I wouldn't doubt that was also Rachelle's reason too but she needed an excuse that wouldn't make her look bad.mahamilton wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 8:14 am Off-topic from baby roo, but have they ever addressed why they turn their kids forward-facing so damn early? Rachelle and Justin just turned their 2 yo around to prevent car sickness apparently, so it made me wonder if Kyra and Oscar have ever explained their reasoning?

OKBaby: Screw the Doctor! Vasectomy for Oscar! | Part 34
It just feels like they aren’t trying anymore. Like I’ve said before, the birth vlogs were always special. Were they milking it more and more with each pregnancy? Sure. But it just seemed and felt like another daily vlog. You’d think they’d go out of their ways to make this one extra special given it was supposed to be their last pregnancy. I don’t know how I would’ve felt if I were in Roo’s place years from now and compared her welcome with the world to Alaya’s for exampleMiloandMax1 wrote:I think if anything this one seemed off because of Kyra. How she's acted this pregnancy being the last you can tell is bothering her. She was going to try and get a 5th had her doctor not said what they said.

Re: OKBaby: Screw the Doctor! Vasectomy for Oscar! | Part 34
I agree this birth vlog was boring and uneventful and just meh.
I think a lot had to do with that though. 1) covid has changed so many things for women having babies. I feel like it takes a way a tiny bit of the magic. Maybe it instills some anxiety and fear in women. I had my son in 2019, so of course life before covid. I had planned for just my husband in the room but my mom ended up staying and being a wonderful support system. My in laws waited the whole 7 hours while I was in labor and they came in afterwards. It was so special. My brother visited and my dad after work. I know not all women want visitors and it's a time to really soak in 1 on 1 time with baby but I think having family visit makes it much more special. Plus for them its vlog footage.
2) last baby. For kyra I think in the back of her head, she knows this is the final set of firsts with babies. I won't be surprised if she suffers from some form of PPD because her identity is shifting from always pregnant to now raising these 4 kids. The baby stage will soon be over forever or a very very long time. Its almost like now that she knows this is it, she stopped really being excited. Which leads me to
3) so many changes. They move practically every year. They had averie less than 2 years ago. New cars, new homes, new pregnancies, new kids. How is that fun? Its a constant life of adjusting and moving and welcoming a new baby and newborns then toddlers then do it all over again. I think in some way the novelty has worn off. With the move to Cali and also the house just doesn't feel like home. It feels like a weird hotel when I watch their videos now. But I just think after all that being said, they're bored and scared of a life without a newborn and pregnancy announcements and being distracted.

To add on to the birth vlog being boring, after 3 it is kind of hard to make it interesting. And not that viewers want traumatic births to happen, it was a scheduled c-section so there wasn't much leading up to it (like Averie she went into labor at home so they filmed the drive to the hospital).

I think her late stage miscarriage last year (in September I think) also played a part in why they didn’t film so much and seem “excited”. Bc in the baby shower video Kyra was crying and saying along the lines that she felt unsettled and it didn’t feel real that she was going to be bringing home a baby. Idk the timeline for sure but the baby would have been born around May or June and I doubt that Kyra and Oscar fully grieved their loss. I think it might be why she’s not overly “excited” because she is missing one child but is also trying to bond with the new baby. Tell me if I’m wrong though bc I’ve never been in this situation.wonderwall99 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 12:10 pm I agree this birth vlog was boring and uneventful and just meh.

Keren’s lackluster “congrats” on IG story and Kyra’s equally lackluster “thanks” is just further proof of how they are no longer close friends. Glad kyra realized what a toxic bitch Keren is.
The new baby looks ok from the front, but really unfortunate looking from the side.

Could it have been gender disappointment? She cried about Levi having 3 sisters, or is that not why she cried?

I’m the one who asked if it was her boob out.
Lol ok I really don’t care. I breastfed, I get it. I was just genuinely surprised and genuinely asking cause I couldn’t tell. Haha
Not the end of the world. And I’m not judging them harshly, shit happens
Just asking cause if it was I was surprised they accidentally left it in because it wasn’t a nip slip, it was a whole breast.
Again, lol not a huge deal. Yikes.

Yep, I breastfed too. I've got no problem with the footage of her breastfeeding. Actually I think that's good, because it helps normalize it. Also just a little surprised that they left the "wardrobe malfunction" in.WTFDidIJustWatch wrote:I’m the one who asked if it was her boob out.

But whatever. They are showing real life at least. Gotta admit, it's better than those silly influencers who put on fresh makeup before they push/before they go into the OR for the C-section so they look perfect for Instagram.

I don’t believe she ever said but I’m thinking she was past her first trimester. I know she talks more about it on her kbaby channel.09love wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 8:03 pmI rarely watch them and didn’t know she had a miscarriage. Yes lol my husband cried when our first was born but he didnt when our son was born. I didnt show emotions for either jist out of pure exhaustion and my births were easy. Everybody portrays having a baby with excitement but the emotions are not always there in the begining and that’s completely noemal. I dont particulary enjoy the newborn stage either i mean they’re cute and all but it’s just so much fun when they’re 2+plelk wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 9:53 am I don’t have kids of my own yet, so I don’t truly understand the brain chemistry behind this, but i just wanted to ask – does the excitement wear off with multiples overtime? Like... I’m sure they’re really happy right now but the vlog felt almost forced, like, here you guys go, we’re serving you same old shit

Re: OKBaby: Screw the Doctor! Vasectomy for Oscar! | Part 34
I agree with everyone about the "low effort" feel to the birth vlog. I feel like it seems this way because their vlogs ARE low effort. They don't even put them out half the time. It really pisses me off because when they want something (a new house, a minivan) they all of a sudden are extremely capable of putting out content, getting sponsorships, and posting to Kyra's channel. It's frustrating enough knowing how much money they're making for so little effort, but to then see them ONLY make an effort when they want something is really frustrating. Imagine if everyone else only put effort into their job when they wanted a new car...

Tapatalk isn’t letting me reply to anyone. But if anyone needs the discord link message me.
Also I disagree about them not having any emotion in this birth vlog. Alaya’s recap is on discord, they had ZERO emotion with her. They were happy with Levi, emotionless with Alaya, super excited and in love with Averie, and it seems like they were just casually in love with baby Roo. Seeing Alaya’s recap made me so sad for her.

I think they showed a perfect amount of emotions keep in mind it’s filmed and not filmed every second people tend to get more personal off camera Kyra was under heavy drugs and this is there 4th child lol I have 3 myself and we’re not jumping and crying everytime one is born lol I’m pregnant with my 4th and I’m sure it will feel perfectly normal for us almost natural feeling. I’m glad the baby and her are healthy and IMO all babies are beautiful

i think this video was fine to be honest Kyra said she had mixed feelings and was both sad and happy. Plus she mentionned having a panic attack (vomitting and stuff) while waiting for Oscar so yeah between being tired and under drugs, i get they don't jump up and down. Oscar seemed anxious too at the beginning but fine and proud at the end. I don't know i don't give them a lot of credit regarding many of their choices ( of house , or of education) but that vlog looks fine to me.

I don’t mean to be so heartless but this baby is not it. Whoever said she looks like Oscars dad you are so right. What’s up with the babies this year looking like the grandpas? Britney’s baby now Kyras too. I’m crossing my fingers hoping it’s just the newborn old man phase.
