Reasons to not disable you tube or social media comments

#1 Disabling comments on your video kind of makes it seem like you have something to hide. The vast majority of YouTube videos do have comments enabled so when a viewer comes across one where the comments are turned off alarm bells can start ringing.

#2 Disabling comments can frustrate and alienate viewers who do have something positive to say. Give those people a platform before writing off their opinions.

#3 Leaving comments enable can generate even more interest in your video. It isn’t uncommon for people to view a video whilst skimming through the comments at the same time, looking for validation that they should keep watching. If they see that others have found value, then chances are they will keep watching to the end too. And we know that increased watch time can influence how your video ranks in the search results.
#4 A lively comment discussion will keep people returning again and again for the latest update.

Plus one of their psycho fans favorite things is to "interact" with them in the comments since, you know, they're "family." What is that one psycho woman doing now that her long letter to the Greeders on every vlog doesn't show up for her to see right away? They are trying to punish the haters but all they're doing is punishing their fans. And that's going to cause a lot of people to sour really quickly.

The majority of their fans must be either tween girls who have the same mentality as Ass that 4 babies = 4 dolls or old women who have forgotten what normal childhood development looks like. There is no way parents of other 2.5 year olds watch those girls and think they're normal in any way. My kid is older now but even I can remember her well enough at that age to see there is something severely wrong with those girls. And my daughter was a late bloomer when it came to walking, speaking, etc.

Right, right they get way more comments on their YouTube channel then on their FB page. At least I think so. I don't count or really even read through the FB comments of the vlog but I only noticed because of them turning off comments. Maybe they're trying to drive all the commenting to FB so they only have to delete on one venue. I think their so butt hurt from the TLC comments they still have their tail between their legs and they think that this way they can gain some control.

I really think they're pushing Facebook comments because it's easier to see who makes them and just block them. Isn't it more difficult on YouTube because you can change your name more easily?

I have seen comments on YouTube though, from people who say they don't "have Facebook access" (they're usually asking how to get access to Asswit's lipshit stuff without Facebook)

I'd usually read GOMI, then YouTube comments to decide if I wanted to watch a vlog. I almost never read Facebook comments.

I definitely think they're going to lose fans. Mostly because of what we're all saying here about fans thinking they are "family", wanting to interact, etc.

They've never had respect for anything or anybody. Always allowed girls to go anywhere and touch things with dirty, sticky hands, even in stores. And to ruin brand new beautiful, expensive clothing by almost never having them wear bibs when eating.

Tyson constantly tells all the girls they are pretty, beautiful, and smart. And everything they do is a "good job".

The service dog thing was not on a vlog. I think we first read something about it in a Facebook (or YouTube) comment. Then a GOMI member, ArchieLovesVeronica, told us the details. She knows some of the brothers and girlfriends.

Sadly, I don't think ArchieLovesVeronica has made it to this (much better) site.

I learned about GOMI when a Furious Fanatical Fan mentioned the "crazies" and "haters", accusing someone who made a less than starry eyed comment, of being a member there. So I googled it. This site is much better though, for a lot of reasons!

Long time lurker. Finally had to post. Did anyone else see the comment from one of their freaky followers that she is trying to talk her husband into vacationing in Utah this Summer? What the? Are they going to stand in Costco and hope to run into them? That would creep me out if I had FTYO's.

Oh for sure this site is way better. I came across gomi because my daughter watched the Greedners as we have our first grandson, her nephew who is the same age as the quads. He lives in another state so we don't see him much. She somehow came across them and wanted to see what her nephew would be doing st each stage in development. Well as I'm sure you all know he has surpassed their development in all aspects. So as I'm watching I'm thinking these people are just assholes. So one day I just googled their name and up pops gomi and this site. I checked out both and the gomi had much more activity so I made a user name there. All the while I would check back on here to see if there was any activity. Which of course there wasn't until the TLC thing. Oh jeez I forgot why I was telling you all this. Oh maybe because Merikat was telling you how she got to gomi.

On another thought did anybody read on FB current vlog comment some fan telling them she had emailed them several times and she had gotten no answer, she was going to be on vacation in their area and wanted to come over and meet them. Seriously lady? WTF is wrong with these people? Oh right they are fans of the Greedners...

Speaking of crazies, Fatso has a lot of siblings and if you think about how many are willing to be shown on camera vs how many aren't it just validates the fact that he is just a big ole smarmy buffoon (thanks to ? for buffoon)

Since I outed myself, as what the Greedners sadly call a "hater", on TLC's Facebook page, this Greedner Stalker has begun to harass me online as well.

Thankfully the country in which she resides, a land far, far away from Utah, has enabled a law to protect its citizens from online harassment hence I have lodged a complaint with the relevant Police Force in her country.

If anyone has within the past week, had their Facebook account hacked, or were made aware by Facebook that someone with an IP Address well outside the US, had tried to hack into their account please PM me ASAP as the Police with whom I lodged my complaint are very interested indeed in establishing just how far this obviously mentally unstable person (my belief not, the Police's at this point in their investigation) has gone.

Sorry to be the bearer of very uncomfortable news Sisters in Snark.

Thanks Sophie, I tightened my FB settings months ago. but went back in and changed a few post that were public to just my friends. I have been aware of this person for months and have watched her attack and try to connect fackbook names with names on Gomi and now this site. I just cannot believe she would go to such extremes just because others have a different opinion than she does.
Maybe she has crawled so far up the Greedner's rear ends she cannot think for all the crap lol. Thanks again for the heads up!!! Have a good day!!

I do think the girls seem happier in the last couple of vlogs, and Asswit is interacting with them much more positively than ever before!!

I was happily impressed that Esme (or whoever it was) recognized that the letters on the Olympics remembrance flagpole were, indeed, letters! (She sang the ABC's while marching around it). I was surprised; that was age appropriate recognition!

The girls seem way more mature ( in some indefinable way) now, too. Mimi and Papa may have treated them as children rather than babies last week.

Hope I see more positive progress this week!

By the way, I think the Greedners should concentrate on potty training Esme and indie right now, and not try to do all 4 at once. That would be an horrendous undertaking even for normal IQ parents!

How sad that Assley found a way to leave her kids again for a day so soon after getting home. All clown-faced and happy as a lark in the morning because she knew she was getting away. I found a couple things very telling:

She was trying to hug Scarlett after she put her in a red dress, and Scarlett turned her body away.
She was holding Esme and hugging her when Esme put her arm up to push away from her mother; Esme made a very confused face when Assley kissed her; she reached for her dad and showed no interest in being held by her "mother." That is just so sad to see.

Not bonding with your own kids can cause irreparable damage to them. I know because I never bonded with my own mother, and our relationship today is almost non-existent. When Assley is with her girls, she definitely puts on a persona of fake happiness and I think the girls can sense that.
