Can someone screenshot his rant? I'm blocked on Twitter... And I can't figure out how to log out so I can see his tweets anyway.

I've said this once before but I don't think there's anything wrong/weird about a 4 year old still saying "mama" and "dada". Where I grew up, myself and my friends were still saying it well into second or third grade, when we were 8-9 years old. It's a regional/family thing. The only weird thing about it is that B&M actively *discourage* him from switching to Mom and Dad. I don't see the big fuss about it if he wants to do it. It's a syllable for goodness sakes, it doesn't mean he'll be running off to college next week!

My son (3 in June) switched from Dada to Daddy really quick, like maybe around 2 and 3 months? But he still calls me Mama even though sometimes we refer to me as Mommy. We're from Virginia (a very rural southern ish part) so we just say he's gonna call me Mama when he's older lol. He says "too/two" with a little southern drawl like "teeyoo"

Whoa.. I totally dont think they "forgot" about the driver and her date, he probably stared at them the whole time while Missy was on her phone.

My friend drives for uber when shes headed downtown to work every morning and on her way home.

Do you mean 12-13 months because babies don’t speak at 2-3 months.

My little man never said dada it was always Dad (usually screamed) but at 19 months I’m still mama.

All I can say that I didn't like about the video is that my quality went down every time he the bubbles were on screen.

There’s actually a REALLY cool reason as to why this happens! Maybe it’s not interesting to everyone but I figured I’d post this video since I just watched it a few weeks ago and it will probably never be relevant to share again. :p

If it was his choice, no, I wouldn't have a problem with it. But the way they actively discourage him from calling them anything else is weird.
My best friend is from Virginia and her mom will be Mama until the day she dies. She's Mama Julia to me. But that's our choice. She never told us not to call her Mom.

What an ass. And how does he know that those were _their_ "southwestern egg rolls"? And if he goes to Chili's (where southwestern egg rolls are served) for Valentine's Day, what does he expect? Sometimes orders get mixed up.
I say again: what an ass. And Finn isn't a "monster".

I agree. The insistence is the weird part.

Our kids (4,7&9) still call us Mama/Dada. We refer to each other as Mom & Dad when talking to the kids, but they call us whatever they want.

I’m wondering if it’s a generational thing. All my kids friends still call their parents Mama/Dada too. And they have been to 2 different elementary schools, and the kids have done it at both schools. I heard a 6th grader call his mom “mama” at meet the teacher night. And we’re in Ontario, so not a stereotypical region for it.

So, maybe millennials have inadvertently encouraged their kids to call them Mama/Dada? Image

At least the lumps gave Karl and jinger credit for the pool thing. They actually did the same thing a few weeks ago. Missy at first made it sound like it was all them then later Bryan put the link in.

I can’t imagine how much it’s costing them to heat that pool to 90 degrees! He made it sound like they were going to have a huge storm which isn’t true.
Remember when they had to take cold showers because they ran out of gas and couldn’t get a delivery right away?? I don’t see them being aware of their consumption.

Bryan complained about how they are cooped up in the house all winter. Please. Some people live where it’s gray all winter long and you’re lucky to get a couple days where it’s warm enough to go for a walk.

Then Missy whined that she was exhauthted because they had a crazy day swimming and taking care of the horse.

All they do is spend money and complain!
