Generally, I really like this family. I have mostly good things to say about them.

I think they're definitely one of the better YT families - I like that the parents are respectful of their children's privacy and know when to put the camera down. Stephen and Amanda seem like genuinely nice people and I think they're doing a good job at raising their children to be empathetic, well adjusted, and good people. I think it's incredible to see how much Lincoln is thriving in such a supportive and loving environment. I do think they have their children's best interest at heart. All in all, they are good parents.

Also, I like that they make an effort to connect their adopted children to their cultures and encourage them to pursue friendships within their communities. I think that's extremely important for Adoptees of colour to have that. I can tell Penelope really appreciates it.

Sometimes I feel like they're are a bit too laid back when it comes to enforcing rules and boundaries? I remember when Reese was talking about creepy guys she's dealt with and IIRC, one of them was a guy she was talking to online when she was pretty young?? Like, where are her parents during all of this?? A lot of instances on the vlogs make me think that they really want to be the "cool parents" lol even at times when they need to be putting their foot down and be the uncool but responsible parent.

I see that Reese moved back home. So she was only living independently for 7 or 8 months before she decided she's learnt enough?? Yikes. Idk, I think she should have at least stuck it out for a year instead of giving up so easily. Nothing wrong with moving back in with your parents but 8 months of independent living is NOTHING lol and I watched her video in which she addresses why she moved back. It was mostly her being really defensive and whining about what people are going to say lol which checks out with how she acts on here. Reese.. I get that you love your family and are naturally protective of them... but like others have said, you gotta accept that if you're putting yourself out there, you will be talked about. Not everything that is said against you or your family is necessarily an attack. We aren't being "haters" for having critical thinking abilities or constructive criticism. If it affects you so much, you really shouldn't be reading here.

I don't think the kids contributing here and there to the care of Lincoln is a bad thing. They all seem to genuinely really love him. But I agree that maybe they sometimes feel a little resentful of the fact that Amanda puts so much time and energy into him. Which is to be expected, him being the youngest and also disabled.

I haven't watched in a while so I have a few questions:

Whatever happened to their cats?? I know one went missing but are they all gone now?? And yet they keep going on about how they want a dog (and goats and chickens lol) but I don't see it going down so well, considering they couldn't even take care of the cats and have a very dependent disabled child to take care of. Adding a dog into the mix seems like a really bad idea.

Does anyone know if Liam is still taking his growth hormone shots? Haven't seen them mention it in a while. I really hope he is! Also, I feel like Liam and Ethan would both really benefit from braces. Better now than later.
