The last one...
"ya...it was hard..i got kicked out and had to live with my DAD!"
hahaha like, as if that is the worst thing a parent would ever do...send you to the other parent.
What a joke.

OH, AND!
The girl that admitted to stealing the pregnancy test....
If you can't even afford a $5 test HOW IN THE FUCK are you going to afford a baby?
For christ's sake.

Re: Really Young Teenage Parents
I see this everyday, I am literally SICK and TIRED of seeing these girls come into my office, hop up on the table with a look of happiness and accomplishment and be honestly OK with their situation. The worst past is when a girl is under 18 she is allowed a parent/guardian in the room and we pretty much request this for girls under 16, and the parents are just as bad. I have seen 28-35 year old grandmothers to be just EXCITED that their 12-13-14 year old is pregnant. It blows my mind, it really does. Nobody should be even having sex at those ages, nevermind unprotected and pregnant. I hope that someday the world..or at least North America opens it's eyes to this problem and makes some sort of 8th grade wide implanon day where they give girls (with parental consent of course) the implant. If we can do it for Hep and HPV why can't we do it for pregnancy, it is becoming just as much of an epidemic.

What do you say to the parents and child? "Congratu...lations? I honestly don't say much, but my emotions are pretty transparent. It must be painfully obvious that I am disgusted with them both. I have had a few not return and I am A-Okay with that. We talk a lot amongst ourselves in the field and I can't find anyone with an opinion that differs from mine, so if they are looking for a hand to hold they are not going to find it around here.TWDfan wrote:What do you say to the parents and child? I feel bad for the 13 year old that miscarried...she's so young and should not have had to experience that. I mean, how do you help someone so young cope with that? Hopefully she will keep her legs closed until she's ready.
Re: Really Young Teenage Parents
She seems pretty mature (for a 13 y/o). I think if she really miscarried and it wasn't a lie, like her friends think, than she is learning to live with it and hopefully it won't affect her later on in life. I've never miscarried; I'm too afraid to TTC because of PCOS, & a miscarriage would devastate me. I think I would have dealt with it better if I was that young because I don't think she fully understands and she knew she couldn't raise the baby anyway...Not that miscarriages are in anyway a good thing, but she should take it maybe as a blessing...I'm not trying to sound harsh in ANY WAY...I just think it was maybe for the best given her situation... AGAIN, not trying to sound mean and I hope it doesn't come off that way. I don't want to offend anyone that has miscarried...TaylorKnows wrote:I feel bad for the 13 year old that miscarried...she's so young and should not have had to experience that. I would be the same way if I were you. How can a mom be ecstatic that their 14 year old is pregnant?Littlewaltz wrote:I honestly don't say much, but my emotions are pretty transparent. Wow, they're in for a rude awakening! As soon as I got my period, my mother offered to put me on birth control. I got "the talk" at a young age with an embellishment on the consequences. I plan to do that with my son in hopes that he won't knock up some dumb little girl.

Re: Really Young Teenage Parents
Holy crap! The first girl amazes me.... First off, what the hell is wrong with her parents? They let their daughter's boyfriend sleep over every weekend for 2 years during middle school and high school!!?? That, to me, is absolutely insane! They may as well have just bought a crib for the room when they allowed that to go on... what did they expect would happen? She's young so of course she wanted her bf to come sleep over, but it's her parents' jobs to guide her and protect her from making big mistakes for which she can't yet foresee the consequences. Secondly, she is all proud of herself that she has a car and her license, doing well in school, starting a job... her parents have made all of that happen for her! She doesn't have an income... they paid for her driving lessons and for the car she's driving. They help her financially by putting the child in daycare or they watch the baby while she's at school and extracurricular activities... she would NOT be able to do any of that without their help! She doesn't pay for anything for that baby, her parents do... bottles, clothes, supplies, EVERYTHING! She acts like she's doing this herself I'm sooo glad that she's now getting a job, but that doesn't mean that she'll be financially supporting her son; she can't legally work enough at her age to do so and go to school at the same time. She kept talking about how adoption is the best option if you can't take care of your kid, yet she's not taking care of hers... sure, she plays with him and takes care of him for a few hours after school and when she doesn't have extracurriculars, but that does not make her the primary caregiver!

Re: Really Young Teenage Parents
I know this is a touchy subject but I call bullshit on the miscarriage girl. Lost her baby at 5 weeks and actually SAW the baby? Bull. 3 weeks after conception, if I'm not mistaken, it's a ball of cells that kind of looks like a tadpole... but not as big...

Re: Really Young Teenage Parents
Oh man. The girl that had her boyfriend sleep over. That would never be allowed when I was home. I had boys over we had to be in the living room. I wasn't allowed to have a boyfriend until I was 14. I barely could hold a guys hand lol!
I must be a prude. When I was 13 I was busy playing make believe at the park or playing barbies lol
