I rarely watch 8Passengers but I remember I used to be annoyed by Eve and the way she acted. Same goes for Bonnie's kids at times, along with many other youtuber kids. Then I have to remind myself that it really is not their fault. It's their parents' fault. They're constantly shifting back and forth between their YouTube persona to reality. These kids cannot distinguish right from wrong after putting up with this for so long. It seems so damaging.Tiger27 wrote:We’re seeing this play out with Eve on 8passengers. She doesn’t seem to understand right from wrong and what appropriate behavior is in public because she’s been encouraged to act out for the camera for so long. She has connected naughty behavior with positive attention from her mom. They’re too young to distinguish between just straight up told to do bad things and being told to *act* bad for a scene, in their little minds, it’s all the same. Do something naughty, get filmed, make mommy happy. I think a whole generation of YouTube kids are being brought up like this. We’ll certainly see behavioral issues in the future as a result.Ducklings4 wrote:Just watched the Gingerbread house vlog. They definitely told Lincoln to smash that house. These kids have cameras in their faces 24/7 and with Bonnie's "blooper reels", it feels even more like a production. I couldn't imagine waking up each morning to a camera a few inches from my face. And then to have some parts of my life online that I don't feel comfortable about (ie perhaps my bedroom or a personal hobby).
From a home video standpoint, I can understand an annual video of a bunch of funny moments put together, but they don't have to be blooper reels. They can be moments from the vlogs that were funny. But, no, it's a production and now they've started framing them as if they're regular videos and not bloopers.

Is today a blooper reel? I don't watch her vlogs anymore, usually just read here. I admit I did watch a few lately just to see the Christmas vlogs but if it's just a blooper reel, I don't want to give her the view.

No it's not, it's the Xmas eve vlog where Bonnie and her parents all got Tiffany's jewelry. But with the bracelet Bonnie and Joel got her mom Bonnie admits to wearing it for a whole month before gifting it, just like Ellie does when she gives presents. What is it with them doing that? I feel guilty if I even skim through a book I'm gifting in case of creasing the spine. Just such bad taste never mind etiquette.Bollie_Dollie_4_Life wrote:Is today a blooper reel? To be fair, Ellie used up half of a box of face masks, you can’t get that back and no one does shit like that and thinks they are being giving. Bonnie basically re-gifted old crap, but I assume it was at least lightly used and she really did think it was nice and her mom would like it. Joel should have pointed a it how tacky she was being.Scar2016 wrote:No it's not, it's the Xmas eve vlog where Bonnie and her parents all got Tiffany's jewelry. But wait, B&J didn't buy the bracelet new for her mom? It was one of Bonnie's old pieces of jewelry? I missed that bit Like E&J 'gifting Jared's parents their old mobile phones...? Where did they learn this crap from? (Rhetorical question)HelloSweetie wrote:To be fair, Ellie used up half of a box of face masks, you can’t get that back and no one does shit like that and thinks they are being giving. Oh I’m just assuming. If you wear something for a month, you’ve made it your own in my opinion. That’s why I say it’s essentially regifting.Scar2016 wrote:But wait, B&J didn't buy the bracelet new for her mom? It was one of Bonnie's old pieces of jewelry? In my opinion, wearing/using something before gifting it to somebody is "regifting". It would have been different if it were "oh I know you like the bracelet I've been wearing" and then giving that one to her, OR buying her a new one. Same goes for clothes. If one sibling takes a specific item of clothing a lot, it might be alright to give it to them for Christmas if it isn't in stores anymore. Otherwise, for people who are unsuspecting, it's not right to regift...especially to family of all people.

I don't see anything wrong with bonnie wearing the bracelet. Its not like she actually does anything with her hands anyway. It is no different than if the bracelet was sitting on a mannequin. I think it was wrong to TELL her mother she'd been wearing it though. That sort of cheapens the sentiment.

Hahah, yes. I agree with this. I get what you mean about wearing it, but telling her is just silly. Like you said, it takes the meaning out of it.Sweetiebee wrote: Its not like she actually does anything with her hands anyway.

I would never wear a bracelet for a month, then give it to someone as a gift. Thats just wrong, whether its a relative or not. If she wanted to give it to her mom, she should still buy a NEW GIFT and hand the bracelet to her mom and tell her she wants her to have it. Explain that she doesnt want it, but if she (mom) likes it she can have it. She can afford a nice thoughtful new gift. Bonnie isnt scrounging around for change to buy Christmas Gifts thats for sure!

This is worse than re-gifting, it's giving something that's used as a gift. Big difference.Sweetiebee wrote:I don't see anything wrong with bonnie wearing the bracelet. Exactly. If she wanted the bracelet for herself, buy one. And then they can be "twinsies"! Gag. No, it is not ok to wear a bracelet for a month. It's very different from it "being on a mannequin". Bonnie may not do anything with her hands, but it's still getting dirt and dead skin cells all over it. It's just not right.Todays drama wrote:I would never wear a bracelet for a month, then give it to someone as a gift. Thats just wrong, whether its a relative or not. I gave my sister a ring of mine that she really admired, but not as a Christmas gift. That's different.
Miss Manners would be disgusted by this family.

My point was, if she never told her mom, or viewers, no one would've known and that would've been better. Was kinda being sarcastic about the mannequin hands part.

What sort of person even thinks about wearing a christmas gift for someone else for a month before they give it to them?? The whole thought process is messed up to me!!

We need a sarcasm font, lol. But yeah, if she hadn't said anything, nobody would have been the wiser.Sweetiebee wrote:My point was, if she never told her mom, or viewers, no one would've known and that would've been better. Was kinda being sarcastic about the mannequin hands part.
Which proves that she didn't think there was anything wrong with it.

Didn't her mom even notice it? She seems to spend every other day with them.
Re: Bonnie Hoellein: $15K While She Sleeps the Day Away. Par
Absolutely she should not have worn a brand new bracelet that was purchased for her mum (I’m assuming that’s what happened, I don’t want to give them a view). If the gift was intended her mum and she didn’t like it, she should have the right to return it to the store but if Bonnie’s had her grubby hands all over it and worn it for a MONTH then no way can it be returned. At least that’s how it works in Australia where you can only return something in as new, tag on, re-sellable condition.
