Homemade caramel popcorn my ass! That's the boxed microwave popcorn that comes with the caramel in a foil pouch and then you microwave that and stir it up.

The KAD are demanding his recipe. Oh, the recipe is a secret. Yeah, Pop Secret...

I’m wondering if this happens a lot. A “secret” recipe but then under pressure . . . she needs a quick recipe. It gives her a few days: do I give out the recipe? Such intense waiting for the KADS! In the meanwhile, a quick google search and she can find 2-3 recipes, merge them so they are her “family secret”, take an illegal copyrighted photo, and share with the KADS. Do you actually think there’s a single recipe that is her own? My favorite is the KADS that ask them to put together a cookbook. When I read that, I dropped my coffee in my lap.

I confess. He never said it was a secret. I just thought it sounded good with the product Pop Secret. But he DID say homemade. Which I of course believe is completely false.

Sorry I've been AFK, hospital visits have happened. Don't worry. Oldest is ok and home now. Sigh.

So. I did some back IG'ing and the husband and I took a closer look at Scarlett's finger. I won't post a picture here due to weak stomachs, but I will say, there is no way that was an accident. My husband, who has EMT training agrees, no way it was an accident. Plus the fact it's SUCH a deep cut, there is no way she wouldn't have been screaming her head off before it got THAT bad. Which truly angers me. It looks like a deliberate doing. Not an accident. Plus how much FatAss and WorthlessAss played it off, just truly sickens me.

This next week I should be back in full on snark mode.

Little kids and pinched fingers is one of the things I cringe over because it happened to me as a kid, it's happened to my kids. It happens so quickly. How they reacted after I questioned but not that they on purpose. This is partly why I give my small children a bath one at a time in a row vs all in the tub at once. It's terrifying to control several slippery children at once. No, thanks.

I have no comments on the Greedners this morning, the events in Vegas this morning have just consumed my thoughts. My heart goes out to all of the families that have lost love ones & to the ones that have been injured

My daughter is visiting her friend in Vegas and was at that concert, right up front when it happened. I finally heard from her around 1am and she is safe and is only scraped up from crawling out on her hands and knees and jumping over barricades but she's got somebody's blood all over her and is freaked out beyond belief she doesn't even care how she will get home, she's just glad to be alive. She got separated from her friend, lost her purse with her phone in it. She was able to call me from the MGM where they had a "lockdown" for people. She doesn't know her friends phone number by heart much less her address. I was able to contact her friend on Facebook to let her know my daughter was ok. But I haven't heard back from my daughter and she has no idea if her friend is ok, injured or even alive. I was able to get through to the MGM security where she called from to let her know her friends phone number and that her friend is ok but they moved everyone to the university of Nevada for disaster relief.

You can't call and talk to anyone there. They are only taking people's names to pass on to the coroner or hospital. At least I know she is ok. I just hate that she's all by herself freaking out because of what she went through and not knowing about her friend.

I'm just numb.

That would have been terrifying for her. And you. My heart goes out to all during this horrific time. Puts a few things into perspective doesn't it. She needs the biggest of hugs when she gets home.

So the wood floor in their house. Have they ever mentioned if it’s REAL wood? Because those four toddlers on real wood - that floor is going to be so scratched up and destroyed! Idiots. Who builds a home with no thought of the children they are bringing into it?

I think the wood floor is probably engineered wood.... which is still wood. Or laminate. But for ppl who keep saying they have had their hands in every detail, I'm shocked they can't remember they counter tops or floors.

There was a post a few pages back about why they continue to vlog and questioning whether they even enjoy it. From those I know in the family, Tyson and Asswipe love it. Love the attention, love the fame, love taping, love it, love it all. However, the girls are getting a little grumpy about it. And don’t “perform” as well on camera. Also posting vlog images of the girls brings criticism. That is why you are starting to see more and more vlogs sans the girls. I think they are trying to transition off the girls to themselves. However, watch the comments - “I watch for the girls.”

I believe Tyler and Ashley love it. They can't talk at all without turning the camera on themselves. It gives me such second hand embarrassment watching them talk and laugh at themselves on camera.

Can you (or another Mormon) share what the purpose of the conference is?
I'm curious, does everyone watch it on TV or do some attend it live?
Is everyone expected to spend the whole weekend watching it?

The Mormon church holds General Conference twice a year, once in April and another in October. Conference can be attended live in Salt Lake City, UT but most will watch it on tv as it is broadcasted. Conference allows members of the church from around the world to hear council from many of our Church leaders, including the head of our church. It’s a way to bring the church together and many members see it as a spiritual rejuvenation and reminder of the things we are taught within our church. It takes place of our usual church meetings for that weekend so all members are encouraged to watch. They also announce new temples, church wide announcements, etc. Hopefully that makes sense!

I think Cali did a great job summing it up. The prophet and leadership of the church are located in Salt Lake City. Since it’s a worldwide church, the biannual conference allows us to receive counsel from the leadership. It is rejuvenating to many and I love that I get to stay in my pajamas. It’s long. There are 8 hours for all members (in 2 hours chunks on Saturday and Sunday). I think the word expected is who you ask. In my home growing up, we watched all 8 hours no question. But I know a lot of people who will only watch Sunday sessions. There’s no one that ever asks you if you watch. Now that I go in and out of being an active Mormon, I haven’t watched it for a couple years but tuned in just for the Sunday morning session. The nice thing is, the talks all appear on the internet within a couple hours and are published by the church in the church magazine the following month. So if a session is missed, many say they will just read it. Some families are diehard. Others use it as a vacation weekend with no church responsibilities. To each their own!

Lovethispage- so glad your daughter is ok and I pray her friend is as well.

On the Gardner side of things, I really cringe when people say they slammed their own kids finger in the door on purpose. I really don't agree with that sentiment, but I have remained quiet. It's a snarksite so do what you gotta do, but I just feel it's over the top in my opinion. They may suck at a lot of things but I still think they love their kids and wouldn't do that.

But again- snark away sisters. I just wanted to also express my opinion. I can live with the fact that people surmise otherwise, but I do think it's a slippery slope.
