OKBaby: Too many trips, still no snip! | Part 35
Re: OKBaby: Too many trips, still no snip! | Part 35
Can someone ask Korina why she made a whole birthday post for Levi's birthday but didn't bother to even post a story for Alaya? lol Idk why this bothers me so much. I feel so bad for Alaya.

I found her on IG, that's horrible. Almost every post of her grandkids is about Levi. And under her story highlight "Toddlers" it is literally 97% Levi, with a pic or two of Teeny.
NO Alaya.
I feel so sorry for her again. The bags under her eyes. Did anyone ever consider that maybe she can't sleep in that basement? I couldn't sleep there now in my 30s. And Alaya has trouble sleeping anyway, right? I know I'm into astrology but it's just so funny that Aquarius is suppose to never sleep and that's me and Alaya and every Aquarius I've known. I never took a nap once as a kid. I wasn't running around. I just would sit and flip through books. Alaya has always had a bad sleep schedule. Why did they put her in that basement??

I do think Alaya probably doesn't sleep but between the iPad and the t.v. in her room that also doesn't help.
But also I think Kyra's filters do not help. Alaya is pale but not that pale and I think it makes under her eyes look worse.

You are right, it is like Alaya doesn´t exist to those people but to bother them.frenchfryfiend wrote:I found her on IG, that's horrible. Almost every post of her grandkids is about Levi. And under her story highlight "Toddlers" it is literally 97% Levi, with a pic or two of Teeny.

I think, so my opinion is, that Kyra is quite “disconnected” from her children not one more then the other just all equally.
However the kids are fine. They seem happy enough. I don’t know I maybe to old for this forum. I just figure these days that as long as the kids are happy and healthy that’s the main thing.
So what if Alaya is sleeping in the basement? Make your kids as independent as you can whenever you can. It’s a hard world out there especially for teenagers atm. Times are changing ..... again

Wow, you think it’s okay to leave your 3 old alone in the dark, unfinished basement while the entire rest of the family is safe & cozy together.

Yeah it’s good to let your kids work on independence but putting them in a basement with no curtains and a small little alarm system is not going to do anything but expose them to danger even more than they already have been. She’s 4. Not 14.
Also let me just remind everyone again that kyra said she would put a baby monitor in the room but there’s been no word of her doing that AND WE ALL KNOW THEY HAVE A MILLION BABY MONITORS FROM ALL OF THE KIDS THEYVE HAD. They 100% just put her down there so she would stop fighting with their precious Levi and so she could sit on her iPad and watch tv without bothering them.
It’s sick.

I would just like to voice that I don't like the attitude that Covid isn't going away, so go live your life. This is absolutely not okay. I speak as someone that had Covid, and let me just tell you, with all the trauma I've been through in life, it was by far the worst thing I have ever been through. I had it about a week and a half and so did my elderly mom and it literally felt like death. You DO NOT want to take that risk.
Sure, Covid is here to stay, but I read up on it all the time. In time it will become like the common cold and people will get immunity. Meanwhile, health officials are saying that if everyone were to be super careful, always wear a mask and social distance AND not travel, we could nip the worse of it in the bud. Not to get angry at anyone but it does really get to me when people are like "live your life!" Sure, you have to go to certain places like the bank or the grocery store, but if we were all responsible, maybe it would stop the 2.2 million deaths that have occurred. I really think there should actually be a ban on them going to PR. People that disagree are probably from an area that is not very affected, but here near LA, we have to ship in cold trucks to serve as morgues as so many people are dying. WHY TAKE THE RISK? Sorry, but it makes me angry that a family of that size, with little kids, feel the need to go on vacation in a pandemic. What if breastfeeding Kyra gets it? I'm pretty young and let me tell you, when I had it I could barely get up to feed my cats. I literally had to force two spoons of soup in my mouth or I would have died. Either they are just reckless or think it's not that bad.
I CANNOT stress how bad it is. I'd take my days of being homeless as a teen ANY day over it again, I mean it.
Like why even risk it!? What if you are that 1% who die!? Like cmon! Only Americans have these nasty attitudes!! I am so happy that you are okay now!

Jeez, I unsubscribed maybe a year ago and was recently reminded of this car crash of a channel. Now they have 4 kids?? And they moved to California - and back again?? And they’re getting unessential visits from FLORIDA ??? I’m not American but I’ve heard Florida is a cesspool regarding the panini/forbidden C word... and they wanna visit Florida too??? HUH???? I’m so confused. And not at all surprised lol. Absolute WRECK of a family.

Then don’t get in a car. Don’t step outside. Life isn’t guaranteed. There is a chance you could get the flu and die. Or get cancer and die. Hiding because of a virus with a 1% death rate is dumb. Especially if your young and healthy.elle_fantastic wrote:I love people with actual common sense!!frenchfryfiend wrote:Back when they were in the BBK warehouse in Utah did anyone notice that they practically battered Teeny up? You wear a seat belt when you drive? Drive a car with air bags? Avoid being drunk and driving? Wash your hands? Use sunscreen to avoid getting skin cancer? Try to eat healthy? What's the difference between doing those things and following the guidelines the CDC has set forth?chloe6124 wrote:Then don’t get in a car. Don’t step outside. Life isn’t guaranteed. Nobody is saying that they should "hide" ffs. But taking recommended precautions- wear masks (properly), wash your hands, social distance, and avoid unnecessary travel-- they're easy enough to do, and have been the same since last April. That's not "hiding". It's people who can't follow the recommendation that are stretching out the effects this virus is having on society. And wearing a mask is more about protecting others than keeping yourself from catching it. I personally think that doing something simple like that, that can save someone else is a good thing to do, but my parents brought me up to care about others. There is NO reason they _had_ to go to Puerto Rico. Kyra even complained about how stressful it was to travel with 4 kids. One of their houses is driving distance from some lovely beaches.
South Korea has more people than California: 51 million. They've had 86,000 cases of Covid-19, and only around 5,000 deaths. Meanwhile, California, with 31 million people, has had 3.5 million cases with 48,000 deaths. And no lockdown.

I can tell by trading these boards people in other countries feel very different about covid.
My uncle died from covid. Does that change how I feel no. He was 77 and could of got pneumonia and died also. I am auto immune compromised and don’t really go out because of my disability. If a mask makes you feel better put it on and go live your live. We can’t continue to live years like this. This isn’t going away and will always be around. So what your saying is never live again and enjoy life. We live with viruses and illness everyday. It has never stopped us from living life before.

You also can’t compare other counties. Genetics and lifestyle could have a lot to do with why other countries are so low. Years down the toad we may find our nationality played a part too. I also never said not to take precautions. That is the smart thing to do. But you can take those and get back to enjoying life.
Don’t be fooled either. Cases in this country are inflated with how they count them. I have had personal experience with that.

Where did I say "never go anywhere and never live your life"? And I didn't say wearing a seat belt guaranteed you will live. I merely said it's a precaution we take, and wearing a mask is no different. It also helps keep you from catching the flu, or spreading it to others. Like wearing a seat belt, using sunscreen, or other precautions, it increases your chances.
But hey, twist my words. Believe what you like. I'm done. We're obviously never going to agree and we've derailed the thread enough.
I'm sorry you lost your uncle.

I'm an American, a native Californian. Having had Covid myself, I can't understand this logic. I see people now in stores not wearing masks, not social distancing anymore and it makes me think other countries have common sense and we are spoiled and entitled here.lmmomSD wrote: ↑Fri Feb 19, 2021 4:33 pm Where did I say "never go anywhere and never live your life"? It's not that I think Covid will go away. I understand that you have about 1% chance of dying.
But tell me "go out and live your life and forget about it" AFTER you have had it. I may not have died obviously, and neither did my 70yo mom, but let me tell you, even with mild cases of it, it feels like DEATH. You literally can't sleep. You can't eat. And yet you can't fully stay awake either. Just taking the trash out (because I had to do it eventually) made me feel like I had to go to the hospital. It is so much worse than a regular flu. I couldn't hold food down for almost a week. Not to mention the fear I had of my mother dying. You get the worst fevers. At one point my mother didn't know where she was. She was trying to sleep at 8pm and kept telling me not to wake her up because she thought it was 8am. She'd flip flop back and forth. Everynight I would hear her moaning for hours. She told me once it literally took her an hour to move from her bed to turn on her lamp.
And like I've stated, I've been through some awful things in life. I've lived in homeless shelters. I slept on park benches as a teen. If someone asked me if I'd rather have Covid again or sleep on a bench, I'd run toward the bench. I am not kidding.
My point isn't that you'll necessarily die. A lot of things you don't die from. If you have a limb amputated you won't die usually, but do you want it? I'm not saying not to live life, but why can we not be precautious a little more? Like, not travel unnecessarily! Life isn't going anywhere. They could have waited a year to go to Putero Rico. Actually, that seems so much more sane, given they brought Aura who is only 3 months!
Anyway, I'm not trying to argue. But sometimes I run into people on Instagram or even in person that have doubts the virus even exists. I don't understand why people can't just wait awhile for these plans to "have fun". Believe me, just because you probably won't die, doesn't mean you want it. It's not worth the risk of just the suffering.

Re: OKBaby: Too many trips, still no snip! | Part 35
I just wanted to say, that despite all that, we had mild cases. We called the paramedics at one point and they told us to stay home unless we couldn't breathe. Otherwise there wasn't much they could do and the hospitals were overflowing.
I still live in great fear of it. I don't go anywhere without Purell and usually wear gloves. I can't take the chance. I also try to order groceries and stuff. I'm going to wait until the severity of it drops down to do anything big like travel. I have to get my shot first at the very least.

It actually shocks me that someone can use the death of a relative as an example and be like “oh well. They could have died anyway”.

Re: OKBaby: Too many trips, still no snip! | Part 35
Take your covid debate and belief elsewhere sheesh. That’s not what this is for nor do I care what anyone believes about it. Back to Okbaby.

Re: OKBaby: Too many trips, still no snip! | Part 35
I think we sometimes have to remind ourselves of the whole reason we are all doing this: to keep the hospitals from bursting with covid patients - this worldwide flood of hospital patients has fortunately been a unique situation so far, that has never happened with any other illness (at least in our lifetimes) and I do hope in the next months hospitals can go back to their regular routine and then so can we.
As I've already said before, it really makes me wonder what young people take away from watching OKbaby - if I was showcasing my life to over a million people I'd try to set a good example, not make young kids believe it's ok that have one kid after another and not be bothered to raise them, along with all the other stupid shit they're doing, like the Puerto Rico trip...

We wont always be in a pandemic but rn we are. So stop complaining and do your dang part to mitigate the spread so that we can go back to “living life”chloe6124 wrote:Just because you wear a seatbelt doesn’t guarantee your going to live. There is a chance you could get the flu and die. Or get cancer and die. Hiding because of a virus with a 1% death rate is dumb. Especially if your young and healthy.
