I do have a huge problem with the way Ruby is raising her kids and I haven't got the feeling that she is a very smart person, but she definitely has got a good business sense concering youtube. What I don't understand is how Bonnie and Ellie, whose channels are struggling, don't seem to learn anything from Ruby.
Ruby does put up decent content (mostly) unlike her narcissistic sisters. You can tell she cares about her viewers. Can you imagine the jealousy in that family? I bet Bonnie and Ellie don't even talk to her unless they have to.
She puts up decent content.
She doesn't call her viewers haters if they don't agree with things she does (she might think it to herself, who knows, but she never says it on camera)
She doesn't brag about deleting comments (which are often times not hate comments, just critical or a different view on situations/behaviors anyway)
She always uploads on time and never has weird excuses
She at least tries to upload special vlogs like holidays or birthdays right after it happened, although her usual vlogs are many days behind
While the comments were still on, she (or Kevin) sometimes actually reacted to controversial discussions, talked about it in a vlog or put a statement up.
They didn't buy a huge soulless McMansion (yet) which makes them a lot more relatable to viewers
Kevin is working which again makes them more relatable
For the amount of money they must be making they are still living a pretty frugal life and not throwing their money away for bs like a lot of other youtubers, which also makes them look like a "normal", down to earth, relatable family
Doing all of those things obviously lets her get away with things other youtubers struggled with like uploading with a 10(?) day delay, comments being turned of etc.
That's just the business point of view though. I still don't agree with the way she raises her kids and that she is pretty much selling them out for her success.
