I was so sad to see the interaction between Jude and Eve in his birthday video and BOTH Mike and Megan had to guess at that she was trying to say to them. They are so lucky she's easy going and is okay with whatever they seem to interpret for her. I would say that I am impressed with the birthday party involvement, but when you don't have a job, don't involve yourself with your children's education, and always look for an excuse to spend money-party planning for Meg seems like a dream day. Sad to see that Jude doesn't have any friends other than cousins. If the cousins had not moved to their area recently there would have been no other children at the house for his "party."

22 days hiking through rainforest doesn't sound that much fun for kids. Especially kids with spine issues and kids under a certain age. You really get to see in Jude's b-day video how bad Esther's back is when she is talking about the chinese whosawhatszi flute and playing the ukelele. I can't imagine how much pain both her and Pearl will be in when they return home from this "selfish" experience that I'm sure was only wanted by Mom for Instagram photos and bragging rights. Also you would think that with them being gone for almost a month she would be pushing schooling and not wasting time in lala land making stuff for a party just to be smashed.

oh they won't be hiking the whole time...they will also be cramped in a van on an "EPIC 2000 mile road trip." Hope they packed those pull ups for Jude in those backpacks since public restrooms are few and far between as well.....

I actually can't make it the whole way thru this video, this guy is the reason why Americans have such a bad rep in the world. He's in a Chilean National Park and he's berating the security guy and insisting that he needs to speak english to him because he doesn't speak spanish. I'm sorry, he's not entitled to any special treatment on THEIR land just because he doesn't speak their language. Furthermore, it's sacred land and his girlfriend might not have CROSSED the "barrier," but she was ON the barrier by putting her foot on the rocks. They were in the wrong here.

That being said....

I can totally see the Knorpps here with their ADHDers and other free-range children running amuck and crossing such a barrier and them getting into trouble...all the while the adults are taking video of how "magical" and "incredible" the ancient site is.

This video has nothing to do with where they are from, he is showing how he has been treated badly as a human being, both verbally, mentally and physically. If you care to take the time to view the rest of the video you will see it's all about money. He was pushed and could have been seriously injured, thank goodness they were not sent to jail over bribery.

I understand that, I was just commenting on this specific video. There is corruption everywhere, even in the US. The Knorpps just live in their rose colored LDS thrifted glass container. I said it previously, I will say it again...I will consider this trip a success if the US State Department/Embassy doesn't have to get involved.

I don't understand why they drove all the way to Atlanta to fly out only to have a lay over in Florida for hours.

I figured they must have been flying direct from Atlanta to Lima, as they offer direct flights. But no, they just wanted to add 4 hours on to their trip for whatever Megan reason.

It was probably cheaper for them, to be fair. Sometimes flights with weird connections and long layovers end up a lot cheaper for large groups than direct. That's my only reasonable guess... Though they seem like they have a lot of money maybe they dropped a little too much on the new 'fixer-upper'

There has been radio silence on the topic of the "new house" with the exception of the bunk bed video. We already know that they have met with at least one contractor. I suspect that once the brother moves out, they will sell it.

They are setting this whole thing up. They are going to "love" Peru so much that they are going to go back to full time traveling....sell the house. It's the perfect cover up instead of saying "we weren't smart in buying the house..."

I think the kids are probably MORE educated while on the move like this than at home.

One thing I didn’t like was watching poor Pearl walk. She has a serious looking limp that looks more pronounced now than ever. I hope this trip is painless for her.

I agree but the one big thing that stuck out to me was that Mike and Megan have claimed to be taking spanish lessons to become "bilingual" and she didn't even know the spanish word for "tomorrow." Weird.

This is actually extremely insulting for her to post. So what, you were broke. No you aren't. Don't diminish the hard work and hustle of the average person just because you are a member of some cult religion that financially supports one another. She should have just left it alone. No, no- they were running late. They got there 2 hours early. I was low key hoping to see a “We’re going to be late, RUN!” By the time they found where they needed to be.

Meggers figures 2 hours was plenty for an international flight. I really, really was hoping for karma to bite them in the ass.
