It’s R Life - Part 2: Buying, Lying, and Rudely Replying

I often rewatch their videos as I notice things the secon time around that I don’t notice the first go. I’ve noticed an interesting phenomenon happening to another channel that I read their snark forums except they’re further down the rabbit hole than the Riches: we’re starting to basically run the show for them. What I mean by that is that so many things happening in the videos are there to disprove what we say here by showing certain things or just by directly addressing it; they know we’re right about a lot of things so they change their behavior based on our discussions. A few examples: we discuss EV not having many friends so they show us her hanging out with friends, we discuss Hampton being overweight and no expected to do anything so they show us him doing chores (which was clear by his pissy attitude that this in a new thing) and workouts with his 12 year old personal trainer, we talk about properly caring for the fish and turtle so they make sure to tell us they researched things, we talk about Hampton being bribed with chee-a so they show us him actually getting it, we talk about EV being spoiled so now she has a chore list, we talk about the boys not getting anything but they shop with the girls constantly so we see them buying Sebi a drone, we talk about EV lying and Daniel calls her out for it, we talked about them getting so few comments but not bothering to like or reply to very many so they like and reply to almost all comments (for a couple videos anyways…), we discuss them not valuing education and their kids being behind so they make sure we know EV is a straight A student, the list could go on and on. If they follow the trajectory of the other channel I mentioned, soon the entire video will be disputing the “haters” and they’ll lose their loyal viewership because they will get annoyed by their behavior. One of the worst things YouTubers can do is get to obsessed with reading the gossip about them because it starts to dictate every aspect of their life. We can see their channel is dying regardless but this may very well speed up the process. It’ll be interesting to watch things with their channel play out.

I had a feeling that once Kendal calmed down that she’s re-edit and take some of the bashing Varsity stuff out (how has nobody tipped Varsity off yet about one of their models parents trashing them to over a million people?!) or would just straight up delete it so I downloaded before I came here to criticize it just in case . I will post the whole thing here just for future reference but I haven’t found a website to host it yet that will take a video that big/long because it’s like 30 minutes. I may need to put it in a Dropbox or Google drive but I need to make a pseudonym account first lol.

Man! I missed the flyer yelling at EV! I wonder if the video Varsity tv produces will have it? I’m honestly surprised Kendal acknowledged it in the comments - usually she ignores anything that calls out anything “negative” or makes a snarky remark.

This makes me wonder how the rest of the team sees EV as a performer. Do they hate her for sucking or was it just a heat of the moment, competitive fire coming out from the flyer? EV is pretty close to the weakest link- she had a pretty bad tumble touch in one of the first competitions and I don’t think she’s the best dancer (if her TikTok’s are any clue) so not sure what she brings to the table. EV will probably be on her S3 in team until she ages out.

Either way it makes me so happy to see EV getting put in her place.

anyways on a more polite note: Kendal’s lip filler did nothing for her and it was a waste of money. She looked good before and made her face worse by applying that fake plump because gUESS WHAT? IT DONT MATCH HER FEATURES.She looks like a wannabe blonde palm beach rich woman

Right?! Although I’m super duper careful on the Internet and would make a pseudonym account regardless! YTMD is fairly safe from my experience but other forums I hang around on are crazy bad with doxxing and this gal doesn’t want to be doxxed! She has already blocked one of my pseudonyms . I try and stay lowkey with them but then I get frustrated, say something that isn’t overtly praising Kendal, then get blocked

I’m planning to take out a varsity TV membership for summit and worlds so when I do, I’ll go back and watch this routine to see if it’s there! I completely agree, EV is pretty close to the weakest link IMO. I’m sure the team gets frustrated with her. My best guess is that her flyer yelling at her was because of a lot of pent up frustration from practices and she just snapped because she doesn’t want EV messing up their team at a competition. It’s funny that they wouldn’t tell us EV had the tumble touch but it was very easy to find. I think she’ll be stuck on S3 too. From what I’ve seen, if she gets to move up, it will be because of the clout of her family being a big YouTube channel not because of her talent as a cheerleader. Her tumbling is not ready for her to move up considering she still stresses out over doing a one to tuck which is where she had the tumble touch. She has literally been working on back tucks for at least 4 *YEARS*; she started learning it back in North Carolina and still hasn’t perfected it. If she had level 4 tumbling like a layout and stuff, Kenny would be sure to brag about it so I’d say she doesn’t have it. Her dancing is kinda awkward and she just looks kinda out of place. I think her sisters will move up and surpass EV while she’s still on S3. I can see Kap moving up to J3 or maybe even J4 with how quickly she’s been picking up new tumbling. She can do everything EV can at this point and probably better tool. Brin doesn’t have level 3 tumbling yet but they may move her up to J3 too if they think she’ll progress fast enough. The year after that, Brin and Kap will likely move up again while EV is still on S3. It really is refreshing to see someone call EV out for her shit and put her in her place. EV wants to be a cheer coach someday but if she never gets passed level 3, I don’t know that that is a reasonable goal. She’s just not meant to be a high level competitive cheerleader and that’s fine but Ken and EV need to chill and stop making her out to be so much better than she is when we can go see the performances and know the truth.

I believe what you say is true! I’ve noticed the same trend. Perhaps Kendal views is like a sort of sensor. We are no longer the ‘haters’. We are, what we always said we are: the critics. And acceptance of criticism is essential for growth…. Or in their case, survival

I’m glad you see this too! I’m hoping you’re right, that they’re finally seeing us as the critics not the haters and realizing we’re not just saying these things to be nasty… that other people feel the same way. If a lot of your viewers have the same criticism, you either grow and survive or stand strong against “the haters” and lose followers. Criticism is important for a reason! That’s why they pay the girls’ cheerleading coaches the big bucks, to give constructive criticism so they can improve. You either get with the times or the times get you.

Unrelated, EV first broke her dresser, now she broke the bed in the guest room jumping on the bed. Come on! She’s 17, she should be old enough to respect her belongings and her home and not ruin it. Maybe if she was made to pay to replace this stuff, she’d be more respectful towards her belongings. She’s old enough to know this by now. KD, please parent your children!

Y’all EV has a new boyfriend. He’s in the cheer vlog and he was on her Instagram stories (she took a screenshot of their FaceTime convo). His name is Dominic. I’m telling you now this one will end in disaster too because he looks like a BAD kid. If Cameron broke her heart she’s in for a rude awakening with this guy. Also, calling it now- EV is going to be a serial dater. She won’t be able to stay single because she needs a boy to make her feel special and validate her. I’m surprised mommy and daddy with the Christian values allow her to date every guy she makes eye contact with. Also, where is she meeting these people? She doesn’t go to school and she spends all her time at home or at cheer. AND what do these guys see in Ev? She’s pretty but nothing special and she seems to have a personality of a mop. Anyway, I say this relationship ends before summer and he cheats on her.

Hey.. so I’m new but not really new to reading. I’ve been reading here a long while and tried to register but the board always failed in sending me an activation email. Anyway, I decided to use a new email and here I am.

I noticed the new guy too…. Although he was also at the dinner with the “cheer family” where all the coaches were it seems, a couple of other cheerleaders and maybe parents. I wonder if they met through cheer- a son of a coach or sibling of one of the girls on a team.

Either way… even if she didn’t meet him that way. Do you guys remember a video they did where the girls went through the apps on their phones. I think it may have been before they got new phones and as Evie was reeling off her apps she said “bumble” really nonchalantly - bumble is a dating app. It’s possible she even met Cameron though this. Yes she went to youth group with him and church but we all know she wasn’t going before they met!

Anyway, I thought this was interesting and disturbing how a 17 year old… perhaps 16 at the time was using a dating app. I’ve used them myself before and they’re very much normal… but for a child!?
I don’t think I misheard her… maybe I need to find this video and check but I remember being shocked.

On another note… I too was appalled at the different treatment of the girls on their birthdays. Not only is Evie tested differently, the kids come to expect it and she’s completely spoiled. If you look back at other birthdays it’s the same. When she turned 16 I kind of thought ok.. sweet 16, but what’s so special about 17. Why does she get another trip with her mum and friend in a rental And expensive gifts.
If you go back a few years… for example what she got when she was 14 compared to brin now)- the girl got Gucci and as far as I can tell that same year the other kids got teeny family parties and little gifts.
I also checked Brinley’s 13th thinking perhaps they made more of a deal about her birthday then- as some do tend to with the first birthday into their teens- she got a tiny little party with just a couple of friends and her siblings, a cake and 3 pairs of Nike shorts from her parents. It hardly compares - and she always seems so grateful for even the smallest gift she gets which is so unlike Evie. I couldn’t find Evie’s 13th birthday but I know that’s back when they first started out and we’re in NC.

Also at Brinleys party this year I didn’t like how Evie was upstairs with a friend instead of with her sister. It’s one thing telling Kendal she wants only those 2 to go to places together for her birthday but another thing entirely to ignore your sisters party (especially when she jumps in on Brin and Kap’s social events when it suits her) and then only go down when it’s time for gifts. … I know Kendal likes to say all 3 girls are close but I see a nice friendship between Kap and Brin- they genuinely enjoy spending time together as friends as well as sisters. Kapri does seem more like Evie in terms of personality, but it is nice to see them enjoy each other’s company. Perhaps it’s seen as Kendal and Evie/ Brinley and Kapri… which is Kendals doing. Perhaps she should have stayed in contact with any friends she had in NC as she only seems to be friends with Evie now and the parents at cheer… with those friends changing each time they change gyms too- what a great role model she is to these homeschooled children.

Honestly wouldn’t be surprised that EV would be on dating apps. She’s been desperate for a boyfriend since she was like 14. When you’re homeschooled and do a sport like cheerleading where it’s almost all girls, it doesn’t give you a very big dating pool. I’m honestly surprised her parents wouldn’t make a stink about it but, at the same time, Kenny is her 17 year old best friend so she probably sits there swiping left or right with EV. Dating apps are definitely normal in this day and age but not when your 16 or 17. You can’t even join them at that age, you need to fake your age. I know when I was a freshman in university (or college as the Americans call it), I was 17 for the first couple months there because my birthday was late in the year. I had to mess around with my Facebook to change my age because tinder, which is what was the most popular dating app then, needed to be linked to your Facebook profile and you couldn’t join if you were under 18. Half the people I saw on there had their age as like 25 but then you’d read their bio and they were actually 15… way too young for dating apps! Most people I know use them, a lot of my friends have gotten married to people they met on them, but EV is too young. It makes me sad that teenagers these days are in such a rush to grow up. Yeah, there’s perks to being an adult but so much of your 20’s is spent feeling completely lost, as though everyone is good at adulting except you but really everyone feels equally lost. The teenage years are so much fun; you’re old enough to have some independence but also young enough that you don’t need to worry about the adult stuff like paying bills and all that jazz. If there’s any teens reading this, trust me on this, you only have like 10 years to be a teen and you have the rest of your life to be an adult; don’t rush through your teen years, savor them and enjoy them!!! The adult world is certainly not as fun and easy as TV shows and movies make it out to be.

I’m not going to elaborate about the birthday unfairness because I already have a novel many pages back but totally agree! I didn’t like EV’s attitude at the party either. I think she dislikes not being the center of attention so she was hiding out. I also thought it was really rude when they were guessing who’s gift was from who and EV just pointed at people and said something like “her or her”. It just felt really rude. She could’ve asked the girls who she thought it was what their name is.

I like that Brin and Kap are so close! They fight a lot but I don’t think it’s serious, I think they’re just playing around. KD used to always consider EV and Brin as the big girls (they shared a room in NC) then would group Kap with the younger kids (Kap shared with Sebi in NC). EV and Brin are 4 years apart versus Kap and Brin are not even a full 2 years apart so it makes sense that they would relate to each other so much more than with EV. Kap and EV come off very hot and cold to me (on EV’s end not Kap’s). EV can be all nice and friendly with her or she’s completely rude to her. Brin seems to be getting tired of this treatment but not Kap (yet). I think this pairing now of EV/Kendal and Brin/Kap was their doing. Kendal seems to want EV to herself and not share. The dynamic often feels to me like EV & Kendal are like the high school mean girls and Brin & Kap try and fit in with them but they don’t want them to “join” their group. Kendal should’ve kept some NC friends because she seems to have few friends other than her cheer moms but those cheer mom are friends of convenience not true friends; if they left flip, I think the friends wouldn’t stay around. Other than the cheer moms, she has Veronica, her travel agent, and EV and that seems to be it.

Unrelated but I don’t understand all the yelling and screaming that goes on. EV especially but now Brin and Kap are picking it up where they scream all the time like they’re being murdered or something and yell a lot. This is such a weird behavior to me. The idea of just flat out screaming feels really.. hmm.. maybe awkward (?) to me. Maybe it’s because I don’t like being the center of attention but I’ve never seen people yell like these kids do. I don’t have an armchair psychologist theory yet about this behavior.

So on a previous thread I had mentioned that The rich daughters compete at my former gym. An individual quoted my post asking if I knew any tea or drama on the rich girls and mama rich. I unfortunately do not have any tea to spill. Unfortunately when I left Flip City, a lot of the girls and guys I saw as friends turned against for quitting on the gym, after my last season with them. A good bit of my teammates did not like that I left the gym for a better gym and team.

What I can say about the family though is that they are the what my family calls new money. By this it means “someone who got rich quick, but went broke even faster. I do feel though had the rich family been much smarter with their money and made wise investments(not shopping challenges and how many designer items can we buy in a day type stuff), the entire family could have been set up for life.

A bit of advice the riches need to hear and understand is the rich and wealthy stay that way because they are smart with their money, not stupid and waste it on senseless spending. They are definitely trying to keep up with the joneses and that is not a smart finical decision. But also according to Kendal I am probably just a stupid teenager who knows nothing and is jealous of them

Hey Merbear! Would you be comfortable sharing what the fees are at FC? I’m really curious how much money they’re spending to have 3 girls in cheer that need uniforms, shoes, travel fees, etc. as well as all their private lesson. I imagine it’s probably a pretty penny. From what I heard, all star cheer is ridiculously expensive and that’s for 1 kid, not 3.

Speaking of private lessons, I wonder why Brin and Kap have flexibility and tumbling privates but EV doesn’t. Does Kendal think she’s so good that she doesn’t need privates perhaps? Her sisters are surpassing her skill wise with their privates; I think EV will be left behind. She needs some privates IMO if she wants to move up. Things seem to come easier to Brin & Kap or they just put a lot more effort and time into it. EV doesn’t seem like a “natural”, it seems she needs to try really hard to keep up but she it just isn’t there yet (in comparison to girls on her team not her sisters)

That clip at the beginning of todays vlog where Kap was acting as Kendal was hilarious. She did an spot on parody! Sounded like Kendal write a script or something with how accurate it was! Great job Kap!! Just giving credit where it’s due

It confused me how big of a deal they made on Valentine’s Day. Is it a big deal in the US? They acted like it was Christmas or something. They gave the girls all gifts even though they already did a gift exchange. It feels like content made out if desperation because they’re running out of ideas and their everyday life is boring, the same things happen/they do the same things every day.

When Kendal got her chocolate covered strawberries, she bit into it *over* the tray of strawberries. That’s so icky!!! She would’ve dropped strawberry juice and probably salive got sprayed on the rest. Ew… They also speak with food in their mouths all the time. This seems to be a vlogger thing, a lot do it. Be a grown up; chew your food with your mouth shut and swallow *before* speaking. I don’t want to see and hear people smacking on their food. This all may make me sound anal to some but I think it’s just basic manners every adult should have.

Kendal was also really hyping up cheer sport and she may be right that it’s a bigger competition than summit in terms of the number of teams but it’s not nearly as prestigious or as big of a win as Summit; Summit is like Worlds for youth, junior, and senior teams lower that level 6. Cheer sport is a big win but Summit is bigger. She was talking about how FC brings performance and speed and sass but the performance aspect is only one small part on the scoresheet. Difficulty of the routine is valued much more. Judges would score a routine that’s slower but much more difficult above a team who puts on a good show but doesn’t have the same level of difficulty. She really doesn’t seem to understand scoring in cheer… I wonder if they’re driving because they can’t afford for the whole family to fly; they said most others were flying and I don’t know why they’d choose that huge driving over flying if they didn’t have to.

Lastly, why the heck was Daniel repiercing Kap’s ears for like the 4th or 5th time? She *just* got them redone professionally and they’ve closed already? If they close that fast, I don’t understand why they keep redoing it during competition season because they know she’s going to have to take them out to compete. They’d be much better off waiting until after Summit where she can have 3-4 months to leave the piercing without taking it out (which is what your supposed to do for at least a few months, you’re not supposed to change it or take it out for those few months). They’re just going to end up redoing it constantly and possibly wrecking the hole by redoing the piercing with just an earring not with a needle like it’s supposed to be done. It’s so silly. I know she’s not competing at cheersport but she still doesn’t have at least 3 months to leave them in; her next competition will be sooner than that. Why bother causing her pain repeatedly when you know it’s not going to last? I’m not calling anyone stupid but that is the definition of stupidity: doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results…

Yes girl! Rule of thumb for me anyways is to always save things that are questionable/that could end up being deleted. The internet is forever . I don’t understand what she’s talking about in this story? Does it look like there’s a tornado coming? I really don’t know, no tornados in my area!

Unrelated, I was watching a video from a couple months ago and Kendal was flipping out because she couldn’t bring the girls to tumbling and Daniel brought them since she was getting her hair extensions put in. She went on and on about how she never lets Daniel bring them, that she has to go and watch because it’s the highlight of her whole week. She admitted to texting Daniel and Kapri the whole time trying to get them to send her videos. Umm.. helicopter parent much? Why does she need to sit through their whole practice? My parents stopped coming to my martial arts classes when I was like 12, they’d just drop me off and come get me. Kendal can’t do anything without the girls nor can she let the girls do anything without her.

Another thought, why the heck are all the kids so terrified of the doctor?! I’ve never seen kids at this age all be so scared of going to urgent care or a doctor’s office in general. EV even gets super nervous for MRIs which she has had many and they’re like a super easy non invasive test. Maybe it because I have a terminal disease and spend a lot of time in the hospital being poked and prodded constantly but come on… they’re at the age they shouldn’t be scared of a simple appointment. I’m going to assume Kendal is the reason for that as she seems to cause a lot of the fears the girls have in general because she dramatizes every little thing. I even remember a vlog where she asked Kap several times if she was afraid (not a doctors appointment) and Kap kept saying no but Kenny ignored her response, pulled her into a hug, and said to her something like “oh you’re so scared Kapri!”. She seems to put words into their mouths and unnecessarily dramatic thoughts in their heads. I get that Kendal has anxiety, that is obvious, but she doesn’t need to put her anxious thoughts on her children. My armchair psychology explanation is that it’s a classic case of projection, using that defense mechanism to deal with her own anxiety. It won’t do her kids any favors… it just makes them have a much higher chance of growing up into anxious people like their mom.

One last thing, they made a whole vlog and big deal about car shopping for EV but haven’t mentioned it since. Where’s her car????? My best guess is either it’s because EV still doesn’t have her license or that they can’t afford another car, likely the latter but possibly both.

‘Twas I that said about projection. Glad you agree too! I agree with you as well; Kendal and maaaaaybe EV were the only ones super gung-ho about Florida. The other girls say they would like having seasons then Kendal tells them how bad it was and they reluctantly take it back. Sebi said something once about how bad it was in NC… he was like 5, I’m sure he doesn’t remember much and, if he did, I can’t imagine him hating it at that age. His opinion comes solely from what Kendal tells them they should feel IMO.

She is definitely a shopping addict and bankruptcy may very well be on the horizon. THAT will make for interesting content . Say bye to your massive house (with a huge mortgage I imagine) and daily shopping sprees! It really isn’t normal to shop and spend that much money. It’s nuts!!! She needs a therapist so she can learn to cope with life in a healthy way instead of just using shopping as her therapy. That is not a healthy coping mechanism.

Kendal has mentioned about not using credit cards and I think that’s because of their possibly impending bankruptcy. My dad was on the board of a non profit that helped people on the verge of bankruptcy recover without having to actually file for it and getting rid of their credit cards is a big thing they do so they’ll only spend the money they already have; most of those people and I imagine the Riches as well probably have a lot of credit card debt so they get them to ditch the credit cards to not continue building debt as they work to help them pay it off. I wonder if this is what Daniel was crying about in that room makeover vlog?

Wtf! This may be an unpopular opinion but I think crocs are butt ugly and spending $70 on ugly rubber shoes full of holes is asinine. Just get a knock off pair for $20 instead; they’ll be just as good. Using her visa debit card confirms what I mentioned above about them not using credit cards! That was a great catch!

Totally agree!!! Plus EV only wants an expensive car. I bet if they offered her a cheap used one that isn’t exactly what she wants that she’s refuse. She’s rather being driven around all the time than drive an old/cheaper/used car. Most 16/17 year olds are so happy they’re getting a car that they don’t care what they’re driving. I was thrilled to get my dad’s 15 year old Ford Focus, I just was grateful to have a car.
