She's insane. Even if for some reason the seller was going to lower it to something they could afford (which would never happen. They're not going to go from 800k to what? 100k?) the taxes on that house are whatever they are no matter listing or selling price. No way they could afford that. I'm in shock that she even thinks they'd consider her offer. Someone needs to ask her what she's been preapproved for (doubt that she has been at all) and how much she has saved for a down payment. She desperately needs a reality check.

That's what I was thinking of... the taxes. It would be sooooo much money. If the house is worth close to a million, the taxes should be close to 15 k. And they would only have a few months to pay that without getting penalized.

How? Its reality. Its not like shes saying she wants to become a teacher and is actually actively trying to be a teacher and here we come bringing her down. We are just saying its unrealistic of her to even think she can buy a $800k house. DIFFERENCE.
