Re: E+J Backyard Expansion Pack. Part #29
Ellie would not be able to handle the adoption process. All of my children are adopted. There are so many requirements necessary to become certified, Ellie would surely feel judgment with all the questions and documentation needed to prove you have a "suitable" home and family life. I can't even imagine how Ellie would handle an open adoption or visitations. I could go on an on. The favoritism she exhibits regarding her biological children (how would she treat an adopted child?), the humility of the whole process, the regulations, requirements regarding medical care, etc. she's too self absorbed right now to consider adoption.

Myka Stauffer is still trying to adopt Huxley.. I don't think Ellie has the brain capacity to handle a potentially stressful anything.

This is in response to a post from the previous thread.. I'm not sure how to carry over comments.
Yes - PCOS certainly plays a part in infertility. I recently watched their very early videos (when they were trying to get pregnant with Jackson and they're at the fertility specialist) and Ellie did have cysts all over her ovaries. You're right though, not all women have this problem.
The cysts can really do a number on your ovulation and can make it really wacky, thus making it difficult to conceive initially. And then due to other hormone imbalances and insulin resistance you're more likely to have miscarriages, still births, early births, etc. Some women have this more seriously than others and either respond well to treatments or respond badly.
PCOS doesn't just cause obesity in women, but it can cause issues on the other side of the weight spectrum making it difficult for women to gain weight. (I would bet money that this is what's going on with Ellie!)
I've been reading recently that it's possible to help combat these types of symptoms based on what you eat. A diet low in starch, low in refined sugars, low in all kinds of processed foods is what is really recommended. From what I've seen, Ellie just eats a bunch of junk..
Honestly I don't really see them making any extreme diet changes!

It drives me mad that Jared doesn't show his siblings on camera and never gives them a shout out. Matt and Em used to be in their vlogs a lot and they used to have so much fun together but now it seems like competition for Jared. Matt and Em can't be doing that well as their channel is so small (I noticed Matt was standing in the background when the siblings and their dad were singing songs and it made me feel bad for the guy). I also really like Ryan and Maria's channel with sassy little Anne. I thought they were all about FAMILY but it seems only Ellie's matters.

I wouldn't say it's what she eats, it's how much (or little) she eats. I've seen her cook up some veggies, red meat, fish, all kinds of good stuff, but then I look at her plate and sigh, that woman eats like a bird!

Re: E+J Backyard Expansion Pack. Part #29
Whether Ellie even has PCOS is fairly debatable on this board. Yes PCOS typically causes fertility issues, but no, it doesn't always (I have it). Ellie got pregnant very quickly with Jackson once monitoring was involved and the guesswork was taken out of the timing, and she got pregnant first try with Calvin. She is also completely confident she will get pregnant again easily. This is very atypical of someone who truly believes they have infertility.
It is also very unlikely that PCOS is the cause of Ellie's low weight given how quickly she put weight on when she thought she was pregnant. This definitely seems to me like she was eating better because she thought she was pregnant, and made a point of losing the weight shortly after.
Ellie's main obstacle in TTC is her own inability to listen to and learn from those around her. She should know far more about her body and her conditions at this point than she apparently does. We predicted it all last cycle! She was warned the OPK wasn't reliable due to PCOS. She was told not to count on that being ovulation day without temping. She was then also told that not all cycles are a standard and predictable 28 days (something she should already know given her supposed long cycles). Ellie's idiocy is the real problem in my opinion.

Matt and Em hardly get any views.. he's a little , a lot , awkward .. Em is great, but I'm sure she's busy and can't vlog all day
The kids are kind and creative
Matt is grest with the kids and Em.. They have like a real love and friendship between them #aspirations looks like he's getting skinny from stress.. kinda rundown looking lately
I'm hope they hold on ..cause you don't become a champion without a struggle

Ugggh. I know it's been said, but those sunglasses are horrible on Ellie. Whoever said that they look like she's a little girl wearing her mom's sunglasses hit it spot on.

Maybe they aren't money hungry and want to make it out their own.. I'd like to think that.. Matt and Em are so cute.SunnySide0 wrote:It drives me mad that Jared doesn't show his siblings on camera and never gives them a shout out. Re: E+J Backyard Expansion Pack. Part #29
You are spot on with all of this, but the part i put in bold was exactly what i was going to say. When Ellie thought she was pregnant she out on weight fast and easily, and was on her way to a healthier weight. Then she dropped it all just as fast when she got her period and realized she wasn't pregnant. I don't think Ellie has anything physical that is keeping her from gaining. I think it's all mental. I just wish someone could get it through her head that she needs to put on some weight if she wants to get pregnant. But like you said, shes such an idiot she can't comprehend that.HelloSweetie wrote:Whether Ellie even has PCOS is fairly debatable on this board. Omg I just watched this for the first time. Ellie looks so pretty and this long smile at the end is so awkward. The entire video is filled with bad acting. For the lazy:
Re: E+J Backyard Expansion Pack. Part #29
That was a really odd baby name reveal. Corny but also just a weird idea.
Regarding PCOS, a lot of women with it have success bringing on ovulation with clomid or Femara. That's still infertility, even if someone only needs one cycle of the medicine. It's a different experience than someone who went through IVF, but it's still infertility.

True, but you can't just go to your doctor and get Clomid and Femara. You have to actually have he cycle issues that can go along with it, and not everyone does. By the time you reach a point where Clomid it Femara are treatment options, you've likely already tried for a year or so and have already been diagnosed with IF.Cgl33 wrote:That was a really odd baby name reveal. We are talking about Ellie her, not anyone else, and she is ultimately the only one who really knows her fertility situation, and her ATTITUDE and expectation that she would get pregnant ASAP (on an unmedicated cycle) just doesn't mesh with the idea that she struggled for years with IF.
