It’s a local theater production of Annie...probably with people in their religious homeschooling circle. It’s not that serious.

At all the community theaters I've been to there are hundreds of talented local girls just DYING to play Annie or one of the orphans. I know it's not Broadway, but there are girls out there who can sing, dance, and act in every community.
I am interested in seeing videos of Bailey playing Annie as I love "Annie." I'm going to see a local production next month.
I don't even think it's real community theater. I think it's as was said, just their homeschool community. Basically a school play. Especially in LA, there are lots of talented kids in community theater.

If you Google the city they live in and put "Annie" after it, you can quite easily find the website of the theatre company. There is only 5 performances but if you think it's fairly near LA where thousands of children Bailey's age are dying to become the next big star, it just makes you wonder...

I do wonder whether Bailey played the "my aunt was in Waitress on Broadway, she's Miranda sings and she has X amount of subscribers here and followers there" Or perhaps the production know how emotionally unstable she is for her age and knew she wouldn't be able to handle if she didn't get the part... Hmm
I don’t think Bailey is emotionally unstable. Inmature? Yes but I wouldn’t call her emotionally unstable. I think Jessica and Chris have the kids act for the vlogs like when they announce pregnancies and stuff and Bailey isn’t good at showing emotions on command. ( I don’t think any child is lol.) Bailey just seems like a sweet kid who is very inmature and young for her age. She’s 12 and she got excited about dolls and playschool legos for her birthday. I don’t think she knows that she’s too young for this stuff. I don’t think Parker acts his age either. I think Jake is the only child in the family who acts his age. I really want to see that kid grow up and spill all the crazy that the Ballingers are.
I can’t see Bailey using Colleen but I can see chris or Jessica telling the program about Colleen.

Wow. Thanks for clarifying. I really had no idea.
Yes, it does make you wonder!
megh1995 wrote:And just to add, Bailey doesn't have a great singing voice and she CLEARLY isn't very good at acting either. In the "I Don't Need Anything But You" videos Colleen posted, Bailey is looking at her finger before he's even sang 'you've wrapped me around that cute little finger'. There's a difference between acting and doing what you are directed to do.
Nice to seen Colleen there and supporting though, I suppose.
I tried looking for those videos you mentioned, but couldn't find anything... how do I find em?

It was on Colleen's story but has probably wiped now because it's been over 24 hours. Or possibly she deleted it early - it was the night before last. There were videos of Parker and Duncan singing with everyone at the end of the show I'm guessing? Then a few of Bailey singing "I Don't Need Anything But You" with Mr Warbucks.

Jessica posted a long thing on twitter about Bailey's presents back when she was ordering them. Basically saying she originally thought the toys Bailey wanted were too babyish but that she decided to let her keep being a kid while she can and that this might be the last year her list is like that.
I kinda hope Bailey or Parker never want to go to public school I feel like they wouldn’t be able to handle it because a lot of the kids can be really mean probably especially for Parker because he’s more “feminine” I think Jacob would be the only one to transition well

Parker brought 2 suitcases of crap to Colleen’s to do his one man show? I would hate to go to a Ballinger thanksgiving for the sheer reason of the kids doing damn dinner theatre. There is no way I’m eating a massive meal then watching the kids put on a show. Maybe it’s just me but there is no way I would be able to handle it

He has to put "on a show" for every freaking function. He randomly does shows too. For that theirs a time and a place. The kid is so attention seeking. It drives me.

That's what makes me wonder about his "preference" for sparkly "girly" clothes. I don't care if he really chooses to dress that way because he just wants to (although I don't think his parents should put it on blast on the internet). But I wonder if he does at least some of it for attention. It's a big loud family, and I wonder if he exaggerates his desire to wear the things he does because he gets attention. Performing seems to be rewarded in that family.
Or, maybe he just likes it.

Good for Parker that he's able to do what he wants without being stifled by the obligatory and often arbitrary masculinity our society puts on little boys. Who needs it?
