Where on earth would one post such an ad on Craigslist? I tried looking for her add, but gave up rather quickly because I didn't know where to even start looking. I agree that she will start trying to conceive again soon, probably in the next six to eight months. I think she needs to wait a while before having another one, considering how big Jacob was at birth and the fact she tore during childbirth. I've heard that a baby weighing so much at birth--ten pounds--can set them up for failure in a sense (obesity, diabetes, etc), so hopefully she is more responsible next time around.

The idea of buying sperm off of Craigslist just sounds so disgusting to me. How is it even legal to do such a thing? If her ad is found should someone report her? I know we were all told about the stork when we were little, but baby by Fedex is just all kind of wrong. How does she even know the man she talked to is the one who provided the sperm? I'm sorry, but I would need to know a man pretty damn well before agreeing to bring his spawn into the world.

I looked up Kansas MO mother 3 as keywords and it popped right up in 2011 LMAO it was way easy, I did not have to search craigslist I just used google because in her ad she said I am not looking for intimate encounters just to expand my family I am a mom of 3 just lost my baby all this stuff, she also listed her adress just about because she did not want a donor far away....

What a terrible example she is setting for her kids. How can she be a moral authority for them if she is engaging in all of this foolishness? I used to really, really like her videos, but lately I have been seeing her in a different light. I haven't always agreed with her opinions, but the beginning of the end for me was when she accused the hospital staff of being against her because she is a single, black mom. The whole world cannot be against one person all the time, and I wish she would realize that. Where did she say she had Medicaid? I haven't watched all of her videos yet--I'm trying, but most of them are 20-30 minutes long and 30 x 800+ = way too long to sit in front of the computer watching one person. Her Canadian baby daddy is on welfare, too? That's crazy. Sperm only costs $300-$600 at a sperm clinic, which is very reasonable in my opinion. If you cannot afford a few hundred dollars up front, you shouldn't be having a child. She's very lucky everyone turned out well for her.

I know that clinics are not perfect, but they at least test for stds, which she put herself at risk for by paying strangers off the internet. The donor she chose could have been a psychopath that tortured/murdered herself and her children, which I would never want to happen. What if the donor only agreed to impregnate her so he and his wife/girlfriend could murder Jamilla, steal the baby, and raise it as their own? I know that sounds crazy, but things like that happen all the time. Women are attacked and murdered everyday because someone wants a baby and can't have one, so they take extreme measures to get one.

At the very least, she opened herself up to a potential custody battle, since I'm sure Jamilla didn't have him sign any legal documents waiving his rights to the baby. If the donor decided he wanted visitation rights, she would be a heap of trouble. Had she gone to a clinic, this would never be an issue.

That was so dangerous of her to use sperm from a stranger. What if he had std's or some other serious illness.She also doesn't know his health history or his families. That was crazy for her to risk that. She claimed that most sperm banks won't ship to your house without a Doctors consent. She clearly couldn't afford it. My cousins husband has zero sperm so they used a sperm bank called Northwest Cryo and they send the sperm directly to your home without a Doctors consent for home inseminations. My cousin said it cost them around 600 dollars plus the shipping fees so that tells me that Jamila simply couldn't afford it. People questioned her about why she didn't use a safe sperm bank and she came up with all sorts of excuses.

The unfortunate thing is some of the health hazards won't present themselves until Jacob is older, and at point there is nothing she can do. What if the donor and his family had a history of heart disease, cancer, obesity (yes, I know Jamilla is obese, but it isn't fair for Jacob to get hit with a double wammie), stroke, depression and other mental health issues, etc. There are other diseases as well, and it would take hours to discuss them all. Certain ethnicities are more at risk for certain diseases, so I hope Jamilla at least knew his full ethnic make up. Caucasian or caucasian looking people can have other ethnicities mixed in as well. I'm caucasian, but I also have a considerable amount of Native American in me as well, which you wouldn't know by looking at me.

My boyfriend and I have been together for three years and we have talked about our health and our family's health quite a bit. In fact, before we start trying to conceive, or maybe before the wedding, I want genetic testing. I know certain things about mine and his family, but we could be carriers for other diseases and not know it. If he or I are a carrier for certain diseases, I refuse to have biological children. To be honest, I would rather adopt anyway.

I certainly hope Jamilla asked those questions, but I wouldn't be surprised if she didn't even know his full name.

She probably didn't care she wanted sperm at any cost. She is also obsessed with having a biracial baby. All her other children are one race so you would think that since she was using a donor that she would have choose a African American donor so all the kids would look similar and share the same race. That was my prediction: 6 to 8 months. I think she will definitely be pregnant again by Christmas. She said she wants 8 kids and I believe she will have that many. I wonder why she waited so long to conceive another baby--I think she started trying 2 or 3 years ago, so her youngest would have been 6 at that time.

I have nothing better to do, so I am looking through her old videos and I am watching one where Jamilla calls her mom a hater and claims her mom is against her because she was losing weight. She called her mom her "biggest hate advocate" and said she thinks her mom is the one hating on her videos. She was complaining that her mom hurt her so much she stayed up all night crying and couldn't go work out. She also claimed that her mother turned her brothers against her because of the weight loss and her brothers were constantly out to get her and harassing her. If her family has issues with her it's probably because they know she is crazy and want to stay clear of her. That would explain why she was alone for Jacobs birth and had to get a cab home from the hospital and pay a babysitter to watch her kids. I have given birth twice and each time I had many family members offer to come bring me home from the hospital while my husband worked. Some even offered to drive up from a hour or so away. She had basically no one from her family there for her when she had Jacob. It kind of makes you think.

I have naturally curly hair, but occassionally I will straighten it and no one has never said a negative word to me. In fact, I get so many compliments on my hair--curly or straight. That is such a sad situation for her kids. I grew up with a mom who hated everyone and was only out for herself, so I was isolated from my family until I left her house. As isolated as I was, I still had some contact with my relatives because my dad dug his heels in and refused to cut off his family entirely. I saw my mom's side of the family sporadically, but that was only when mom knew she could get something out of them, ie money. My mom stopped talking to her mom when she refused to help my mom buy her current home. She hated my grandma, but feels entitled to her money when she dies. She told me she is looking forward to the day grandma dies because she wants the money. Mom even looked forward to my stepdad's passing just so she could get the money. :/ I've been in the position her kids are in now and it isn't pleasant. It has taken me years to recover as much as I have from living with my mom and I know I probably still have a ways to go. Good luck to Jamilla's children--they are going to need it.
