Those of you who are picking apart Elle for everything she says, does, doesn't do... Seriously? So she puts her life on YouTube does that mean she is open game for bully behaviour for all of you??? Are you all that elementary? Those of you with children and are doing your best, think about having some person critique your every mistake and tell everyone about it but you? essentially that is what you are all doing here!

Most negative comments here are about Elle being a total hypocrite and pretending to do everything out of the goodness of her heart when in reality they only thing she dreams of is being rich and famous ... oh and influential because she's so smart.

Most of the criticism on this thread is warranted if you watch her videos. These are opinions on what Elle chooses to put out into the world for everyone to see. Also, just because you disagree with someone doesn't mean you hate them. If you didn't want to see other's opinion on her why even click on the thread?

Girl, go back to YouTube! You are free to make all the positive comments you want there. This is a place to gossip about youtubers, off of their channel...without them immediately deleting every comment for not being 100% supportive of them. There are lots of conversations here, not everything negative. Trust me, a keyboard warrior (which is what you are as well) like yourself shows up the this site every few weeks with the same intentions...shaming us for having differing opinions on a YouTuber than the mainstream. You will not accomplish anything with your posts and no one is going to feel anything different about being on this site after reading your posts. You are welcome to add something useful to the conversation (positive and negative posts are perfectly allowed), but be prepared to back up your point. Simply calling us out for being on this site and adding absolutely nothing productive to the conversation will get you banned. If you like Elle so much and think we are all so horribly wrong about her, let’s debate..I want to hear why!!

Sure I’m open to a good debate.

So what she has tried many different ways of living. As a child I was mentally and physically abused and I also went through a lot of personality and physical changes as I didn’t really know who I was. From a very early age I was told I was useless and a mistake! It’s hard to truly find who you really are when that voice in your head keeps telling you that no matter what you do your still shit.

I honestly think that is what has gone on for Elle to. I think she is trying to make a world of what she thinks is best for her and her family.

She’s fake. She’s a know it all. She considers herself an expert when in reality she isn’t educated on anything and is just an out of work hairdresser. Which is offensive to hairdressers, because they have knowledge and style - both of which she’s lacking.

There's nothing wrong with changing and trying to figure out who you are. I don't think anyone dislikes her or her channel because she's just "tried many different ways of living". She's just a very confused person. So even when she thinks she's being real, she ain't. And I think her channel is the blind leading the blind. She has no freaking idea what she's doing, and she knows it, and she tries to make it all better with how "natural", "positive", "empowering" her channel is.. Give me a break.

Let's not forget when she uploaded the video of Ford a year or so ago where she accidentally uploaded the uncut version of the video and it was her getting mad at Ford and making essentially forcing him to sit there and do the video for her. How old was he? 4 or 5 at the time? I'm sorry, but that was the first red flag for me watching her videos and after that, I've never been able to fully trust her. She puts out this "I've got it all together" facade for years and then recently decides to get honest (not because she actually cares, more for the sake of seeming relatable). Then she wonders why she is getting so much backlash and why people are hating her so much.

I feel bad for Elle when it comes to her past. but she can't use that as an excuse every time something goes wrong. There are SO MANY people who comment on her videos daily with nothing but love and positivity for her. If she was getting round the clock hate, she would have left YT a looooong time ago (exhibit A, how quick she was to threaten to leave after her marriage video received backlash). She gets mostly love from the like bar, and in the comments. She's fine lol, we just like bitching about the things she does here because it's a safe space to do so. Would rather comment negatively on a forum no one is forcing her to read then her own comment section.

I guess I am asking why does anyone here feel its ok to talk about anyone here? I mean nothing good ever comes from Gossip. We all as people are just trying to live our lives to the best of our ability. Some people choose to be more open like all the you tube personalities and other choose to keep their lives private and that's our and their right.

And why is it ok when YouTubers delete negative but totally objective comments under their videos? Sometimes it's more than just not agreeing with someone. Over one year ago Elle launched a new merch. I was an avid viewer and supporter of her channel back then so I immediately went to order something for myself. I was so happy that I could support her plus some proceedings went also for charitable causes which made me buy something from her even more. The problem was Elle didn't mention that her customers would be charged shipping costs for every single item they ordered (because the items were delivered separately). I was majorly sleep-deprived at that time (newborn at home) and also stupid because I paid not even looking twice at the receipt. I really didn't expect from a person like her that something could went this much wrong or that she would try to scam anyone. She always acted like a highly responsible person that plans everything in detail. Boy I was wrong. I looked at the receipt the next day and saw that I was charged shipping costs three times. My first thought: oh its definitely a system error. So, I emailed both the manufacturing company and Elle. Only got a response from Elle. She only wrote that she could do nothing about it and thanked me for supporting her channel. It was a big slap in my face. I was so disappointed. When the merch came in, I only wanted to throw it away. She didn't do anything about it - I watched several videos and she didn't mention a word about it so that people were aware. I wonder how many people were stupid enough to buy the merch and got scammed the same way. And I also wonder if it was a planned strategy of her from the beginning. Even if she wasn't aware of it then still she did nothing about it when I/people (?) told her and didn't apologize her viewers for collaborating with this company. So for me she's a scammer. And she's definitely only focused on making money - no matter what.

Anyone notice that Elle deleted her “dog bit my baby” vlog!! I wonder if the therapy made her feel bad for capitalizing on such a dramatic event and that maybe Forde wouldn’t want that shown to the world, perhaps because he’s starting school soon? Has she mentioned why she deleted it? Either way I think it was a wise decision.

Getting rid of your dog when you’re being a bad owner and letting a baby torment the poor animal isn’t very vegan. Doesn’t align with the ideals. All the vegans I know would’ve worked closely with the dog (or never left them unsupervised). Right or wrong to get rid of the dog, I’m thinking she deleted it for her big vegan rebranding. If she wants to pull from that crowd she has to cleanse her channel first

Hmm I think the most interesting thing about that is that video was uploaded in 2016 and she only just posted that comment about having it removed a month ago. Which means she must have actively searched that out to make sure there were no reuploads. Just sort of adds to the idea that she now must think the video makes her look bad.

I think that Elle is only "Vegan" as a control and weight loss thing. She is looking borderline underweight lately and running more with those lovely black eye patches on. Her mentioning her "Mom Tum" in the NYC blog was ridiculous... Ya Elle total mom bod...

I've watched her for a long time, since the dog bite incident. I used to really enjoy her channel but stopped watching as often because she constantly mentions how the channel is her BUSINESS and discusses her subscriber count, advertising strategies, etc. Also I get that she's private but I've noticed there a lot more "this thing is going on but I can't share with you guys" moments than other YouTubers. As many of you have pointed out, she totally goes through phases where she changes up basically her entire vibe of the channel every few months which feels very inauthentic. I'm not loving the current version of Elle- huge glasses, unkempt hair, almost scary thin, sickly skin tone, mala beads, and oversized shawls. It's giving me major Professor Trelwaney vibes lol. Don't get me started on her admitting she and Dan conceived Cohen and tried for a third while seriously considering divorce just because "they both didn't want multiple baby daddy's/momma's". Geez!

And what's up with the constant front tuck of her top into her leggings? It looks super awkward and I wish she'd cover up the camel toe.
