo *just in case*. She is dELLEusional after all...

Here's my theory with the meaning of Elle's tiktok rant:

She ranted a few months ago about how she hated the trending story filters that has specks in it. I immediately thought if she's trying to low key diss other mom Youtubers for using them. Specifically Amanda Muse or even Angela from thisgatherednest (they used those speckle filters all the time). Then I noticed how Elle wouldn't reply to Amanda every time she leaves a comment. Seems like if I was on the same platform (aka sort of co-workers) I would prioritize replying to colleagues. And now Elle is complaining about tik tok and how people that use it is unoriginal. Well guess who posts a lot of Tiktok videos since quarantine, Amanda Muse! Kathryn from Do it on a Dime went viral on tiktok too so I'm wondering if she is trying to minimize other people's successes with it. To me, it's a classic narcissists move.
