I know! If you already have a sick child that needs every help it can get to thrive, a concerned mother would make sure to attempt to keep breastfeeding if she is able to. And 'too much work' isn't a good excuse to stop. I also hate that she only showed lily for a split second..I was trying to get a good look at little lily, but before I could the frame went back to half of Vanessa mug.

That rooming in room video made her look really bad, it's like the epitome of child having a child. And she's going to get back to her book while lily is awake? She could have talked to, sung to to and cuddled lily. That's what I did while my newborn was awake! I didn't watch Vanessa from that early on....

Also did you hear her say that she has that machine to know when shes alive and when shes dying?!? Something is seriously wrong with her, how dare she say something like that knowing her daughter barely made it and could have died!!!

I wonder what the Dr thought when V told them pumping was too much work. And the nurses when they went in to check up and she was reading her book or filming a video while Lilly was awake in the crib, or when she complained about the inconvenience of being up all night with her newborn . . . .
I bet if she wasn't going home with her mom they wouldn't have let her take Lilly from the hospital!

I'm pretty sure the Drs are not gonna recommend lily to travel to Peru after what she just experienced in Florida. But Vanessa is gonna end up taken her anyway. Like an idiot . vanessa is just so careless why are you even considering on still going anywhere after what just happened ?

Wow, with all Lily went through right after she was born Banessa and Davuud thought nothing of joking around about Lily being dead while she was a newborn.
I just watched Banessa's 'Teen Mom: Lily Comes Home' and at around 12:37 in that video Banessa asks Davuud if Lily is sleeping. After Davuud says yes Banessa says "Are you sure?" And Davuud looks at Lily again and says "No, she's dead." Then Banessa says "She's dead? Oh, ok." And the voice Banessa was talking in...Good lord. The amount of immaturity of those two in that video is unbelievable.

I have a question. This may have already been asked and answered so I apologize if it has.
Is it just standard procedure for the hospitals in the US to do that 'rooming in' thing for the last few days just prior to discharge from the hospital for the parent of a newborn with special needs?
I think it's a great idea for anyone who has a newborn with a special needs- teen or not, but was wondering if the nurses felt like Banessa needed extra teaching and observation.
Just curious. Fortunately both of mine were born healthy so didn't know if that's something the hospitals require for every parent of a special needs baby. Hope that made sense.

Going back to her old videos, she recorder one about Lily's neck surgery.
She had planned on getting it done when Lily was one, and she said Lily had no issues at all with her neck so the surgery was purely for cosmetic reasons.
If that's the case, insurance won't cover it, and that's possibly why she hasn't gotten it done.
