Jess the Drama Queen
Jess the Drama Queen
So I posted this comment in another Jess thread and it got me thinking with knowing Jess's track record with men, babies, life in general is this girl literally obsessed with causing drama and getting attention? Is this a sickness? Below is my post from the other thread. So what are your thoughts about this and her history?
Post from other thread: "I have to say this I am honestly shocked Addie is still in the hospital. Most hospitals want you out as soon as possible because of insurance and space. Remember Ellie and Jared's episodes with Calvin? They never or should I say "neglected" to get him this much medical attention so close together. Most hospitals I would think would see the baby is okay for maybe 24-48 hours, send them home "maybe" with a monitor and then set them up to see a specialist. Anyone ever thinking Jess is making a big stink about not leaving the hospital, and hamming up the attention for as long as they can and refusing to leave? I had a friend who's baby who was hospitalized for RSV and he had 2 episodes of stopping to breath. He stayed in the hospital for almost 10 days but he was actually a VERY SICK baby. They didn't send them home with any monitors after, they purchased their own owlet."

Re: Jess the Drama Queen
No. This is normal for anyone who was blue and cold and required cpr. Many specialists aren't there on the weekends, so things like the sleep study and getting test results interpreted would have to wait til Monday at least. And of course they'd want to observe a few days and make sure it wasn't happening again, and there was no damage from the first time. Being blue and cold isn't exactly great for the brain. It takes a LOT of testing and watching to make sure people are ok after a cardiac/respiratory arrest. Your friend's baby with RSV wasn't sent home with a monitor because his apnea was caused by an illness that was being cured. Addie just has to grow out of hers at some undetermined time, so yes she needs a monitor.
It's very hard to refuse to leave a hospital. If you're well, doctors are going to sign discharge papers and security will escort you out unless you have a very good reason. I do think Jess lives for attention, and she's surely going to play up this whole incident for the rest of her life nonstop, but I doubt she's begging to stay at the hospital.

[quote="smom12"]Do you mean munchausen by proxy?
I am not sure I would go that far yet. As clearly Addie did stop breathing. But, I do think she is living for this attention and has her whole youtube career. I could see her pull a stunt when something like this would happen not wanting to leave and insist she needs to stay in the hospital to get attention and post everything over social media. Basically, build a mountain out of mole hill. She clearly is using social media to her advantage. I could see any "normal" mother maybe posting once for prayers or good thoughts explaining what is going and then maybe a second time when they are home after saying their child is home and well etc. A lot of people in crisis don't find or want to spend all their time on social media when their sole focus is usually their loved one in need. She clearly is posting to excess and the things she is posting it is clear she knows that her views criticize and what will get them talking.

Re: Jess the Drama Queen
I feel like she has a huge ego about all of her kids being healthy and smart and indestructible though. If anything she plays illnesses down like it's nbd, just some head staples, normal tuesday. Or being overly confident in a home birth because she has perfect pregnancies/births. I don't think she has anything close to munchausens. More like narcissism and a GoogleMD degree.

Re: Jess the Drama Queen
Totally. She's getting attention from stuff that's happening to her kids. She clearly never had much attention, and never did anything with her life, so I think she's living via her kids. She loves to cause a stink, she loves the focus to be on her (or her kids)

Re: Jess the Drama Queen
I agree with the narcissism that is more what I am getting at here, I could see her turn into someone with maybe borderline munchausens in the future if her life starts to get "boring" lol . She will find something wrong with one of her kids or make something they have sound worse then it actually is.imapumkinseed wrote:I feel like she has a huge ego about all of her kids being healthy and smart and indestructible though. Re: Jess the Drama Queen
Thinking more on this... she could have made at least a few (probably highly profitable) videos about the process of evaluating Kaden for autism, starting the tests, etc, but her ego won't let her publicly admit that anything might be "wrong." This chick shows us her nipples on a daily basis, she can't tell us what some mysterious Dr appointments are for? If she truly had munchausens by proxy she'd be filming alllll that shit.
Now I could see her exaggerating any issues with Addies health in the future or trying to relate it to this incident... "Addies hair is growing super slowly, I don't know if that's from her SIDS or what..."

She hasn't accomplished anything so far (acadamically), her dream of being a teenmom, married to her highschool sweetheart, while getting her degree and being admired for her felixibility in life turned out to be a big fail. She knows, she doesn't have the nerve to juggle her entire life at the same time, so she looks for something admireable in her kids and her husbands, that has to fill that empty space of purpose. I know someone like her, never really having accompished anything (I mean anything, not even high school), except for marrying rich and having three kids, so she tries to make her kids out to be the best, whether that's true or not. She also always let them get their way, because she didn't have the wisdom to understand what parenting actually meant. Sound familiar?
Re: Jess the Drama Queen
Yes this is the core route of her problem! I wonder what will happen once her kids get older, she will have like a late 20's early 30's "mid-life but not mid-life" crisis!Captain Smooth wrote:This!missy-1010 wrote:Totally. Re: Jess the Drama Queen
What happens if Lilia isn't a teen mom? I expect Jess would either
A) burst into flames
B) melt like the witch in wizard of oz
Or C) poke holes in her condoms before her 19th birthday so she can be a TEEN mom just like her! "Facing teen pregnancy with a conniving attitude!"

Haha I could so see this happening. Jess is basically someone with the attitude of Michelle Duggar but not as "moral".

Re: Jess the Drama Queen
Somehow, I don't believe that. You know how parents sometimes make the worst decisions for their life while defending them as "my life, my decision" or "fate/god"? Then they have children and start to become the most annoying parents in the world, because they hinder their kids at basically living any kind of independent life, so they can achieve everything that their parents never achieved. Or blame every failure the kids encounter on their hardly-present Dad, "no wonder you're like this, you take after your Dad". I can see that for Jess in the future much more, than her obsession with babies, that will probably last as long, as long she can support her lifestyle. I don't think that'll be the case when Lilia turns 16.missy-1010 wrote:What happens if Lilia isn't a teen mom? I expect Jess would either

Still bugs me how they always call addie their miracle baby. Yes it was a scary thing that happened but she’s fine. Move on. Learn. She’s fine
