She could at least for to preschool twice a week this year and 3 times a week next year. It’s not that expensive. I’ve noticed that since I started watching her a year and a half ago, Delilah has never ONCE mentioned taking Eloise to a playgroup. I’m a WAHM and pre-Covid I’d take my kid out every day! It makes both our lives so much easier. The hours really tick by slowly when you sit in your living room all day.
Re: LoeppkysLife: My Life is So Boring & Plain, But All I Do is Sit Around & Complain | Part Two
Yeah and like I mentioned in the last thread, preschool would be great of both Eloise and Delilah. Eloise could go and play/socialize with other kids and Delilah can just focus on Theo and possibly have some more time for things she wants to do. I think she did mention in a previous vlog that she wanted to try to do preschool at home? I cant remember but Eloise would definitely benefit from actually going to school. Also just for the fact that she seems so bored and under stimulated at home all day everyday.

I have been going through SO much mom guilt these last 2 months. My son is 18 months old and with winter and covid hitting us hard in Ontario I am STRUGGLING with my son at home.
And I don't work like her. He watches TV more than I'd like to admit. Its so disheartening that EVERYTHING is closed and I can't take my son anywhere nor can we afford daycare either because my job got cut from covid. So we are stuck at home day in and day out. I try so very hard to give him fun activities but he makes things difficult.
She could definitely do a class with them. Now that Zach is home too she has even more time to divide her attention with the kids and bring them out individually and together. She has so much opportunity right now but she's wasting it at home.
Which, I can understand but I think she's in a much better situation than most families right now.

She doesn’t even take them to the playground. She drags them to value village once a week, that’s it

The worst part is they have the income, and Daycare is cheap (subjective I know) in Canada if you apply for the advance payment child care credit. The government covers 75% of daycare fees at any daycare private or government-run every month. It depends on income... but our family does alright and we still get 75% coverage. I pay about $250 give or take a month and they have her all day, feed her lunch, and two snacks made by a child nutritionist. They also have taught her so much that I tried to teach her and she just didn't get it. But in-school got right away - like Math.Sobinski wrote: ↑Thu Dec 03, 2020 3:08 pm She could at least for to preschool twice a week this year and 3 times a week next year. It’s not that expensive. I'm saying this in Delilah's situation, as her family has not been affected from Covid as many others have. I totally understand the above poster's comments about being locked in the house all day with a preschooler, as daycare is not an option right now with Covid and family income!
But she has no excuse. Eloise is going to be screwed when she starts 'big girl' school if they don't put her in something now to get used to it. Is she planning on homeschooling them indefinitely, even into primary, grade 1 etc.?
Re: LoeppkysLife: My Life is So Boring & Plain, But All I Do is Sit Around & Complain | Part Two
I don't think she is planning on homeschooling them into elementary, but I think she said she was gonna try just for preschool? Again dont quote me on that because I dont really remember lol. I do remember she said that when they start kindergarten/elementary, she was planning on sending them to a Christian school where her and Zach also attended when they were kids.

Since they still haven't sold their home its beyond me why they didn't paint first and postponed moving a week or two later. Make a mess, clean it up once then move in. With Zach not working he could have done it full time. Drop the kids off on the weekend at grandmas and do it together. She finished furnishing and decorating the living room then pushed and covered everything and started to paint. Now they added a bunch of new furniture to the playroom, screw shelves on the wall, and they want to paint it before Christmas. And when its all done they will redo the flooring in the whole house. Do they plan renovating that whole house after bedtime with 2 stay at home parents? It sucks living in a construction zone but they would have had the option to do otherwise.
Re: LoeppkysLife: My Life is So Boring & Plain, But All I Do is Sit Around & Complain | Part Two
Literally and I dont understand why she started decorating and getting new furniture set up BEFORE they even started painting. She said she just wanted it to "feel like home" but it makes zero sense. Like she decorates the living room and then starts painting it? Like paint first and then decorate lol. She's just so concerned with her "aesthetic" and wanting everything to look picture perfect all the time, and now they are still painting like 2 months after moving in, when they definitely had the option to do it before they even moved in. And now she complains about her home being a "construction zone" but thats what they get for being dumb lolbridzs wrote: ↑Fri Dec 04, 2020 8:54 am Since they still haven't sold their home its beyond me why they didn't paint first and postponed moving a week or two later. I also dont understand her obsession with redoing the floor. I mean it may need to be replaced in a few years or so, but right now its still in good condition so I dont understand the rush. Why fix it if it's not broken?

Oh wow, they finally got Eloise a bed. About damn time lol
Also, I really hope they secure that giant storage thing to the wall. God forbid it fell somehow and crushed one of the kids.

I agree that Eloise needs to be in preschool. I get the hesitation because of covid-19 but I guarantee that even without that going on Delilah still wouldn't send her. And why not? Because then she won't be present all day for her boring ass vlogs.

Maybe she's waiting until she has another kid to replace Eloise.
IIRC Eloise should be going to JK next Fall anyways. So she can't put it off much longer.
I do wonder if it's the religious aspect holding her back. Perhaps it's hard to find a preschool or other activity that meets their standards?

That's not even a question I saw those in hapafamilys video but in the price quickly scared me off.pomegranate wrote: ↑Fri Dec 04, 2020 4:58 pm Five bucks she ordered her nugget in the colour "Rodeo".
I love how she picked a see through storage cabinet that's in the playroom for her out of rotation toys. Quintessentialy Delilah: aesthetically pleasing, totally defeats the purpose
Beside that the playroom looks great, those are some lucky kids.

That tall, thin Ikea Billy bookshelf with glass doors seems so dangerous for a playroom. I have a son the same age as Theo and I feel like he would climb it and it would fall over on him, or He could break the glass doing his normal toddler stuff.
Also, still waiting for the baby gate for the top of the basement stairs. I’m so curious how she keeps Theo from falling down them!
Eloise got a bedframe! That made me so happy. Finally off the cold ground. Why did it take 2 years?!

I hope they secured it to the wall too, I never thought of that! O recently moved a tall bookshelf out of my living room because my toddler kept trying to shake it when playing with his toys. I didn’t consider attaching to wall, I just moved it out to be safe.
Re: LoeppkysLife: My Life is So Boring & Plain, But All I Do is Sit Around & Complain | Part Two
I’m glad you mentioned the glass doors, I was pretty certain I saw them hanging open near the end of the vlog. It seems dangerous if the doors cannot be secured shut. I admit I LOL’d at the montage of them moving a beautiful play kitchen out, just to replace with it another, more basic play kitchen. So much excess. This is just me, I would never drill toy accessories, like those spice racks, into my drywall. It would just create another needless project of filling the holes in, a few months down the line when the kitchen set is moved.Shensness wrote:That tall, thin Ikea Billy bookshelf with glass doors seems so dangerous for a playroom. They’re still biting off more than they can chew, she’s trying to do way more than is feasible with two toddlers that nap once a day, presumably. I think she showed three big projects in one day, stating that she doubts they will get to them, that day. Yes, very doubtful. If she wants to have lofty, daily goals, that’s fine, but she seems so stressed out and annoyed when she doesn’t get to them. I think the saying goes, “Rome wasn’t built in a day”.

I'm sure she wanted a Rodeo colored Nugget, but with the Lotto, you choose 3 options for colors and the company ultimately selects for you. I assume she chose Rodeo, Pebble, or Harbor, but wanted Rodeo lol

You were allowed to only choose one if you wanted, it just lowered your chances.celestialll wrote: ↑Mon Dec 07, 2020 8:39 am I'm sure she wanted a Rodeo colored Nugget, but with the Lotto, you choose 3 options for colors and the company ultimately selects for you. I was thinking Rodeo, Saturn, or Redwood.
Pebble and Harbour are fairly grey and she seems to prefer warm "bohemian" tones.
